NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
MAT is a National level Entrance Examination for admission in B-schools across India which is conducted 4 times in a year by AIMA. MAT scores will be accepted by 500 B-Schools throughout India. MAT December 2016 Result was officially announced by AIMA on December 23, 2016. The scores of MAT 2017 will be accepted only for the academic year 2017-19.
The scores of MAT December 2016 will be accepted in around 323 B-schools of India and according to the selection process. Shortlisted candidates will be participating in MAT Selection Procedure conducted by all participating institutes separately. They will be shortlisted either on the basis of their percentile score or their cutoff according that will vary for each management institution.

Usually the procedure followed by management institutes includes:
Group Discussion (GD)

Written Ability Test (WAT)
In majority of management institutions these days, written ability test is considered more essential than the earlier idea of group discussions. It is because the admission committee declared that it is more convenient to judge a person’s view points based on Written Ability Test than in a Group Discussion. They stated this argument as they realized that a soft spoken candidate loses their chance to score in a group discussion when the louder candidate speaks a lot about a given topic.

You need to prepare thoroughly for the exam to secure admission in a top B-school. For selection in IIT MBA, Madras, the candidate must have a valid score in the MAT exam. If they have the minimum score or percentile which will be the cut off mentioned by the institution, they will be shortlisted. It will also consider past academic performance, work experience etc.
Minimum Academic Qualifications for all the shortlisted candidates will also be taken further into notice. Graduates in any degree must have achieved first degree or 60% marks and above (55% and above for SC/ST candidates) in their degree from a reputed or recognized University. Fr=or defense personnel, the required qualifying degree is 55%. Final year students, who will be applying for MAT, will also be able to apply in this institute, and if they get selected, they will be given admissions provisionally. The only condition being, that they must meet all the requirements of the minimum percentage before the start of the exam and can submit the provisional certificate within two months of joining the program.
Later on, a personal interview will be conducted on a specific location which will be followed by group task performance and written communication.
For selection in TA PAi Management Institution, candidate must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. The students of final year, if selected, will have to submit required proof of completion of their graduation by the time they join the post graduate programme. A stipulated date will be given by which they need to submit all their mark-lists and other essential testimonials.
Scores of MAT exam, academic excellence and work experience will also be considered. Later on, after the shortlist is out, candidates will be asked for a written test or personal interview and other evaluation components involved in the admission procedure.
Then, the overall performance will be considered for the selection of the candidate.
Students who want admission in this institute must have a graduation degree with 50% marks or above from a recognized University (45% and above for SC/ST candidates). Final year students can also apply for the admission process. You should achieve the minimum score required in MAT 2016 and you will be able to get admission in the institution. Candidates do not require applying separately for this institution and the admissions will be handled by the CAP itself. Candidates with work experience will be given importance than candidates who have zero experience in the industry for the selection procedure.
Candidates with minimum aggregate of 50% marks(45% for SC/ST candidates) in their graduation from a recognized university can apply for MBA in this institution. Candidates who are in final year can apply and they must be able to complete their graduation before June 15, 2017. They need to submit proof of their passing degree before September, 2017 and they should be clearing their graduation with 50% marks only. Any other candidate who has scored less need not apply for this institution.
Candidates who will be able to get 70% in MAT entrance exam of 2017 will be eligible for admission in the MBA programme. Your academic record, performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview will also be considered. Better work experience and participation in extra-curricular activities will also be given more importance during the selection criteria.
Candidates must have a graduate degree with minimum percentage as 50% or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST candidates) in order to be eligible for the admission process. Final year students clearing the selection process will have to submit their proof of completion of graduation within 4 weeks of joining the course.
Candidates applying for MAT must submit the application form to the institute as well. Short-listed candidates will require sitting through personal interview and group discussions which will be conducted by the institution for the selection. Te final selection is going to be based on overall performance in Admission Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and consistent academic Awards.
