NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli (IIM Trichy or IIM T) has declared its admission criteria for admissions into its Post-Graduate Program (PGP) for the batch 2018-20. The notification also states that IIM Trichy has planned for the batch size of 180 candidates. IIM Trichy will consider CAT 2017 Score to shortlist candidates for further selection process.
CAT Result will be announced at iimcat.ac.in on or after January 15, 2018. Institutes will call the candidates meeting their mentioned Cutoff and other requirements for further GD/PI Rounds for further selection Process.
IIM Trichy has the right to make any modifications to the admission criteria. Given below are the details of all admission criteria for admission into PGP in IIM Trichy.
This year, IIM Rohtak will conduct PI & WAT of shortlisted candidates on behalf of the 9 new IIMs viz. IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya & IIM Sambalpur. The GD/PI-WAT will be conducted in various cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. Shortlisted candidates for WAT PI Rounds will be intimated by IIM Rohtak.
Admission procedure into PGP in IIM Trichy begins with the shortlisting of candidates. This is done entirely based on CAT percentile secured by candidates.
The table below provides indicative information about the minimum necessary percentile candidates belonging to various categories need to secure in order to be shortlisted for the ensuing WAT/PI processes.

Candidates shortlisted for P/WAT rounds based on CAT percentile will be required to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) and Written Analysis Test (WAT).
Apart from CAT percentile, the PI and WAT rounds have a huge bearing on the IIM Trichy admission criteria for the Post Graduate Program.
Personal Interview (PI) round is designed to test candidates in their various interpersonal skills, soft skills and the extent of their technical and problem-solving skills.
Writing Analysis Test (WAT) aims to measure candidates in their grip over vocabulary along with the presence of necessary content. Candidates are also judged based on the quality of written content.
The PI and WAT rounds will be held at the following venues-
Candidates will be informed of the exact dates and timing of the PI and WAT rounds by the IIM that is coordinating admission procedure for the 2018-2020 batch. IIM Rohtak is the coordinating IIM for 2018-2020 acting on behalf of the 9 IIMs.
The 9 IIMs are- IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Sambalpur and IIM Rohtak.
