MICAT 2018 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
MICAT 2018 Exam Pattern consists of two papers. MICAT 2018 is conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test). Paper 1 contains 4 descriptive type questions and Paper 2 contains 90 objective types of questions.
There are total 94 questions asked in the MICAT exam. The candidates will be given 2 hours 5 minutes to complete the exam. The total marks are not disclosed by the competent authority. The candidates have to complete their paper in given period of time. MICAT 2018 exam will be conducted in English Language. There is no negative marking in Paper 1 and Part I of Paper 2. 25% marks will be deducted in case of wrong answer in Part II and PART III of Paper 2.

It is very essential for an applicant to know the MICAT 2018 Exam Pattern as it helps him or her to know the type/number of questions, marking scheme, duration of the exam and syllabus of entrance exam.
MICAT 2018 will be held in online mode (Computer Based Test) only. The exam will be held to test the following abilities of the candidates:
The candidates will be given 2 hours 5 minutes (125 minutes) to complete the test. It is mandatory for the applicants to complete the exam in given period of time as no extra time will be allotted in any situation. The duration of Paper 1 of MICAT 2018 is 35 minutes and Paper 2 is 90 minutes.
MICAT 2018 comprises of 2 papers- Paper I and Paper II. Paper I contains Descriptive type of questions and Paper II contains Multiple Choice Questions. Paper II is further divided into 3 sections Psychometric Test (Part I), Reasoning and Verbal Ability (Part II) and General Knowledge (Part III).

The competent authority has not announced the total marks of the exam. There is no negative marking in Paper 1 and Part 1 of Paper 2. But if a candidate marks wrong answer in Part 2 and Part 3 section of Paper 1, then 1/4th marks will be deducted.
MICAT Paper 1 contains 4 descriptive types of questions based on Argument writing, Story writing and Essay Writing Skills. The candidates will be given only 35 minutes to attempt this paper. There is no negative marking in this section. Therefore, candidates must attempt all the questions to score good marks.
