FAQs

QUES.  If I confirm my interest in IIM Nagpur, does it will affect my position in other IIMs?

Ans- No, The admission process and seat allotment  offered in every IIM is independent of other and therefore accepting or declining an offer from any other IIM will not affect your chances in IIM Nagpur, or vice versa.

For showing your interest in IIM Nagpur you have to confirm your interest as the time available for IIM Nagpur admissions, the institute would not like to spend time on people who are no longer interested in IIM Nagpur as earlier the location was Maharashtra.

QUES. Why is IIM Nagpur asking applied candidates to confirm their interest for admission to PGP?

Ans: Yes ,the interested candidates have to show their interest in seeking admission in IIM Nagpur because as the location is changed from IIM in Maharashtra to IIM Nagpur candidates are confused whether to take admission in Maharashtra or Nagpur and as you are well aware that the admission process  in Nagpur is short spanned so the authority does not want to waste time in scrutinizing candidates who are disinterested in IIM Nagpur

QUES. How much do I have to pay while confirming my admission?

ANS. The amount is not likely to go beyond Rs 50,000. The amount will be balanced against payment of tuition fees paid afterwards. Of this only Rs 1000 will be retained as pre GOI (Government of India) guidelines if the person does not actually join the institute.

QUES. I got an interview call from other IIM(s) but did not attend. Will I still be considered for admission at IIM Nagpur?

Ans:-Yes, but only if you have confirmed your continued interest in response to the email already sent to you by the authorities. The email will be sent only those aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria used to prepare the first shortlist i.e. the minimum cut off in CAT 2015
