MAT December 2016 Result, Cutoff, Selection Process
MAT 2016 December Results were declared on December 23, 2016. The candidates can check their results on the official website of AIMA by providing their registration no. and form no. After the declaration of results, AIMA will announce MAT Cutoff shortly. The candidates who score minimum cutoff scores will get admission in MAT participating colleges. MAT 2016 December was successfully conducted on December 11, 2016 in pen paper mode and December 17, 2016 in online mode. The questions ranged from easy to moderate difficulty level. There were 5sections in the paper namely Language Comprehension, Mathematical skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment. MAT 2016 Result
MAT 2016 December Result were declared on the official website of AIMA on December 23, 2016. Candidates can check their results by entering the 6 digit Registration Form no. and 9 digit roll no. The original copy of the score card will also be sent to candidates’ address. The candidates who do not recieve the score card by normal post can download the duplicate copy on the official website. Validity of MAT Score Card
MAT scores are valid only till one year to enroll in most of the management institutions covered under MAT. You can avail admission within this one year in different management courses like Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, and International Business, Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology and Management (PGDITM) in IT Marketing, E-Commerce, Information System Management etc. MAT Selection Process includes group discussion and personal interview rounds as well.
Applying For the Colleges
Candidates have to apply to MAT Participating colleges before or after the exam for which he wants to take the admission. Candidate can apply for the 5 colleges. For applying candidate has to follow the procedure:
- Visit the official website
- Click on the link for the applying in colleges
- Enter the Registration Number and DOB
- Click on submit button
- Apply for the colleges
- Cilck on save
If candidates have to apply for additional colleges then he has to fill up the form and send it to the AIMA’s address. An additional fee of Rs. 75/ college has to be paid by the candidate if they are applying before the test date else they have to pay Rs. 100/per college.
MAT December 2016 Expected Cutoff
The MAT Cutoff for December 2016 will be announced by AIMA after the declaration of MAT 2016 Results of December session. The exam in this session was similar to previous years and the questions were of moderate difficulty level. It is expected the cutoff will go high this year. No. of candidates appearing for the exam, difficulty level, Reservation norms are some of the factors that affect the MAT Cutoff. MAT 2016 Counselling
After the declaration of results, MAT 2016 Counselling will be conducted for admission to MBA and PGDM programs in MAT participating colleges. The candidates can find the counselling notification on the official website of AIMA i.e. www.aima.in. The candidates are alloted seats in the colleges they get admission to based on their scores in the exam. Registration for online counselling is important in order to participate in it on the provided date. Submission of counseling fee should also be done online. Candidates can also appy for offline counselling, in this the candidates need to report at the allocated reporting centre.
At the time of counseling, it is essential to bring all your documents like admit card, rank card, all original certificates, caste certificates if any and at least 6 passport size black and white and color photographs. Seats will be allotted to all the candidates according to the merit list.

MAT 2016 December Phase Admit Card
Candidates who have chosencomputer based test should strictly follow the date and time alloted to them and mentioned on the admit card. Each candidate must carry their admit card to the examination center as it is mandatory. Any candidate without admit card will not be allowed to write the exam. The admit card will hold the following information:
- Candidate’s name
- Roll number
- Registration number
- Category of the candidate
- Candidate’s photograph
- Course applied
- Test venue
- Date and time of the examination
- Reporting time
MAT 2016 December Phase Exam centers
The MAT 2016 Exam centers for the paper based andcomputer based Test are different. The Paper Based test for MAT 2016 will be conducted in one day and within one-time slot (10.00am-12.30 pm). For the computer-based test, in case the number of candidates are few, the test will be conducted in a single day otherwise different test date and time will be allotted. MAT 2016 Eligibility
All candidates looking to apply for MAT 2016 December Phase must check their eligibility to appear for the exam. This eligibility criteria for MAT 2016 December attempt is as follows:
- Candidate must have passed from a recognized institute or university. An institute or a university recognized under University Grants Commission.
- Candidates are eligible to apply irrespective of the subjects studied in their under-graduation. These under-graduation streams could be Medicine, Engineering, Commerce or even Political Science.
- Candidates in final year of graduation are eligible to apply for MAT 2016 on conditional basis. Admission on conditional basis means that the candidates wil be required to clear the final year exam before starting their studies in a management school. If a candidate is unable to pass the examination, the admission will be revoked.
- It is not required for candidate to have prior work-experience. However, information about work experience may be asked during the application.
- There is no limit on the age.

MAT 2016 December Registration
MAT Registration for December Phase stays similar to that of the previous sessions of MAT. The candidates are allowed to choose 5 Management Institutes to which the candidates want to send their MAT Scores. If the candidates wish to select more than five institutes then they have to fill an additional application form. MAT Application Formsare available on official webiste of AIMA, Correct details should be filled in the form to avoid rejection.
They also have to pay an additional fee of INR 75 per institute, if filled before MAT exam and INR 100 per institute if filled after the exam date. The payment has to be done through Demand Draft (DD) in favor of “All India Management Association” payable at New Delhi. Candidate must write his/her Name & MAT Form No. on the back side of DD. All additional scores will be sent to Institutes by Speed Post/Courier. The registration process is online as well as offline.
