NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
The official notification for NEET 2017 has been delayed. It is expected to be release in first week of February. The application form is also expected to be out in first week of February.While the application process is completely online, the application fee for NEET 2017 can be paid in both online and offline mode.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or are appearing in HSC examination in PCB subject group are eligible to apply for NEET 2017. Check detailed Eligibility for NEET 2017.
NEET 2017 application process will be conducted online. The application form can be accessed from the official website. The application is a four-step process, i.e. Registration, Form Filling, Uploading Documents, and Fee Payment. The application process for NEET 2017 is explained below.
Step1: NEET 2017 Registration
In order to access the application form, a candidate will have to first register themselves on the NEET website. The step-wise process for Registration is given below:
Enter your personal details i.e. your name, parent’s name, valid email id and security pin. After filling all the details, click on " Submit" button
Step 2: NEET 2017 Form Filling
You have to provide following personal details :-
Have you ever been debarred from taking NEET exam: Yes or No
2. Birth Place and Previous Year's Roll Number Details
In this candidate has to fill the details like Address, State & District. The field for Previous year NEET Roll Number is Optional. However Candidate if appeared last year then he can enter his last year roll number
3. Contact Details
You have to enter your contact details viz House Number.,LocalityVillage/Town/ City, State, District, Pin Code of your Mailing Address, Email ,Mobile Number with Country Code landline with STD code.
4. Parent/Guardian Details
Enter the details of both father and mother (Occupation, Qulification and Income).
5. Academic Details
Enter details regarding your 10th class examination like School Name, Address of School, Board, Year of Passing and Marks obtained in 10th class.
Note: While entering % of marks in class 10: You have to enter your marks in percentage, if you have marks in CGPA,then multiply 9.5 with your CGPA scored.
6. Qualifying Examination Details
Enter the details of your qualifying examination like Qualifying Examination Code, School Board, Year of Passing, Type of Institution, Name of School, Address, Study in India or Abroad, State of examination, District and Marks Obtained.
7. Details of Marks of Qualifying Examination
Enter your marks subject wise. While entering Details of Marks of Qualifying Examination, if you have studied Botany and Zoology as two different subjects then indicate the total of both the subjects in the field of Biology.
8. State Code of Eligibility Option for State quota Seats as per information Filled in
In this field you have to fill details about your state, domicile, etc. For this Candidate can check their eligibility for state quota.
Also the guidelines framed by the universities regarding the domicile are under the university control.
9. Details Regarding Paper and Login
Medium of Paper: Candidate can chose the language of question paper. Once saved candidate can’t edit the medium. If Hindi is chosen by the candidate then the question paper will be both in Hindi and English language
Choice of Examination Centre: Candidate can chose three examination centre in order of priority and proximity. Candidate can check the list of examination centre. Candidate must note that the choice of centre will not be edited once submitted.
Security Question: Security Question is important for candidates in case they forget their login password. Candidate can chose any of the questions provided on the official site and answer that question. Candidate can also note down the question and its answer for the future purpose also.
For entering Password Candidate must ensure that the password is of 8-13 characters long and there must be atleast one Upper case letter, one lower case letter, numeric and one special character like @#$%^
10. Preview Or Save
Check all the details you have filled in the application form. You will be asked to review your page after clicking on "Next" Button". If you want to recheck your filled application form you can check it by clicking on Back Button.
Check Your Form and Then Submit It.
Step 3: Uploading Of Images
While filling the application forms you have to upload the scanned images of Passport sized Photograph, Signature and Right Hand Index Finger Impression. Image must have white background. Size of photograph must be between 10KB to 100KB.
Write your name in Capital letters and the date of the photograph taken on it. The photograph must have been taken after January 12, 2016. Only spectacles are allowed. Polaroid and Computer photos are not acceptable.
While uploading the image, system will recognize only one face using face recognition technology. Signature must be uploaded in appropriate box. You should sign in running hand. Signature with the name written in capital letters will be rejected. Size of the Candidate’s Signature scanned image is between 3KB to 20KB. Image must be in JPEG format.
Right Hand Index Finger Impression must be uploaded in designated field. Size of the image is between 3KB to 20KB. Image must be JPEG format.
Note: Candidate can upload the photograph which does not have the name and the date of photograph. But if they do so then they will have to bring that photograph at the time of exam for verification Purpose. In both the case candidates must bring photos with them.
Step 4:Payment of NEET 2017 Application Fee
There are 3 modes through which the NEET 2017 application fee can be paid:
Mode-1- Application fees can be paid online by credit card or debit card
Mode-2-It can also be done through e-challan copy.
Mode-3-Fee can also be paid by e-wallet to CSC* and an auto generated receipt of amount paid will be obtained
Note: If fee has been paid twice via Debit/Credit card then candidate’s fee will be refunded by the bank similarly as in the fee refund take place in case of railway reservation. If payment has been done twice then the concerned bank will automatically refund the fee after verification.
Charges Applicable on Various Modes of Payments:
Applicants should scan their recent photograph, signature and thumb impression as per the dimension specified by CBSE in the important guidelines on the official website. The Photograph as instructed should be recent with the name of the candidate and date of photograph taken. The signature should be written with a blue/black ball point pen on a preferably white background.

You can edit your photograph and signature by following steps:-
After submission of form and fees, you can check your form status by logging on your account on the website with registration id and password. you will get to know whether their form is submitted successfully or it is incomplete.
If anyhow you forget your password, then you can reset your password, Visit the official website, click on Candidate Login. There you will find “Forgot Password?” Under registered User Sign In option, “click on Forgot Password?” Option, this will direct you to password regenration page. You can reset your password through two methods, either through OTP or using the answer provided for Security Question during the registration process.
Enter the details asked in fields and click on Submit. Then reset your password and login with new password.
The application cycle for NEET 2017 will begin in the month of January 2017. The application process will end in the month of January. The detailed schedule for NEET 2017 is given in the table below:
