MH CET 2017 Application Process & Registration

MH CET is organized by DTE Maharashtra for admissions in various undergraduate and post graduate courses in Maharashtra. Based upon the courses four different exams are conducted under MH CET- MHT for B.E/B.Tech/B.Pharm/Pharm.D, MAHCET for MBA, MH CET  law for LLB and LLM and MAH MCA CET for MCA.

The application process of MHT CET is ongoing. Candidates can apply online on DTE Maharashtra official website. The last date to apply for MHT CET is March 23, 2017. MAH CET application process is closed now. It began on January 21, 2017. 

Candidates can check below step wise application process for MH CET 2017. The application process is entirely online and includes following steps:-

MH-CET

In case of MH CET exams (all 3), you can use edit and back buttons to change details on the form. Application can also be made to the DTE once the form has been submitted. Data cannot be changed once the form has been saved. No change can be made once name and mobile number have been entered for either of these 2 categories. Please note that the competent authority of the MH CET Mumbai has to be approached in the event of any corrections if the form has already been submitted. The letter for the same should be accompanied by SSC mark sheet and submitted before result declaration

Important Instructions

  • Hall ticket must be produced at time of exam
  • Providing/uploading false information is fraud; student can be criminally prosecuted for this
  • Students should not disclose or share password with anyone
  • During application, IP address will be captured for security reasons
  • Access through retrieving account password if you forget
  • Students must carry the following on the day of the exam: admit card, application form, challan printout and valid Photo ID proof.

MHT CET is for entry into the following courses: MBBS, BAMS, BHAMS, BUMS, BDS, BASLP, BOTh, BPTh, BP and O, B.Sc Nursing, BVSc, Animal Husbandry and B.Pharm

MHT CET will replace Joint Entrance Exam (Main) for admission to engineering colleges. Maharashtra has 30 medical colleges. 18 are public while the remaining are private institutions. There are also public and private institutions of engineering in the state. Both sets of institutions admit students based on MHT CET scores.  MHT CET will be conducted on May 11, 2017. Application has to be made online between March 1 & 22, 2017. Results are declared in June and the merit list is released on the June 14, 2017.

MHT CET Application Process

Application must be made online and is from March 1 & 22, 2017. It involves payment of application fee through bank challan issued by the State Bank of India. The online application process is relatively simple.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria

Students have to be Indian nationals who have scored at least 50% (General Category)/ 45% (Disabled Category) or 40% (Reserved/Persons with Disability Category) in their 12th exams/or are appearing for the exams. Students should also check as certain subjects are required for entry into each of the disciplines:

  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology: Medical Students
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics: Pharmacy Students
  • Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics: Engineering students

Age

  • For Health Sciences: Born on or before 31st December 1999 except for Ayurveda and Unani courses (Date of Birth should be on or before 1st October 1999)
  • For Pharmacy and Engineering- No age criteria

Nationality

Students from these categories can apply:

  • Indian National
  • Person of Indian Origin
  • Overseas Citizens of India

Note- NRI candidates are not allowed to appear for the examination.

Education

Must have qualified in HSC/equivalent examination (Std.12th) the following subjects:

  • Health Sciences: English, Chemistry, Biology and Physics
  • Pharmacy: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology
  • Engineering- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Marks Needed

  • MBBS/BDS/BAMS or BUMS- Open Category: At least 50%(150/300) marks in Physics, Biology and Chemistry taken together at HSC or equivalent level

Reserved category and those with PWD/reserved category persons with disabilities: At least 40%(120/3000) marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry at HSC/equivalent exam

Persons with Disability in General Category: At least 45% marks in Physics, Biology and Chemistry

  • BPTh, BOTh and BHMS- Applicants must have passed HSC/equivalent exam with following subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • BASLP- Students must have appeared and passed in HSC examination with Physics Chemistry Biology and/or Mathematics/Computer Science.
  • BSc Nursing- Open category students: At least 45% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken at HSC/equal level. Reserved category: Minimum of 40% in Physics, Biology and Chemistry with English at HSC/equivalent level.
  • BP & O- Applicant should have passed HSC/equivalent exam in Physics. Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics.

