NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is organized by All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to the top B-schools of India. MAT 2016 exam will be conducted in offline mode on 11th December 2016 and online mode on December 17, 2016. The selection procedure of MAT includes Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). Result for the MAT Exam will be declared by third week of December, tentatively. MAT Cutoffs will be released after the announcement of the results and the admissions to participating institutions will be made on the basis of the cutoff.
MAT Cutoffs are based on several factors such as difficulty level of exam, number of seats offered by the participating institutions, total number of test takers, reservation norms, previous year cutoff trends and result of the exam. Total score for MAT exam is 800 and the cutoffs are declared in form of marks of MAT scores. Candidates are required to obtain the minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for the pre-admission rounds of the participating institutes.
The cutoff for MAT December exam is the minimum marks needed by the candidates to be selected by various management institutions for their pre-admission rounds. If the candidates score more than 500 in their MAT exam result, they are likely get admission to the top institutions. The last rank included in the cutoff is the cutoff rank. Candidates should also keep in mind that the cutoff rank will decide the priority of the candidates in the selection. The candidates with higher rank will get higher will be a priority to get selected.
Cutoffs of previous years are taken into while preparing the current cutoffs and most probably these cutoffs are similar to each other. Similar patterns are observed in the Cutoff trends. The MAT Exam Pattern consists of five papers comprising objective type questions with multiple-choice answers. The candidates have to attempt questions based on Language Comprehension (40questions), Mathematical Skills (40 questions), Data Analysis and Sufficiency (40questions), Intelligence and Critical Reasoning (40questions) and Indian and Global Environment (40 questions) in 150 minutes.
