MP DMAT 2016 Exam Pattern

Madhya Pradesh Dental or Medical Admission Test 2016 or MPDMAT 2016 is conducted by Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges. It is a national level exam that is taken by students who want to get admission into MBBS/BDS and Nursing courses in various private dental and medical colleges across Madhya Pradesh state.

2,220 no. of seats in the private colleges of Madhya Pradesh are reserved for admissions through MP DMAT 2016. There are 6 MBBS and 14 BDS private colleges in MP. Candidates can fill the application form online on the official website http://www.apdmcmp.com/.

MP DMAT 2016 examination will be divided into 4 sections (Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology). There are total 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the exam. Each section has 50 questions. It is a 3 hour duration test and conducted in both English and Hindi Medium. A candidate will be rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

The selection will be based on the rank scored by the applicants in the MP DMAT 2016. The candidates have to meet the criteria in order to get the admission. It is a pen and paper based examination. A candidate will be given OMR sheet to mark answers. The questions will be asked from the syllabus of class XI and XII.

MP DMAT 2016 Medium

It will be conducted in both English Medium and Hindi Medium.

MP DMAT 2016 Mode 

It is a pen and paper based examination. A candidate will be given OMR sheet to mark answers. The candidates have to use only Black Ball Point pen to mark the answers.

MP DMAT 2016 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of MP DMAT 2016 is given below

  • The duration of the exam is 3 hours. No extra time will be given to the candidate in any condition to complete the paper.
  • MP DMAT 2016 examination will be divided into 4 sections including Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
  • There are total 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the exam.
  • A candidate will be rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
  • A candidate can score maximum 200 marks in the paper.
  • No marks will be rewarded or deducted if a question is not attempted.
  • Each Question has only one answer. In case a candidate marks multiple answers to a question in the OMR sheet, then no marks will be awarded.
  • A candidate is expected to attempt all the questions since all questions are compulsory and there is no negative marking.
  • Scratching, over-writing, tick mark, use of erasers and whiteners and use of pencil or pen other then Black Ball Point Pen will not be awarded any marks.

The standard of the MP DMAT 2016 exam will be that of HSE or an equivalent exam. The syllabus for the exam will be declared by the competent authority. Award Of Marks In Lieu Of Cancelled or Defective Questions

The competent authority gets each question on the test paper inspected by “subject experts” along with the answers recommended by the paper-setter and moderator after the completion of the exam. If any question is found to be flawed by “subject experts”, then it will be cancelled.

A Question can be cancelled due to reasons stated below

  • Incorrect arrangement of the question
  • There is more than one right answer
  • There is more no right answer
  • Any printing error that results in a situation where more than one answer may be right or none of the answers may be right.

MP DMAT 2015 Exam Analysis

Thousands of candidates appeared for the MP DMAT 2015. The competent authority effectively conducted MP DMAT at various centers in Madhya Pradesh State along with centers outside the state.

The duration of the exam was 180 minutes. The examination was divided into four sections- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Chemistry. There were total 200 MCQs in the exam. A candidate was rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer and no marks were deducted for wrong answer.

Over all the entrance examination of 2015 was difficult as compared to the entrance examination of 2014. The difficulty level of Biology was easy; the difficulty level of physics was tough and that of chemistry was moderate. The candidates should prepare properly for the exam as the competition is rising every year.

MP DMAT 2016 is not a very difficult examination to crack if a student prepares thoroughly for this exam. Mentioned below are some useful tips that can help you clear this exam:-