NOTE- Applicants appearing for the exam can also appear for the MHT CET. Candidate must have cleared 10th standard or equivalent exam from school in Maharashtra and should be medically fit.

Application Fee

  • Application fee has to be paid through a bank challan.
  • Candidate should ensure journal number and deposit date is entered and after 48 hours, candidates can pay application fee in SBI.
  • Fee should be deposited on 2nd working day.

General Category (Open category, OMS or outside Maharashtra state, J&K Migrant candidates and Foreign Nationals (OCI/PIO) or Children of Indian workers in Gulf nations): INR 1000. Reserved Category (SC, ST, VJ, DT, NTA, NTB, NTC, NTD, OBC and SBC) as well as persons with disabilities/PWD from Maharashtra: INR 800. Bank commission is around INR 60.

  • Application form processing fee can be paid at Axis Bank branch through e-challan
  • Online payments can also be made

Exam Pattern and Results

  • Exam pattern is straightforward and simple, with 1 mark for every 50 questions in physics, chemistry and biology papers and 2 marks per 50 questions for the mathematics papers.
  • No negative marking is done.
  • Results will be available on June 1, 2017.

Paper 1- This comprises Physics and Chemistry. For each, the total number of questions is 50, while 1 mark is given for every correct answer and the total marks are 50.

Paper 2- This includes Botany and Zoology under Biology where 50 questions are asked for 1 mark each and the total marks given are 50

Paper 3- This is the Mathematics paper which must be answered by those appearing for engineering and includes 2 mark questions numbering 50. Total marks are therefore 100.

Rules for Each of the Papers

  • This is a pen and paper test
  • There is no negative marking for wrong answers
  • Mathematics paper is in English only, while the remaining papers are also in Marathi and Urdu medium
  • Each paper is for 1.5 hours in total duration.

Syllabus is the same as the 12th and 11thclass of the Maharashtra State Board.

Application Registration and Process: MHT CET 2017

Step 1: Registration:

Go to the official link and submit the information in registration form after reading the instructions. Click on “Apply Now” link to fill with the following details during the application process: Personal details, Contact details, Reservation, Exam, Password and Other Details. Once the recent colored passport size photograph and signature is uploaded, a registration ID will be allocated to students. Candidate has to register for this test at http://mhtcet2017.co.in only following which he or she can pay application fee at SBI branches.

Step 2: Filling the Form and Completing the Registration

  • Once registration is complete, email ID mobile number and password should be filled.
  • Educational and other details have to also be filled.

Step 3: Fee Payment

Once registration is completed, and form is filled, fee has to be paid. It is INR 800 for Open Category students and INR 600 for Reserved Category students. Fee has to be paid through bank challan 48 hours after filling application form.  

Step 4: Submission of Details

  • 24 hours after payment has been made, students need to login and enter the bank transaction ID and date of making payment.  Bank challan should be generated and printed before this
  • It should mention payment, journal number, bank transactions ID, branch name and code.

MHT CET Challan Generation

Here are the steps for challan generation
Step 1: Print Bank challan on A4 size paper after generating it

Step 2: Visit SBI and hand over the challan

Step 3: On printed bank challan receipt, following details are added once applicant makes payment-

  • Name of branch
  • Code of branch
  • Date of payment
  • Journal number
  • Bank transaction ID
  • Payment date

Step 4: While the bank (SBI) will keep its copy, it will also hand over a copy to the applicant. Download and print the MHTCET confirmation after filling in the challan details in the registration page.

