CAT 2017 NEWS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
In CAT exam, Logical Reasoning has always been a game changer. To receive a call from any of the IIMs for the selection round, a candidate must have also scored a desired sectional cut off. Even if a candidate has the overall cut off percentile but lacks in sectional cut off, they will not be called for the GD-PI round. So it is very important to score section-wise cut off too.
Often students find Logical Reasoning section tough and lengthy. This is mostly due to the lack of preparation and practice. If enough time is devoted to this section and prepared strategically, this section can help in scoring a good percentile in CAT 2016.
In 2015, Logical Reasoning was clubbed with Data Interpretation to form the second section of the test paper. There were a total of 32 questions in this section, 16 each from LR and DI. Though the number of questions are less but considering that each correct answer fetches +3 marks, it is important to focus equally on this section.
Generally, LR questions are framed in such a way that either you can answer all the questions asked from one set or you won’t be able to answer even a single question. Sometimes LR questions are such that even after investing 10-15 minutes to one question, a candidate is not able to retrieve any information from the information provided.
