Abhinav Kumar scored 670 in MAT 2014 and got IIRM, Jaipur. He got call from various institutions like IILM - Gurgaon, JIMS Delhi, FIIB- Delhi, IIRM - Jaipur, BIMM – Pune and Asia pacific – Delhi. For Cracking MAT, he said that he generally solved the previous year papers of the MAT exam and after that TIME Test series to check accuracy and efficiency in the exam. For language comprehension: He generally used the previous year books of MAT papers published by Arihant publishers and also read newspapers and articles daily to learn new words and improve his vocabulary and spellings.
For intelligence and critical reasoning: He followed RS Aggarwal and used to practice daily from the previous year papers of the MAT exam published by the Arihant publishers and this helped him a lot to prepare and analyze his mistakes.
For data analysis and Sufficiency: He just solve the previous 10 year paper of MAT exams to prepare for this section.
For Mathematics: He use NCERT books and previous year papers of MAT exam. According to him these are sufficient to solve the questions of MAT after regular practice.
For Indian and Global Environment: He read news daily and read a book called India and global environment by Majid Hussain. He also considered watching news channel on regular basis will fetch a good score in this section.
He also answered the questions we have asked him in the interview. His questionnaire is as follows:
Ans. I have taken part in 4 GD\PI of different colleges in Delhi and Mumbai and finally in Jaipur. My experience first time in GD was not so good, then after I realize my mistakes and finally I was able to deliver my points according to my manner in rest of the remaining GD\PI.
Ans. My experience in the interview was good as I was able to give answers which they asked me during the interview round and I was confident at the time of interview. Some of the questions that were asked at the time of interview were the following-

Ans. Apart from MAT, I appeared in CAT but finally after not getting a very good score in CAT I choose the MAT college for my MBA.
Ans. I joined the TIME institute for the preparation of MBA. When I was in TIME I was not a very bright student but after studying there I learned a lot from both students and faculty members there. The faculty members helped me a lot in recognizing my strengths and the students were very helpful and they taught me some very good lessons which today I found very useful in my life and my studies also.
Ans. When I was doing my graduation, I was able to give 1 or 2 hours daily to my MAT preparation during weekdays but in weekends I have the time to prepare well for the MAT exam and I was able to give 3 or 4 hours during Saturdays and Sundays. And in remaining time I study my graduation subjects and finally relax for some time and again continue with the regular classes of college.

Ans. My strong areas were English and reasoning and my weak area was Maths, So most of the time i used to practice Maths questions daily and solve previous year paper of Maths and calculate my efficiency and accuracy to improve myself and apart from that I used to study English newspapers and watch English News channels to gain some more knowledge in English.

Ans. Test Funda was the website which I followed during my preparation and also I used to read articles and solve passages found in this website. This website is good for both CAT and MAT takers to prepare for the Exam.
Ans. For aspirant starting preparation two months before they should focus on improving their weaker sections and study regularly to maintain or remember the concepts well and MAT is an exam where one can fetch a good score even if he study regularly for 1 and half month.
Ans. I want to change one thing and that is my accuracy in solving the questions of CAT exam but sometimes things doesn't go as per our thinking so try not to remember the past as future is bright only if you work hard for it.