Required Documents

Details to be filled

This includes personal and contact information. Personal information are

  • first name of the candidate (as per std. 10th certificate)
  • father’s/husband’s first name
  • candidate’s last name
  • Mother’s first name
  • Gender and date of birth
  • Contact Information- Domicile, nationality, permanent residence, email ID, mobile number and address for correspondence
  • Educational Details- Std 10th (SSC/non SSC and total marks obtained), Std 12th (HSC/Non HSC, name and address of institute) and Place of examination center
  • Details required also include subjects, question paper language and 8-15 character password containing at least one upper case, lower case and numeric

Steps to upload photo and signatures

  • Candidate should upload the photograph and signature in prescribed format.
  • Passport sized clear photograph scanned up to 50 kb must be uploaded. It should be a digital photograph taken against a light or white background and student’s face should be clearly visible.
  • Students should sign on white paper with black ball point pen and scan at 200 dot per inch. File size should be less than 50 kb in jpeg format.

Instructions for uploading signature and photos

  • Signature must not be in capital letters.
  • To reduce file size, the image of the passport size photo should be cropped using MS Paint/another photo editor
  • Only full face portion should be cropped; not entire photograph
  • For the signature, A4 size sheet on which it is made must not be cropped.
  • Sign.JPEG and Photo.JPEG should be the file names for the scanned signature and photograph

How to Crop File?

  • Digital or scanned photos and signs should be opened in MS Paint
  • Pressing Ctrl +W ensures a window will open with the option to resize by percent. You can enter any value between 10-50% and save the file as extension jpeg
  • Check file size in properties
  • Repeat process till file size is less than 50 KB

Process of Admit Card Issue

Once application form is submitted successfully then admit card is available online to download. It will be accessed only by those students who have filled application form correctly on time. The admit card/hall ticket contains the following details: Details of candidate, Venue/location of examination center, Test timings, Test instructions and Roll number. Admit card is available at www.mhtcet2017.co.in This card enables the candidate to appear for the examination. Admit card will be given through the board’s official website. 

How to Download Admit Card

  • Once the application is made, go to the official website on the date when the admit card is released
  • Click on link to download card and click on login button
  • Enter registration number and password after which admit card will appear on screen
  • Take printouts of admit card after downloading it

Exam Centre

For candidates in Maharashtra, the exam center is the same district as the HSC exam was held. District HQs are where the exams are held. For candidates outside Maharashtra, test centers are allocated. MHT CET 2017 will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2017 in the following cities:

The result is released by the Cell whereby set wise papers appear online for students to crosscheck the answers and calculate the scores.

Q1. When does online registration for the exam start?

Ans. Online registration for MHT CET commences from March 1 to 22, 2017. The schedule available at www.dmer.org can be accessed.

Q2. Do students have to visit any CET office for online registration?

Ans. Online registration can be done from any convenient place using internet; no documents are required and neither are candidates expected to report to CET offices.

Q3. Are all details must be filled online?

MAH MBA/MMS CET

DTE conducts the MAH MBA CET for admission to management colleges in Maharashtra. MAH CET will be conducted on March 12 & 13, 2017. This course is for admission to two year full time PG course in Business Administration /MBA and Master of Management Studies/MMS. The categories of institutions which accept this test score are:

  • Government Management Institutes
  • University Departments
  • University Managed Management Institutes
  • Unaided management institutes

MAH MBA/MMS CET Admission Process

  • Admission to the courses namely MBA/MMMS/ PGDM/PGDBM are covered under CAP
  • Centralized Admission Process carried out by State of Maharashtra. 
  • CAP comprises three rounds of which first 2 rounds are linked to computerized allotment
  • Third round is through counselling.

Eligibility for MAH MBA/MMS CET

  • Passed with at least 50% marks in aggregate* or equal CGPA (45% in the context of backward class categories and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State alone) in any graduate course. Awarded Bachelor’s degree by Universities incorporated under central/state legislature or declared University under UGC Act 1956 for at least three years duration. The discipline in which the student has qualified must be recognized by Association of Indian Universities/Ministry of HRD, GoI/Government of Maharashtra.
  • Students appearing in the Bachelor’s degree exam in the third year are also eligible to apply. Aggregate marks are the total marks by students on subjects where declaration is made in the University. Students with CGPA will have to convert this into marks based on process explained by University or institution. Percentage of marks is assessed by rounding off last two digits after decimal point. Students appearing for the following exams are eligible to apply for admission to MBA and MMS Seats: GMAT, XAT and CMAT.

