NEET PG 2017 Application

The NEET PG 2017 Application Process will be conducted online. Those candidates who are interested must register for the NEET PG 2017 exam. The candidate can apply from September 26, 2016 to October 31, 2016. Candidates will have to fill the online application form which will be made available on the official website. The exam is scheduled to be held in 41 cities across the country.

Aspirants are advised to check the NEET PG 2017 Eligibility criteria before applying. Those who fail to meet the requirements will not be allowed to appear for the exam. While filling the NEET PG 2017 Application Form, candidates must ensure they provide correct data. In case of errors, the application may be liable for rejection.

NEET PG 2017 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate 2017) is a competitive medical entrance examination held for admissions into MD / MS and Post Graduate Diploma Courses of various institutes.


NEET PG 2017 Important Dates

It is important for a candidate to know all the important dates related to NEET PG so that he or she doesn’t miss important deadline. NEET PG 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NEET PG 2017 must be referred before starting the application process. In case a candidate is found unable to meet the specifications, his or her application will be rejected.

The detailed NEET PG 2017 Eligibility criteria are explained below:

  • A candidate can appear for NEET PG 2017 only once in an academic year.
  • The candidate must possess an MBBS degree.
  • One year of internship must have been completed before March 2017.
  • Those who are applying from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir will not be considered eligible for All India 50% Quota seats.
  • However, those nominated by the Indian Government to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will be eligible to apply.

It is strongly advised to apply for NEET PG 2017 only if the candidate meets the eligibility requirements. Ineligible applicants will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process under any circumstances.

Instructions for NEET PG Application Form Filling

There are some important points that must be kept in mind while filling the NEET PG 2017 application form. This will help ensure that no mistakes are made in terms of application and the process is completed smoothly.

The list of general guidelines for the NEET PG 2017 form filling process is given below:

  • The online registration will start from September 26, 2016 (7:00 A.M. onwards)
  • The registration process must be completed by October 31, 2016 (by 23:59 hrs).
  • It is advised to finish the application process at the earliest to avoid last minute issues.
  • Candidates must not provide any false or fabricated information in the application form.
  • If an application is found to contain false details, the candidate will be debarred from appearing in any future examinations.
  • Candidates must go through all points mentioned in the Information Bulletin, available on the official website.
  • The application form must be complete in all respects. Otherwise, it will be liable for rejection.
  • Application fee will not be refunded in case the application is rejected.
  • Candidates must apply only if they are sure they wish to take the exam, as application once submitted cannot be withdrawn.
  • Any application submitted or fee paid after the due date will not be entertained and the fee will not be refunded.

NEET PG 2017 Application Fee

The application fee amount for NEET PG 2017 will vary depending on the category of the candidate. The fee must be paid in order to submit the application form successfully. No candidate will be exempted from application fee payment.

It must be noted that the above-mentioned fee is inclusive of examination fee and information brochure charges. The Information Brochure will not be sold separately and can be downloaded from the official website. The application fee will not be refunded or carried forward if the candidate’s application is rejected. If the candidate fails to be present on the day of the exam, he or she must forfeit the fee.

Mode of Fee Payment

NEET PG Application fee can be paid only by using online methods of payment. There are no offline options available for the same. Candidates can pay the fee amount by using either a Credit Card or a Debit Card. Internet Banking services can also be used for purpose of fee payment.

If the candidate chooses to pay via either card options, he or she will have to provide name on the card, card number, expiry date of the card and his CVV. If opted for net banking facility, the candidate must provide his username and password for the bank account he holds.


NEET PG 2017 Registration Process

The registration process consists of several stages that the candidate will have to complete. In each stage, there are multiple fields that will have to be filled. The registration process is estimated to take a total of 15 minutes. It is advised to gather all the necessary documents and information before starting. To begin the registration procedure, the candidate must visit the official website.

The various stages of NEET PG 2017 Registration Process are described below:

New User

The candidate must click on “I am ready to register”. Enter the Captcha displayed on the screen to verify that you are a human. This will redirect the candidate to the following stage.

Create a profile

  • Your name and email

Provide your name, email id, gender, names of your father and mother. There should be a gap between the first, middle and last name of the parents. No salutations are to be used while entering the names.

  • Create a login

Next, create a login id by specifying a username, password and a secret question. The username must be alphanumeric and less than 50 characters. The password must contain at least one alpha and one numeric character. The length allowed is 7 to 20 characters. Agree to the Data Privacy Policy.

  • Contact Information

Specify a primary and a secondary telephone number. Mention your complete postal address. Click on “Save” to continue to the next section.

  • Upload Images

Upload your photograph and signature according to the given instructions.


NEET PG 2017 Application Process

After the profile, has been created, you will be redirected to the exam selection page. Select NEET PG from the drop down menu. Click on “Save and Continue”. Read the general information for the exam on the next page.

Personal Information

  • Enter personal information such as Nationality, Date of Birth, and Category for both All India Quota Seats and State Quota Seats.
  • Choose the Residential Domicile State. In addition, select the State or UT for which you are eligible for State Quota Seats. Also, provide a reason why you consider yourself eligible.
  • Specify if you are willing to opt for DNB Broad Specialty courses of January 2017 batch. This cannot be modified at a later stage.
  • Specify preference to take up the course in Armed Forces Medical Services institution or hospital.
  • Mention if you are physically handicapped, your religious or linguistic minority (if any).
  • Provide two physical marks of identification.
  • Mention your UID number, if applicable.
  • Enter your MCI / SMC Registration number along with name of the Medical Council and the Type of Registration.
  • Click on “Save and Continue” to move on to the next section.

