MP DMAT 2016 Counselling

The first round of seat allotment for MP DMAT (Madhya Pradesh Dental/Medical Association Test 2016) exam will begin from September 9, 2016. The results for the same will be declared on September 11, 2016. Once the first round is completed, the second round of seat allotment will begin on September 22, 2016. Last Date up to which students can be admitted against vacancies arising due to any Reason is September 30, 2016.

MP DMAT (Under Graduate Dental and Medical Admission Test) is conducted by the APDMC (Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges) in Madhya Pradesh. The MP DMAT 2016 is a national level exam for admissions into medical, dental, physiotherapy, nursing and other allied paramedical courses offered by various private colleges of Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the most sought after medical exams by Indian students for private colleges.

On the basis of the marks/scores obtained by the candidates in the MP DMAT 2016 examination, a merit list will be prepared and accordingly counselling procedure will be scheduled. All the leading newspapers of the state will be abided to publish the detailed counselling programme. Also, the details regarding the counselling programme will be published on the official website.

Documents Required for Counselling

The documents that will be required to be submitted by the candidates are as under:

  • Demand Drafts in favour of APDMC payable at Bhopal, of Rs. 2,50,000 (for MBBS), Rs. 1,25,000 (for BDS) and Rs. 10,000 (for BPT) for Tuition Fees.
  • The Score Card of MP DMAT 2016
  • Photocopy of Application Form
  • ID Proof
  • Cash of Rs. 10,000 as Counselling Fee
  • GAP certificate (if applicable)

NOTE: If candidates are unable to submit the DD at the time of counselling, then they will have to submit it in the DMAT office within 3 days of the counselling date.

MP DMAT 2016 Counselling

Some points to be referred in this regard are:

  • Allotment of seats will be made via open counselling on the premises itself, based on individual appearances.
  • Based on merit, if any candidate is not able to join through the first counselling procedure, he/she will be eligible for the second round of counselling.
  • Candidates need to produce their original documents for the admission; otherwise they would not be eligible for the same.
  • Candidates need to wait for their turn as per the order given in the merit list. Small groups will be formed and the documents of the candidates will be verified. If everything is in order, the candidates will be proceeded for further counselling procedure.
  • Candidates will then have to choose the course of their choice which will be final and the same will be allotted to them on the spot with the allotment letter.
  • If a candidate is unable to present himself/herself at the time of document verification, then he/she will be considered only at the stage where the counselling is in progress, irrespective of his/her ranking in the merit list.
  • If some candidates could not present themselves during the first counselling, they will be allowed in the second round only if seats are available.
  • Admission will be final only when the candidates submit their documents in original and pay all the balance course fees through the demand draft.
  • Original certificates and documents will be returned to the candidates only upon the completion of internship.

Open Counselling For Allotment Of Seats

The allotment of seats to the candidates shall be made through the process of Open Counselling that will be based on the personal appearances.

There will be a Counselling Committee which will consist of:

  • All members of Admission Committee or any one as per the decision of Admission Committee.
  • Nominee of AFRC.
  • All the Deans/Director of Medical/Dental Colleges and nominated members of APDMC.
  • Controller of DMAT Examinations.

If any eligible candidate is unable to attend the 1st session of counselling, he/she will be allowed to attend the 2nd session as per the available seats.

The counselling programme will be published in the leading Newspapers of the State. Also, the programme will be available on the official website of the Association, as separate call letters will not be sent to the eligible candidates.

Know About MP DMAT Eligibility

Candidates will have to travel for the counselling at their own cost.

Also, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the area specified for counselling without showing their MP DMAT 2016 Examination Rank Card.

Canvassing directly or indirectly for seeking allotment of seat, would disqualify the candidate from the admission process. Also, influencing the staff by unfair means will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat to the candidate and such candidate will not be allowed to further appear for subsequent MP DMAT 2016 examinations.

A candidate, who is selected for any MBBS/BDS/BPT/B.Sc. Nursing and Other Allied Paramedical courses on the basis of merit, will not be allowed to change colleges on mutual basis.

The selection done by the Admission Committee as per procedure will be final and binding on the candidate.

Documents To Be Submitted At The Time Of Admission At Respective College

These documents are as follows:

  • Original marksheet of the qualifying examination.
  • Migration certificate (except MP Board Bhopal) from the University and Board.
  • Letter of allotment issued by the Admission Committee/MP DMAT 2016 Counselling Committee.
  • Six recent passport size photographs.
  • Statement of marks obtained in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • Rank Card obtained in MP DMAT 2016.
  • Transfer Certificate/School leaving certificate from last institution attended.
  • Passing certificate of High School or equivalent examination (age proof).
  • GAP certificate (if any).
  • Medical Fitness certificate.
  • Declaration form.
  • Remaining Tuition fee, caution money and other college fees.
  • Bond/Bank Guarantee, if required by the concerned college.

Mode Of Selection

On the basis of the marks scored by candidates in the MP DMAT 2016, a merit list will be prepared depending upon the number of (APDMC Quota) sanctioned seats. Remaining candidates will be kept in the waiting list.

In a case where candidates have secured equal marks, the merit order will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in the individual subjects arranged in order of their importance as follows:

  • Zoology
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

And, thereafter, the person elder in age will be given preference.

Disqualification For Admission

  • If any candidate is found obstructing the admission process or creating nuisance, the candidate will out rightly be disqualified from further admission process.
  • The decision taken by the college authorities, in this regard, shall be final and binding upon the candidate.
  • Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rules stated above, a candidate who had been allotted a seat in previous years and who vacates/abandons it after availing the said seat, has completed the said period of course which would result into lapse of the said seat, will not be eligible for admission, unless he/she produces a No Objection Certificate from the college whose seat has been lapsed.