Exam Pattern

This CET exam should be conducted online in multiple sessions if needed. Multiple choice objective two questions with 5 answer choices will be given. 200 questions have to be answered in 150 minutes. There is no negative marking. Areas tested include:

  • Verbal Ability/RC
  • QA
  • Abstract/Logical Reasoning

Application Registration MAH MBA/MMS CET

The application registration for MAH MBA/MMS CET is only online. Offline submissions of form will not be accepted by the DTE Office. Aspiring candidates should register and confirm online application form at http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2017

Centralized Admission Process has 4 rounds- First three rounds shall be based on computerized allotment and last round by counselling. Candidates should read the Annexure-I of the Information Brochure to understand the eligibility criteria. Apply online at http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2017 or www.sssamiti.org

Application Process

Step 1: Fill in Registration Details and generate Registration Number and Password

  • Go to DTE website and click on Apply Online
  • Register application by choosing tab “Click here for new Registration”
  • Enter name contact details and email
  • Provisional registration number and password will generate
  • Email/SMS of this will also be sent
  • After this application ID will be generated and application will be then completed

Step 2: Photo and Signature must be uploaded

  • Scanned image of photograph should be 200 dpi and between 20-50 kb
  • Size of signature image is 10-20 kb
  • Applicant has to sign with black pen and signature should be 140X60 pixels
  • Photo should be 200X230 pixels
  • Once details are filled, they cannot be changed.

Step 3: Application Fee

Pay through one of the following- Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS and Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallet.

E-receipt will be generated only if fee is successfully paid.

MAH MBA/MMS CET Application Fees

General Category (Candidates from Maharashtra, OMS (Outside Maharashtra State), J&K migrants and PIO/OCI/Foreign Nationals//Children of Indian workers in Gulf Nations): INR 1000. Reserved Category (SC/ ST/ VJ/ DT/ NTA, NTB, NTC, NTD, OBC and SBC as well as PWD candidates hailing from Maharashtra): INR 800

Step 4: Admit Card

Admit cards can be downloaded at dtemaharashtra.gov.in as per the schedule date. Email/SMS will have relevant link, student can access the window for Hall Ticket download using:

  • Registration Number/Roll Number
  • Password/DOB for downloading the Hall Ticket

Hall Ticket should accompany photo ID proof while seeking to apply for test.

Step 5: Downloading the Admit Card

  • Go to official website
  • Enter registration number/password
  • Download the Admit Card
  • Take print out of card

Exam Centre

This exam is to be conducted in select cities of Maharashtra as well as OMS. Cities where this CET will be conducted are Centers with each having many Venues

  • MAH-MBA/MMS CET will be conducted in selected cities in Maharashtra as well as outside. Each center will have venue depending upon number of candidates.
  • Exams will be conducted at venue in respective hall ticket
  • Competent authority reserves the right to allot certain center to candidates
  • No change in exam center is allowed following application
  • In the event that there is a lack of sufficient candidates at a particular center/venue, authorities reserve the right to cancel the test here

MAH MCA CET

DTE also conducts the MAH MCA CET exam for admission to first year or direct second year of MCA (Master of Computer Applications). Registration for the exam is on till 10th March 10, 2017. MAH MCA CET will be held online on March 27, 2017. Visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/MCA2017 to know more. MAH MCA CET is for entry into these categories of 3 year MCA courses in Maharashtra into:

  • Government aided

This is a state level MCA entrance exam conducted by DTE. Applications can be filled from 1st week of February 2017.

Eligibility

  • Age- 21-25 years
  • Education- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent from recognized university
  • Marks- At least 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent CGPA for open category (45% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC applicants) from a recognized university
  • Must have studied Math in 12th or graduation
  • Final year graduates can also apply for exam examination.

