MH CET LAW 2017 Exam Pattern

Maharashtra State Common Law Entrance Test 2017 or MH CET 2017 is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate Law courses. MH CET LAW Exam will be held on May 20, 2017 for 5-year integrated and May 21, 2017 for 3-year program LLB programmes. MH CET LAW 2017 Exam held for 5-year Integrated and 3 year LLB programme comprises of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying 1 mark.

There is no negative marking in the MH CET LAW 2017 Exam. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours. The questions will be asked in both English and Marathi Language.  The candidates have to complete their exam on time as no extra time will be given in any situation.


MH CET LAW 2017 5-year LLB Program Exam Pattern

MH CET LAW 2017 Exam held for 5-year Integrated LLB programme comprises of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying 1 mark. The exam is divided into 5 sections such as Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English and Basic Mathematics.  

There is no negative marking and candidates are given 2 hours to complete the paper. The section-wise distribution of marks and questions in the MH CET Law 2017 is explained below in the given table:

MH CET LAW 2017 3-year LLB Program Exam Pattern

MH CET LAW 2017 Exam held for 3-year LLB programme contains 150 MCQs. Each question carries 1 mark. The exam is divided into 4 sections such as Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning and English.

There is no negative marking. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt all the questions in 2 hours. The section-wise distribution of marks and questions in the exam is explained below in the given table:

Mode and Language of MH CET LAW 2017

MH CET LAW 2017 Exam will be conducted in English and Marathi language. A candidate can choose to give the exam in any one of the languages of his or her choice. The exam will be conducted in online mode.

The test paper will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will have only one correct answer. A candidate has to click on the option which he or she feels is correct. The option that is selected by the candidate will be considered as the answer to that question. The candidates have the choice to click on “Save and Next”, “Mark for review” and “Next” button to submit an answer for final evaluation.

The change of option will be updated in the final answer sheet. Once you have selected the correct answer then you need to click on the answer. Once you click on the answer it is marked but will be considered final when you click on “Save and Next” or “Mark for Review and Next”.

A clock has been set on the server at the top right corner of the screen that will show a candidate the time left for him or her to complete the exam. Once the time is over, the exam will be submitted by default. A candidate has to finish his or her paper on time as no extra time will be provided in any situation.

The question palette on the right of the screen will have one of the following statuses of each of the question number:     

The Marked review status implies that a candidate has to look at the question again. A question marked for review will be considered for evaluation.

To select an answer to the question, you can do one of the following

  1. Click on the question number in the question palette and this will take a candidate to that question number directly. The answer to the current question will not be saved if he or she moves to the next question using the question palette.
  2. A candidate has to click on “Save & Next” to save the answer of the current question and to move to the next question.
  • A candidate has to click on “Mark for Review and Next” to save answer to the current question and mark it for review. The answer to the question marked for review will be considered for the final evaluation.
  • To select the answer you need to click on one of the option buttons.
  • If a candidate wants to change the answer, then just click on the other desired option.
  • In order, to save an answer a candidate needs to click on “Save and Next”.
  • To deselect a chosen answer, an applicant has to click on Clear Response button.
  • To change the answer of a question a candidate needs to select the question first and click on the new answer option. Then, click on “Save and Next” to save the new answer.
  • The questions that are saved and marked for review will be considered for the final evaluation.
  • A candidate will be taken automatically to the first question of the test once he or she clicks on the “Save and Next” button of the last question in the test paper.
  • A candidate can switch between the tests and questions according to the requirement.
  • The instructions given by the test administrator must be followed by the applicants at all times. In case, an applicant does not follow the instructions given by the administrator, it will be treated as a case of misconduct and his or her candidature can be cancelled.
  • All the doubts about the test can be asked only before the commencement of the test. After the beginning of the exam, no query will be entertained.
  • Students will not be given any extra time to complete the paper after 2 hours’ time duration is over. The answers will be submitted automatically after the time is over.
