NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST

AIEED 2018

AIEED 2018 is a national level entrance exam for admissions in to various UG and PG designing courses. It is conducted by the ARCH Academy, Jaipur.

  • AIEED Registration procedure will commence from November, 2017.
  • Candidates must register and carefully fill out the application form and pay the required application fee of Rs 1,500/-.
  • Candidates must download AIEED Admit Card which will be made available online for download and print.
  • AIEED will be conducted in online and offline modes.
  • Candidates can select their preferred examination centers or preferred date and time slot of examination at the time of applying.
  • AIEED 2018 comprises of two tests, namely GAT and CAT.
  • The objective type examination comprises of 45-50 questions worth 200 marks and the duration of the examination is 3 hours and 15 minutes. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Results for the online exam will be announced 7 days after the date of exam and candidates will receive an SMS intimating them of the results.
  • Candidates who successfully clear the AIEED 2018 will then be invited for the Personal Interview round.
  • After completion of the Interview, a merit list is prepared and candidates must participate in the AIEED 2018 Counselling which will be conducted in the ARCH Academy, Jaipur Campus.

AIEED 2018 Eligibility

Candidates have to carefully check the eligibility criteria before they initiate the application procedure.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Courses

  • Candidates should have passed the 12th standard examination (or equivalent) from a recognized board or must be appearing for the qualifying examination that year. 
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
  • Candidates who have a valid NATA/AIEEE score need not appear for the AIEED 2018. They can directly appear for the interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Courses

  • Candidates must have a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University or must be appearing for the qualifying degree examination that year.
  • Candidates must be at least 19 years old.
  • Candidates with a valid CAT/MAT score card can apply but will have to qualify the AIEED 2018 test and the personal interview.

AIEED 2018 Application Form

Candidates can apply for the AIEED 2018 either in the online mode or offline mode. AIEED 2018 Application Form will also be available in offline mode at the ARCH Academy of Design Center and can be obtained along with the prospectus. A print of the application can also be taken from the official website.

At the time of applying offline, candidates must have photocopies of 10th, 12th and other qualifying degree (if applicable) mark sheets and 2 attested passport size photographs.

Candidates who choose to apply for the AIEED 2018 in the online mode must complete the following steps.

  • New User Registration
  • Registration Instructions (must be read carefully)
  • Filling of Personal and Educational Details
  • Upload of photograph and Signature
  • Online AIEED Fee Payment
  • Uploading of other necessary documents
  • Print of Confirmation Page

Candidates must have scanned images of the following documents ready at the time of online application.

  •  Passport size photograph. Size of the file cannot exceed and the file must be in jpg/jpeg format
  • 10th, 12th and other qualifying degree mark sheets
  • Valid Address proof.

Application Process for NRI/Foreign Nationals

Candidates applying under the NRI Category can only make the payment via Demand Draft of 75$ drawn in favor of ‘ARCH Educational Society’ payable at Jaipur. They also need to upload/submit the following documents along with the AIEED 2108 application form.

  • Attested copy of relevant pages in Passport
  • Equivalence Certification of educational qualifications issued by the suitable Embassy.
  • Attested copy of the proof of NRI/Foreign National Status

AIEED 2018 Application Fee

Candidates must pay the requisite AIEED2018 Application Fee of Rs 1,500/- in order to complete the application procedure.

This payment can be done through Online Payment Gateway/Cash payment at any branch of Bank of India.

The payment can also be done via Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of ‘ARCH Educational Society’ payable at Jaipur.


AIEED 2018 Admit Card

AIEED 2018 Admit Cards will be issued 7 days before the examination date. Candidates can download and print the AIEED 2018 Admit Card from the official website.

Candidates must neatly paste a recent photograph on the space allotted in the Admit Card and get the Admit Card attested by a Gazetted Officer.

Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination center in case they fail to bring the print out of the Admit Card.


AIEED 2018 Exam Center

Candidates have to mention the preferred mode (online or offline) of attempting AIEED 2018 while filling out the application form. If candidates choose offline method, they must select 3 exam centers in order of priority from the list of centers available.

If candidates choose online mode of attempting the exam, they must enter 3 examination dates from the dates available and preferred time slots (either 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) in order or priority.

Candidates can change their center/date and time slot, allotted by ARCH Academy, if they submit a written request for change along with the valid reason and mail it to admission@archedu.org. Candidates can request for a change only once and this request must be submitted at least 15 days before the examination date.


AIEED 2018 Exam pattern

AIEED 2018 can be attempted either in the offline or online mode. In the online mode, candidates can attempt the examination from home or a cyber café provided they have the necessary prerequisite technical requirements (high speed net, web camera etc).

There are two tests that comprise the AIEED 2018. 

  • CAT (Creative Ability Test) and
  • GAT (General Ability Test).

45-50 questions will be asked in the AIEED 2018. The test is conducted for 200 marks and the duration of the examination is 3 hours and 15 minutes. There is no negative marking scheme.

Medium of the question papers is English and Hindi. However, candidates choosing to attempt the AIEED 2018 in online mode must note that the question paper can be answered only in English. Candidates attempting the exam in the offline mode can answer either in Hindi or English.

AIEED 2018 Syllabus

AIEED 2018 Results

Candidates who have appeared for the AIEED 2018 in the online mode will be intimated of the results via SMS, 7 days after the completion of their exam. Candidates will also receive the call letter via email. Candidates who have successfully qualified can appear for the personal interview.  

Candidates who have appeared for the AIEED 2018 in the offline mode can check their results declared on the official website 2 weeks after the completion of the Center Based Test. Candidates will also receive the call letter via email and hard copy. Call letter will contain the information regarding the interview date for successful candidates. 


AIEED 2018 Selection Procedure

AIEED 2018 Selection is done by considering the performance of candidates in the AIEED 2018 Exam, other previous performances in qualifying examinations, performances in interview and portfolio etc. Portfolio of candidates includes various sketches, illustrations, essays and prose by candidates which is used as a parameter to judge the creative abilities of candidates.

Candidates who have successfully qualified in the AIEED 2018 exam will be called for the interview which will be held in the ARCH Academy, Jaipur. Candidates must reach the venue of interview well in advance of the scheduled start time of the interview. Candidates absent for the interview will be immediately disqualified unless a valid reason is provided by candidates well in advance of the scheduled interview date, in the form of a written request.

Provisional Admission is offered to candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination that year and are awaiting results. Candidates must submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination by July.


AIEED 2018 Counselling

Selected candidates will be required to participate in the AIEED 2018 Counselling, which will be conducted in the ARCH Academy, Jaipur Campus. Candidates will be informed of the date and time of the Counselling.

Based on the order or merit, candidates will be given admissions into the various courses.

Documents required at the time of Counselling:

Candidates must carry the copies of the following documents attested by a Gazetted Officer.

  • AIEED 2018 Admit Card
  • Valid ID proof
  • Migration Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Educational Qualification Mark Sheets

Candidates who fail to participate in the Counselling or who fail to submit the requisite admission fee will be ineligible for admissions. Seat allotted in such cases will be passed on to the next candidate in the merit list.