Exam Pattern

100 multiple choice objective type questions, 50 for Computer subject and 50 for General Aptitude paper. Test time is 90 minutes. The medium of paper is English language only. The correct marked answer will fetch you 4 marks and will deduct 1 mark for every wrong answer marked.

Eligibility for MAH MCA CET

  • Candidates in open category must have 50% in aggregate or CGPA (45% in case of persons with disability from Maharashtra state and candidates of reserved category) in any bachelor’s degree of 3 years duration. Candidates appearing for the Bachelor’s level exams can also apply.
  • Student must be between 21-25 years old

Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration in any recognized discipline. Student should also have a minimum of 45% in aggregate. He/she should have studied Mathematics or Statistics as a subject at 10+2/higher level.

OR

Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration in any discipline and passed the post graduate degree course of a minimum of 2 years recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with minimum 45% aggregate marks and studied Mathematics or Stats at 10+2 or higher level examination. Candidates belonging to Maharashtra state from SC/ST community must have a minimum aggregate of at least 40%. Candidates appearing in final year of Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree of 3/2 years respectively are also eligible for this test on evidence of passing qualifying exam during admission.

Application Registration MAH MCA CET

Application Procedure

Application form has to be completed online at DTE website. There is a dedicated OAS or Online Application System and students have to fill in details such as name, mobile number, and educational qualifications. Same procedure for photo and signature as MHT CET 2017 is required. E-challan or online payment can be made for the exam.

Application form processing fee is INR 1000 for Maharashtra State Open category as well as OMS and NRI. It is INR 800 for students from reserved category and/or disabled belonging to Maharashtra State.

MAH MCA CET Application Fee

Category wise break up of fees is as follows:

  • Maharashtra State Candidates (PWD): INR 550
  • Maharashtra State Candidates (Reserved Category including SC/ST/JDT/NTA/NTB/NTC/NTD/OBC/SBC): INR 550
  • Maharashtra State Candidates (Open category)- INR 750
  • Outside Maharashtra State Candidates- INR 750
  • Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidates- INR 750
  • PIO/Children of Indian workers in Gulf nations- INR 750
  • Foreign National/Foreign Student/NRI Indians: INR 750

Note- Additional processing charges are as follows:

  • Credit Card: 1.80% of exam fee along with applicable service tax
  • Debit Card: 1.80% of the exam fee plus applicable service tax
  • Internet Banking 1.80% of the examination fee plus service tax as applicable
  • e-Challan- No extra charges
  • Candidates should note application fee will not be fully or partially refunded for any reason. 

MAH MHT CET Reservation

Reservation

Students belonging to the following categories can obtain reservation: SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ SBC/ OBC.

Other Relevant Details

  • This includes religion, total family income (1 lakh, 1-6 lakh, above 6 lakh).
  • Also mention if you have passed SSC with Urdu/Arabic or Persian. 
  • Other reservation categories include defence/MKB /PWD /HA or ward of employee of Maharashtra state government/central government institutions and migrants from J&K or Goa

MAH MBA/MMS/MCA CET Reservation

Caste Based Reservation

Those belonging to reserved category must submit Caste Validity Certificate issued by Social Welfare Department, Scrutiny Committee.

This includes candidates belonging to SC, VJ/ DT, NTA, NTB, NTC, NTD OBC and SBC.

Tribal Reservation

Those belonging to ST community should submit Tribal Validity Certificate issued by Tribal Department’s Scrutiny Committee and a valid non creamy layer certificate.

Application Status Check

Application status for all three exams can be checked online once the details have been filled and the payment has been made. While payment for MHT CET is offline only (SBI challan), payment for the MBA/MMS Common Entrance Test can be made through offline (Axis Bank Challan) and online (internet banking/credit/debit card/money transfer). Payment for Maharashtra MCA Test can be made online only, through internet banking, fund transfer, credit or debit card etc.
