MU OET 2017 Preparation Tips

MU OET (Manipal University Online Entrance Test) is conducted by Manipal University every year to invite candidates for admission in Engineering and Medical courses viz. MBBS, B.Tech., BDS, B.Pharma., BE, etc. MU OET 2017 Registration date will be announced on the official website of Manipal University. Candidates are required to visit the website and submit their details and complete the registration process. After completing the registration process aspirants are supposed to book their date, center and slot through OTBS (Online Test Booking System).

The tentative date of MU OET 2017 registration is November 2, 2016 – 4th week of March 2017. It is assumed that MU OET 2017 examination will be held in 2nd and 4th week of April, 2017.

MU OET 2017 is a computer based test of duration 2.30 hours. MU OET Exam Pattern is structured in a way that the question paper has 200 multiple choice objective type questions divided into four sections

  1. Mathematics: 70 questions
  2. Physics: 50 questions.
  3. Chemistry: 50 questions
  4. English and General Aptitude: 30 questions

MU OET Syllabus includes topics from 10+2, while for English and General Aptitude candidate needs to be updated with the latest happenings in the world and work on his/her grammar and vocabulary.

How to prepare for MU OET 2017?

It is veryimportant for the candidates to prepare strategically for MU OET 2017 and follow a planned routine, here are fewimportant preparation tips that will help the candidates to do the preparation for MU OET 2017.

  • Plan a strategically balanced routine: It is the initial and mostimportant step of the preparation journey. Candidates are required to plan a routine and divide their time equally among the four sections. This is how they will be saved from wasting their time on unnecessary topics and will be able to cover each section properly.
  • Practice Sample Paper: Candidates must make it their habit to practice sample paper regularly for each subject viz. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Solving mock test paper will give the idea of MU OET question paper pattern and candidates will get to know which topics are asked frequently and should be given more attention on.
  • Time Management: It is the key to success. Time management is deciding element of any competitive examination. Candidate must learn to know how to manage the time and not to waste any. It is essential to plan a schedule for the preparation for admission to MU OET Participating Colleges. Candidates are advised to follow the schedule and prepare strategically for examination.

  • Plan the schedule for each subject separately: Candidates are required to plan out a schedule and strategically divide the time between each subject and start with the one that the candidate is not very strong in.

It is very important for all the students to know what they should avoid while preparing for MU OET.
