NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
All the CAT 2015 Aspirants looking for the notifications on the exam it is for you that there are many changes in the CAT 2015 exam to attract the students form a non-engineering background.Last year over 30% students were from non-engineering background.This year it is expected to have more percentage of students form non-engineering background.This year CAT 2015 will have not only objective type question paper but also subjective and descriptive questions.The exam being handled by IIM Ahmedabad. Registration for the CAT 2015 was started on 6th August 2015 and this year the process for registration is online only.

Some of the major changes that will be seen this year in CAT 2015
Earlier CAT exam used to have 2 sections but it has been a surprising that CAT 2015 will have 3 sections namely: ‘Quantitative Aptitude (QA)’, ‘Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)’ and ‘Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)’ and the pattern would be as follows:

One of the major changes that will be seen in the exam is that there is increment in the duration of the exam which was 170 minutes before but now it has been changed to 180 minutes which seems to be a positive change for the aspirants

In the previous academic years Cat is known to be conducted in the month of October but form the past three years it is been conducted in the month of November and this year there is further delay in the date. CAT 2015 will be conducted on 29th November 2015 which is good news because candidates will have more time to prepare for the exam and score better
Unlike Previous year CAT exams which were held in two days,CAT 2015 will be conducted in a single day testing window on November 29,2015 in 2 sessions of morning and afternoon instead of 2 days in CAT 2014 or 20 days in CAT 2013.In 2014,TCS was able to manage well the first CAT assigned to it in the short testing window of 2 days and it is expected that it will be able to manage CAT 2015 in a single day without any flaw.

IIM Ahmedabad has announced that the result of CAT 2015 will be delayed and will be declared in the second week of Janurary 2016
In CAT 2014 the result was declared on 27th December 2014 so this year it has been delayed adopting the trends of result declaration before 2014.

This year there will be a 46 days registration window from Aug 6 to Sep 20, 2015 which is less than previous year which was of 56 days which opened on Aug 6 but continued till Sep 30, 2014.
This year CAT 2015 is completely online and will not offer the facility of purchasing the off-line vouchers.Aspirants of CAT 2015 will have to register themselves online from August 6 to September 20, 2015 by paying registration fee of Rs.1600/- on-line only.

CAT 2015 has saw another positive change as this year candidates can select 4 cities as preference (Not testing centres) at the time of Registration.In CAT 2014 the candidates could select only 3 cities as preference.CAT 2015 candidates do not have the choice to schedule their test on the preferred date as this year there will a single day exam and they cannot finalize their choice of center and session at the time of on-line Registration and filling up the application.

CAT 2015 will be held in the largest ever number of test cities and more testing labs.The number of test cities are 136 and number of testing sites are 650 as there the number of students to accommodate will be more because this year it is a single day exam.According to the previous year statistics there were 99 test cities and 354 testing sites in CAT 2014 which is very much when compared with the test cities in CAT 2013 in which there were only 40 test cities with 76 testing sites.This major hike in number of test cities and test venues was due to the longer testing window of 20 test days in CAT 2013 and shorter testing window of 2 days in CAT 2014 and beating them this year the testing cities are 136 with 650 testing sites.
