NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
CMAT or Common Management Admission Test is an AICTE approved test conducted for admission in all management colleges approved by AICTE. It is an objective type, computer based online test. Earlier CMAT was conducted twice a year but from the academic year 2016 onwards, CMAT will be conducted only once a year, on the third Sunday of January. AICTE has announced dates for this year’s CMAT. Registration window opens on November 3, 2015 and closes on December 10, 2015. Exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 17, 2016. The detailed schedule for CMAT is as follows:

Registration process is online and payment can be done online and offline. Students who seek to appear in CMAT 2016 must first check their eligibility for the CMAT exam. A candidate who has either completed graduation program of minimum 3 years or is in the final semester of the program and has secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation (45% for reserved category) can appear for the exam.

Once you have ensured that you have all the information and documents required to fill the application at hand you can begin the process of filling your application.

As mentioned earlier the application procedure is a three way process beginning with Self-Registration.
1.1 Visit the official website for CMAT
1.2 On the right hand side of the page there is a tab for New Users. Click on the tab.
1.3 After you have clicked on the New User tab, you will be redirected to the official registration page. On the Registration page you will be required to fill the following details:
1.4 After filling the required details click on the Submit button. Make sure that none of the blanks are left unfilled. In that case your registration form might not be submitted.
1.5 Once the Registration Form is submitted you will get a Congratulatory message confirming the submission of your Registration form and with your login credentials.
You will also receive a mail regarding the submission of your Registration Form and your Login credentials. After this you move on to the second phase of the application process.
Once the registration process is done, click on the Proceed button to move to the payment process. Payment for CMAT 2016 can be done through either online or offline mode.
Application fee for General candidates is 1400 INR and for Female/SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates it’s 700 INR with additional bank charges in both cases.
Select your preferred payment method and click on Submit. Once you select the preferred method of payment, you will be redirected to the respective gateway to process payment.
2.1 Online Payment
2.1.1 If you select the Online Payment method, you will be redirected to the payment page where you will find your order number and the amount to be paid.
2.1.2 Click on the Checkout button and you will be taken to a page where you will need to fill billing information and the details of your Credit/Debit card.
2.1.3 Select one of the online payment methods mentioned, i.e., Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ Cash Card/ Mobile Payments/ Wallets. Make sure that you have the corresponding details at hand and you fill them correctly.
2.1.4 Click on Make Payment. Wait for the payment to be processed. Depending on the card you have selected you will be redirected to a page where you will be asked to enter either of the following information - online password/ OTP/ PIN. In case you have selected Internet Banking, you will be asked to login to your internet banking account.
2.1.5 Once your payment is processed you will receive an email and an SMS confirming the same. Now you can proceed to the last part of Application Process.
2.2 Offline Payment
If for some reason you do not wish to make the payment online you can always select the cash payment option on the payment page. Last date for submission of Offline fee is December 11, 2015 and the corresponding date for completion of application process is December 13, 2015. After this date no application request will be entertained.
Following is a Step-by-Step guide to help you during Offline payment for CMAT :
2.2.1 Click on Submit button on the Payment page you will be redirected to the Instructions page. This page contains the basic instructions for printing and payment through challan.
2.2.2 Click on “Please Proceed to Print Challan”.
2.2.3 You will be redirected to the Challan page. Click on Print and print the Challan.
2.2.4 The generated challan will look something like this.
2.2.5 Sign at the designated space before you head over to the bank to submit the challan. Head over to the nearest branch of State Bank of India on the next day of generation of challan. For example if you generate challan on November 3, then walk into a bank for submission of challan on November 4.
2.2.6 On submission of the challan and the fee you will receive the Candidate’s copy of the challan back with bank’s stamp and a journal number on it. Make sure the journal number is clearly visible. Keep your copy of the challan safe.
2.2.7 After submission in Bank you will have to wait for 48hrs. During which your payment details will be updated in the application database.
2.2.8 Once your payment details have been updated you will receive an email and SMS confirmation. Now proceed to complete the remaining part of the Application form.
After the payment is processed you will have to fill in relevant details in the Application form and click on the final submit button. Information that you may require to provide include:
After filling all the relevant details your application form is good to submit. Before final submission don’t forget to check if the details entered are correct or not. To change any data that you have entered click on the View/Modify button and re-read the information entered and make any changes if required.
When the Application form is filled click on the Proceed button and you will be redirected to the confirmation page. You must check the “I have checked all the entries filled in by me and found them correct” then proceed to submit. You will be asked to make a declaration and you must click on the “I Agree” button. The system will ask you to re-confirm. After you confirm again, your application will be finally be submitted.
You must remember that once your application goes through final submit, no changes in the application data is possible. So make sure to fill in the details correctly and go through them carefully at the View/Modify stage. On final submission of the form you will get following message on your screen:
To view your filled in, complete application form click on the Preview button. You can also save your application form for future reference.
