MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Application Form,Eligibility and Exam Dates
MHT CET 2017 is scheduled in offline mode on May 11, 2017. The application form will be available from March 01 till March 22, 2017 (tentatively) on the official website.The application fee is Rs 800/- for General Category and Rs 600/- for Reserved Category.
As per the latest notification released by DTE Maharashtra, B.Tech Admissions will be carried out on the basis of JEE Main score. So, interested candidates have to apply for JEE Main. The application process has already started and the last date is January 16, 2017.

MHT CET exam comprises 3 papers conducted on the same day namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 100 questions are asked from both Physics & Chemistry whereas 50 questions from Mathematic section. All 3 papers will be conducted in different time slots on the same day.
DTE Maharashtra every year conducts MH CET exam for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy and allied health science courses after class XII. Over 1700 colleges provide admissions through MHT CET. The Result for MHT CET 2017 will be declared in the month of June 2017. Post declaration of MHT CET result, CAP (Centralized Admission Process) will begin in the month August on the basis of MHT CET Cutoff.
Till 2015 DTE Maharashtra conducted the exam for Engineering, Medical and Dental courses. However, In 2016 as per the Supreme Court ordinance all the state level exams are replaced by one common entrance test – NEET.

MH CET/MHT CET 2017Eligibility
The basic eligibility for MHT CET is that you should be class 12th pass. However, the eligibility criteria varies for different courses as mentioned below :-
For Engineering Courses
- Applicant must be an Indian National.
- Candidate should have passed the HSC examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics, Mathematics, English and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
- Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks, in the case of Backward class categories and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject added together.
For Pharmacy Courses:- Applicant should have completed class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology /Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject. For open category, the minimum percentage criteria is 45% and for reserved category, it is 40% .There is no age limit applicable for this course.
For Allied Health Science Courses:- Candidates should be class 12th pass Physics, chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects. He/She should be medically fit. Candidate should be born on or after December, 2000.
MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Application form
The application process will begin on March 1, 2017 and you can apply till March 22, 2017. Application Mode will be online. However, you can remit application fee online or offline (through challan) both. Last Date of fee payment is March 28, 2017. The application process will be accomplished in following steps:-

Specification for Uploading Photograph:
Photo must be recent and colored passport size. It should be taken against a light white background photograph should be without goggles or cap. Spectacles are allowed.File format should be in .JPEG and should be maximum 50 KB in size. For reducing size of the photograph you can use MS Paint or any other photo editor.
Specification for Uploading Signature:- Signature should be on white paper with black ink pen.Scan the image in 200 dpi (dots per inch) resolution setting. The size of the scan sign file should be maximum 50 KB.File format should be in .JPEG
MHT CET 2017 Application Fee

MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Exam Pattern
There will be 3 papers in the exam. Paper I will consist of 50 MCQs each from Physic and Chemistry. Paper II consists 50 questions on Biology and Zoology. There will be 50 questions from Mathematics in Paper II. All the three papers will be set from the Class 12th Syllabus of HSC Board of Maharashtra. Candidates are therefore advised to go through the syllabus of HSC examination recommended by HSC Board of Maharashtra for all the subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, biology and Mathematics.
Main Highlights of Exam Pattern
- Objective type questions in Paper I and Paper II will be of 1 mark each.
- The questions in Paper III will carry 2 marks each. A candidate can attempt a maximum of 200 questions for Health sciences and 150 questions for Engineering degree courses while those applying for Pharmacy degree courses can attempt either 150, 200 or 250 questions depending on which paper and how many papers they are appearing for. One mark will be awarded to the examinees for each correct response.
- There is no provision for negative marking in MHT CET 2017 so candidates will have the option of making thoughtful guesses.
- All the 3 papers are of 1 Hour and 30 Minutes duration each. Candidates appearing for Paper I and Paper II will have to answer 100 MCQs in 90 Minutes which is even less than a minute per question. Those appearing for Paper III will have to answer 50 questions in 90 Minutes.
- Paper I (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper II (Biology) would be conducted in English, Marathi and Urdu while Paper III (Mathematics) would be conducted in English only.
MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Syllabus and Important Books
Aspirants interested in all Pharmacy and Engineering have to give all the three papers.
Paper 1: consists of Physics & Chemistry questions and this Paper is compulsory for all the aspirants. There are 100 questions in total and each question carries 1 mark. Each paper has a time allotted of 90 minutes.
Paper 2: is Biology which has two sections- zoology and botany. This paper consists of 100 questions, 50 from zoology and 50 from botany and each question carries of 1 mark. This paper can be given by Pharmacy and Health Science aspirants.
Paper 3: is mathematics and can be given by Engineering and Pharmacy Aspirants. It consists of 50 questions and they are of 2 marks each.

MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Results
MHT CET Results will be announced on June 01, 2017 on the official website. The Result of MHT CET consists of marks obtained by the candidate in MHT CET 2017. The MHT CET 2017 Scores are valid only for the current academic session. MHT CET 2017 Provisional Answer key will be made available for candidates to download soon.
Candidates can check the previous year cut offs and expected MHT CET 2017 Cut off. Marks equal to or more than the prescribed cut off should be achieved for admission to the concerned branch. MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Counselling
Qualified candidates whose names are mentioned in the Merit Lists are eligible to apply for MHT CET Counselling. The process of MHT CET 2017 Counselling for Engineering and Medical Courses will commence in June 2017. Candidates interested in MHT CET 2017 Counselling for Engineering will have to register themselves at Central Admission Process(CAP) from June 02, 2017. The first two rounds will be through CAP. The 3rd offline round will be only for Maharashtra state candidates. In the third level counselling, the reserved seats will be treated as General seats.
The DMER MH CET Counselling 2017 for the Medical stream has initiated from June 14, 2017 at MHT CET Regional Centres allotted to candidates according to their MHT CET 2017 Test Venue. The counselling is conducted by DMER. Candidates can check their MHT CET Counselling Dates at the regional centers for different categories. Candidates will be required to fill Preference form for counselling rounds to indicate the choice of colleges and courses in decreasing order of preference.
