MAHCET 2017 Answer Key, Question Paper & Analysis

MAH MBA CET was conducted on March 4 – 5, 2017. DTE, Maharashtra organized MAH CET for admissions to MBA/MMS programmes in various institutes in Maharashtra. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Candidates appeared for the entrance test can check the MAHCET 2017 answer key in this article. MAH MBA CET paper was divided into three sections which are Logical & Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. It consisted of 200 multiple choice questions. Each question carried one mark and there was no negative marking for the wrong answers. Candidates had to solve the paper in 150 minutes and there was no specific duration for each section. MAH CET 2017 result will be declared by DTE Maharashtra on March 10, 2017. Candidates will be shortlisted for MBA admissions on the basis of MAH CET Score. MAH CET 2017 Answer Key

The official MAH CET 2017 Answer Key may or may not be released by DTE, Maharashtra. The tentative answer key for the both days will be updated once it is available. The sequence of answers in the answer key will be similar to the order of questions asked in the entrance test. MAH CET 2017 answer key is needed to know the correct answer for questions asked in the entrance test and it requires to know the solving steps and actual answer for the questions. Candidates can find their chances of selection with this estimation.

MAH CET 2017 Section-Wise Analysis

MAH CET 2017 question paper consisted of 50 Quantitative Aptitude questions, 50 Verbal Ability questions and 100 Reasoning questions. An overall score of 150 can be considered a reasonably good score.


Verbal Ability Section

Verbal Ability section was of moderate to easy level. Reading Comprehension (Two Passages) and Cloze Tests contained maximum weightage. Both the passages were concise and easy to read. The questions were based on Synonyms and Antonyms, Cloze Test, Odd Statements, Para Jumble etc. Candidates could easily score more than 40 marks if they attempted properly. Most of the questions were quite easy to attempt and less time consuming. Quantitative Aptitude Section

This section comprised 50 questions. There was a mixture of Data Interpretation and Aptitude questions. DI section covered most of the questions and there was no new type of questions in this year. Candidates find the DI section was time-consuming. The questions were asked from Averages, Series, DI Tables, DI Pie Chart, DI Bar Charts, Arithmetic Operations, Areas etc. The questions based on DI Tables and Arithmetic Operations were quite easy to attempt. The difficulty level of the questions was moderate. Any score more than 35 will be a good one. Here is the table of the topics asked from Aptitude section.

Logical/ Abstract Reasoning Section

This section was divided into Logical and Abstract reasoning. Total 75 questions were asked from Logical Reasoning section. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. Most of the questions were covered from Arrangement and Visual based topics. The other questions were from the areas of Syllogisms, Symbol, Data Sufficiency, Strong & Weak Arguments, Input-Output, Critical Reasoning, Direction Sense etc. The Arrangement topic included Matrix, Parallel, Linear and Circular based questions. These questions were time consuming but easy to attempt. The questions based on Input-Output were hard to attempt.

There were 25 questions asked in Abstract Reasoning section. This was the easiest section in MAH CET 2017 entrance test. The questions were based on Syllogisms, Analogy types and Visual Movement.
