NDA 2017 Application Form

NDA 2017 (1) Application form will avaiable from January 18, 2017. Candidates can fill the NDA application form through official website. Application form will be avaialble online. Last date for the NDA Application form is February 10, 2017. 

Candidates from General and OBC Category has to pay Rs.100 as application fee. Candidates from SC/ST category and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from paying fee.

NDA 2017 Application Form

Candidates can fill application form through online mode from Official website. Candidates are required to upload the scanned images of photgraph and signature while filling the application form. Candidate must fill the form safely. No changes will allow after submitting the form. After filling the application form candidate needs to note the application number. Candidate must take the printout of application form and keep it safe for the future use. There is no need to send the application form to the authority via post.

NDA 2017 Eligibility

  • Candidate must be citizen of India, also Bhutan, Nepal, tibetan refugee those who came in India before January 1, 1962 with the intentions to settle permanently in India.
  • Unmarried Male Candidates can Apply
  • Candidate must be physically fit as per the norms of authority
  • For NDA 1, Candidate must be born in between July 2, 1998 and July 1, 2001
  • For NDA 2, Candidate must be born in between January 2, 1999 to July 1, 2002
  • Students should have passed or appearing in 12th or equivalent with physics and mathematics subjects (For Air Force/ Naval Wings of National Defence Academy & for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy)
  • Students must have cleared or appearing in 12th or equivalent exam (for Army Wing of National Defence Academy)

NDA 2017 Application Fee

The NDA Application Fee is INR 100/- has to be paid by all the candidates except the SC (Schedule Caste)/ST (Schedule Tribe) candidates. The OBC candidates are not exempted from paying the NDA application fee. The NDA application fee can only be paid in offline mode through bank challan. No other modes like DD, Check, etc. are acceptable.

The applicants for NDA Exam are advised to go through the following guidelines of UPSC before submitting the application fee.

  • The SC/ST candidates and the candidates who are sons of JCOs (Junior commissioned officer) /NCOs (Non-Commissioned Officers)/ORs (Other Rank) of Army are exempted from the payment of the NDA application fee.
  • The NDA application form fee can be paid online through the net-banking facility or credit/debit card.
  • The offline payment of the NDA application form application fee requires the applicant to download the challan receipt of State Bank of India. An amount of INR 100/- has to be deposited as the NDA application fee at the nearest State Bank Branch.
  • The net banking facility for payment of the application fee is acceptable of only State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore.
  • The candidates when opt for the “Pay by Cash” option must pay the application fee within 24 hours.
  • The “Pay by Cash” link will be deactivated at 23.59 hours, on the last day of NDA application form filling.
  • The payment slips generated on the last day will be valid and the candidate must pay the application fee at the nearest counter.
  • In case the candidate is not able to pay the application fee on within the bank working hours on the last day, then the candidate must pay the fee through debit/credit card. The application is rejected otherwise.
  • The payment of the application fee will be accepted only if it paid on time and through the modes defined.
  • NDA application form fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • If the cash payment for a particular candidate has not been received from the bank, such cases are treated as fake and such applications are rejected.

Note: The sons of serving/ex-Junior Commissioned Officers/Non-Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks of Army and equivalent ranks in the Indian Navy/Indian Air Force are not required to pay the prescribed fee if they are studying in Military School (formerly known as King George's School)/Sainik School run by Sainik Schools Society.

The candidates of Sainik schools have to provide the written recommendation letter from the Principal of Sainik school. The letter has to be produced at the time of SSB interview.


How to Apply for NDA?

Candidate needs to follow the instructions for the regsitration of NDA form:

  • Candidate has to visit the official website
  • Click on the link “Regitration Part 1”
  • Fill all the Important Details
  • After submitting the form, a registration number is generated
  • Note down that Number for further use
  • Click on the Link “Registration Part 2”
  • Make the payment for the Application Form
  • Upload all the required documents
  • Click on “I Agree”
  • Now take the print out of application form

How to Fill NDA Form 2017?

Candidates must keep all the required documents ready before applying the NDA 2017 exam:

Documents Required

  • Valid Email Id and Password
  • Scanned Photograph with 140*110 px. Image must be in JPEG format and size must be in between 3kb to 40kb.
  • Scanned Signature with 110*140 px. Image must be in JPEG Format and size must be in between 1kb to 40kb.

Candidates have to follow these steps for fiiling the NDA application form:

Part -1: Registration and Filling Form

Go to Official Website: Go on the official website of UPSC. Click on the link with the text “Online application for various examinations of UPSC”. Click on the link “Part-I registration). Read all the instruction carefully and then click on “Yes” button.

Fill the NDA Form: The NDA 2017 application form will appear on the Computer screen. Candidates are needed to fill all personal details, qualification and address details. After filling all the details click on the “Continue” button.

Verify the Details: After filling the application form, candidates are required to choose the branch preference and click on “Continue” button. Filled application form will appear on the computer screen. Check all the details entered and click on “I Agree” button. Registration number will be generated, candidates are required to note down the registration number for future use.

Part – 2 Fee Payment

Payment of Fee: Candidates have to click on “Part 2 Registration”. Enter the registration Number and their DOB. Click on Submit Button. Click on Payment option. Make payment through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/Cash Payment in SBI Bank. 

Center Selection: Candidates have to select 2 choices according to their preferrence. After that click on Submit Button. 

Part – 3 Upload Images

Click on the “Photo & Signature Upload” section. Chandidate has to upload scanned images.Image of scanned Photograph with 140*110 px and Scanned Signature with 110*140 px. Both images must be in JPEG format. The size of photograph must be 3kb – 40kb and signature is 1kb – 40 kb. Choose and upload the scanned images of photograph & signature. Click on “Continue” button.

Part – 4 Accept the Declaration

Click on the “Agreeing to Declaration” option. Read the declaration carefully and click on “I have read declaration & agree”. Now candidates will be able to take printout of the application form.
