MAT 2017 Result

MAT 2017 Results for February session has declared on February 23, 2017 on the official website of AIMA. The candidates can check their results by providing their roll no. and Form no. The candidates can download their MAT scorecards for future reference. After the declaration of results of MAT exam, the institutes which accept MAT score call the shortlisted candidates for Written Ability Test followed by a group discussion round or a personal interview round.

The exam was conducted on February 5, 2017 (pen-paper mode) and February 11, 2017 (online mode). Post declaration of results, AIMA will release MAT cutoff, candidates who score minimum cutoff score will get admission in B-schools accepting MAT scores. The test is conducted four times in a year in the months of February, May, September and December. The next session of MAT exam will be conducted in the month of May 2017. 


How to Check MAT 2017 Result?

MAT 2017 Result has been announced on the official website of AIMA. Steps to check the result are as follows:

  • Go to
  • On the right hand, there is a box with “Quick Links”.
  • Click on the “MAT 2017 RESULT” tab.
  • The second screen which appears requires the candidates to login.

MAT 2016 Results

  • The candidates are required to enter their Roll No., Form No., and Month of Test.
  • Once these details are entered, the candidates are then redirected to the page where they can check their result.

Result on SMS

Candidates can also check the result through SMS service. To check the result through SMS the candidate has to send a message MATS FORM NO DOB (ddmmyy) to 54242. For example, MATS 200492 031480 to 54242. The contact number is applicable to all phone operators.

MAT 2017 Score Card

The MAT Score Card is a document issued by All India Management Association once the result is declared. It is dispatched through normal post during the last week of the month of the test. The score card is a document which has all the necessary information which determines the score of the candidate for future correspondence. The details mentioned in the score card are:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Form No.
  • Test month and year
  • Roll No.
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Degree
  • Category
  • Work experience in months
  • Scaled scores in different subjects.

The score card contains the marks of different subjects. These subjects are Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment. The MAT score is valid for one year from the month of declaration.

Duplicate Score Card

  • The candidates who did not receive their score cards can however apply for a duplicate score card. The queries for the duplicate score card will be entertained by the authorities only after the 15th of the subsequent month. The procedure for obtaining the duplicate score card is as follows:
  • The candidate has to submit an application on a plain paper requesting for a duplicate score card.
  • Photocopy of the lower half of the admit card, which was signed by the invigilator or some Govt. ID proof.
  • Self-addressing envelope having size 24cm by 12cm. the address must be written in capital letters and a postal stamp must be affixed of Rs. 40 for sending by Speed Post.

All the applications for the duplicate score card until 45 days of the declaration of the result will be entertained free of cost, any late applications will be charged with Rs. 100 in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of All India Management Association payable at Delhi.

MAT 2017 Cut off Preview

The cut-off is the minimum percentage which is released by the AIMA. The cut-off list thus issued is called the official cut-off marks and it is used for the selection of candidates. The general trend for the cut-off marks of the top B-Schools is as follows:

MAT 2017 Selection Process

The selection process varies from B-School to B-School. Usually, after the candidate has taken the entrance test, the merit list is issued by the colleges and accordingly candidates are called for the next step of admission process which involves group discussion and personal interview.

Once the candidate clears the minimum criteria of group discussion and personal interview as per the rules of the college applied to, the candidate is granted admission by the college. Some colleges also have additional selection criteria of written ability test or essay writing rounds along with the GD and PI rounds.