Educational Background

  • Enter total aggregate marks obtained in MBBS degree.
  • Mention the university’s and college’s name from where MBBS degree was acquired.
  • Also, specify the month and year of passing MBBS.
  • Enter information regarding Internship completion date
  • Enter any additional educational qualifications.
  • Provide information about being deported / rusticated during a medical course or being accused of unfair means usage.
  • Specify details if you have appeared for any NBE exam before.

Upload of Photo ID and MCI / SMC Certificate

  • Upload the image of your photo id that you intend to carry on exam day to the test centre.
  • Also upload your MCI / SMC certificate.
  • For this purpose, click on the “Browse” button to select and upload the documents.

Declaration by Candidates

  • Read the declaration provided and select “I agree” or “I disagree”.
  • In order to continue with the form filling, choose “I agree” and click on “Save and Continue”.

Errors

  • If there are any mandatory details that the candidate has not entered, they will be highlighted in red.
  • The mandatory details are marked with “*” symbol.
  • Candidate must provide information corresponding to these fields in order to continue.

Schedule the Exam and Select the Location

Candidates must choose a location out of the 41 test cities in India. The allotment will be done on “First Come First Serve” basis. If the seats are filled for the location the candidate wishes to choose, he will be notified and will have to go for another test city.

  1. Select Test Site
  • After selecting a location, all test cities available there will be shown on the screen.
  • Candidate can choose any one of the test venues.
  • Detailed address for a test venue can also be seen by clicking on “Directions”.
  • Click on “Schedule Appointment” to book that test venue.
  1. Select Date and Time
  • All available test dates will be shown for the test venue selected.
  • Select any date highlighted in blue.
  • For that date, choose either one of the forenoon and afternoon sessions.
  • If a test date or session is not being shown, it means that seats for that particular date or time slot have already filled up.
  • To edit the test venue, date and time, go to “Your Selection” at the top right of the screen. Use the “Back” button to modify the details.
  • Click on “Save and Finish” to move on to the next section.

Make Online Payment

The fee payment can only be made online. Use either a credit card or a debit card or net banking facility to pay the fee amount. The transaction must be completed within 30 minutes of selecting the test venue and date. Otherwise, the selections will be cleared and you’ll have to start the process afresh.

After the payment has been made, a confirmation page with all details entered in the application form will be shown. Verify each field and if a change has to be made, use the “Edit Application” option.

  • Application Summary Email

After the application has been completed, an email will be sent to the candidate within 24 hours containing the filled in form. Take a print out of the form and keep it safe.

  • Admit Card Summary Email

The Admit Card will be sent to the candidate by email within 24 hours of completion of application process. Verify all the details and take a printout of the hall ticket.

  • Re-Entering the NEET Registration System

You can log into the Registration system for editing details or finishing your application. Visit the official website - www.nbe.edu.in - and enter the username and password.

In case the candidate has queries regarding the registration process, they can make use of the information links. These links are always in shown in blue text as a hyperlink. Relevant information related to the section of registration will be shown.


Forgot NEET PG 2017 Username or Password

If the candidate has forgotten his login credentials, he can retrieve it by following the given steps:

  • Click on “Forgot your username or password” link available on the Login page.
  • Select which credential you would like to retrieve.
  • To retrieve your username, enter the registered email id and CAPTCHA displayed.
  • Click on “Email Username” button.
  • Enter the answer to the Secret Question on the next page.
  • Click on “Email Username button” again.
  • The username will be sent to your registered email address.
  • In order to retrieve password, enter your username and displayed CAPTCHA.
  • Click on “Email Password” button.
  • Provide the answer to your Secret Reminder question.
  • Click on “Email Password” button again.
  • The password will be sent to your registered email address.

NEET PG 2017 Uploading Images

Candidate will have to provide some important images ad part of the NEET PG 2017 application form. The uploading of images will be allowed during the mentioned registration time frame. It is important to ensure that the uploaded images meet the specified standards. Otherwise, the application may be rejected.

On the profile page of the application form, the candidate must upload scanned images of his photograph and signature. The candidate’s photograph uploaded must not be more than six months old. It must have been taken with a white background and appear clear. Other instructions for the upload of photograph and signature will be available on the screen when applying.

The step by step process to prepare these images for upload is explained below:

  • Open the image in MS Paint software.
  • Click on the “Resize” button at the top.
  • A “Resize and Skew” pop-up window will open.
  • In this window, under the “Resize” option, check the “Pixels” button and uncheck “Maintain Aspect Ratio”.
  • For the candidate’s photograph, set the Horizontal value as “206” and Vertical value as “265”.
  • For the candidate’s signature, set the Horizontal value as “302” and Vertical value as “132”.
  • Click on “OK” button and save the picture.

In addition to the photograph and signature images, the candidate will have to provide his Photo ID and his MCI / SMC certificate as well. These will have to be uploaded on the Educational Background tab of the application form. The detailed requirements that these documents must meet are provided below:

NEET PG 2017 Admit Card

The admit card is the primary document that needs to be carried on the day of the exam. The NEET PG 2017 Admit Card will be issued to all those candidates who have submitted completed forms within the specified deadline. The admit card will not be sent by post to individual candidates.

The Admit Card will be issued to the candidate when the registration and scheduling processes have been completed. The candidate will receive the NEET PG 2017 Hall Ticket by email. A printout of the admit card must be taken and a photograph affixed in the appropriate place. The photograph must be according to the indicated specifications.
