MAH CET 2017 Exam Pattern- MAH CET 2017 is an online exam which is scheduled in multiple sessions on March 04, 2017 and March 05, 2017. The questions asked in MAH MBA CET are objective type in nature. The salient features of MAH CET Exam Pattern are given below:

  • The duration of MAH CET 2017 is 2 hours 30 minutes with 200 MCQ
  • The test window of MAH CET is a 2-day window divided into multiple sessions
  • The total weighatge of MAH CET Exam is 200. Thus, each question carries 1 mark
  • There is no negatiive marking in MAH CET 2017.
  • There are four sections- Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability and Comprehension

MAHCET 2017 Exam Pattern

DTE MBA is an online exam organized by DTE, Maharashtra at various MAH CET Exam Centers. It includes objective type questions to be solved in 2 hours 30 minutes. Test window would be of 2 days divided into multiple sessions.

Question Paper will be divided into 4 sections namely Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability Section. The table gives highlights of DTE MBA Exam:

Section wise Question Distribution

The paper will be divided into 4 sections namely Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. The number of questions vary for different sections. The total number of questions is 200 with total weightage of 200 marks.

Candidates have to attempt any number of questions in the prescribed limit of 150 minutes. There is no specific duration for each section. The table below gives number of questions in each section:

Important Points for DTE MBA 

DTE MBA will be conducted in online mode. For every question there will be 5 options. Candidate has to choose the right option and click on it to mark it as the choice. Note that the marked choice will only be considered as “final”only if you have submitted by “save and next “button or “mark for review & Next

Candidate can check the countdown A clock will be set at the server and you can see the countdown time at the top right corner of your screen. It will display the remaining time left to complete your exam .When the clock will be halt, your exam will be stopped automatically

On the right side of your screen there will be pallete as follow :-

The tick on mark for review option is for indicating that you have to review these answers before clicking on save & next button. Note that if your clock stops then the question you have marked for review will be considered as your final answer.

To select a question to answer you have the following options:-

  • Click on the question number on the question palette to go to that question automatically.
  • Click on “Save & Next” button to move to next question from current question
  • Click on “Mark for Review “option and move to next option.

You can deselect your chosen response by clicking on “Clear Response Option”. To change an answer go to the question, click on “new answeroption followed by save and next option.

You can shuffle between the questions at any time during the examination. After the completion of 150minutes you will not be allowed to make changes in the test.

MAHCET 2017 Score Evaluation Method

The sore of the exam will be calculated via following procedure:-

Correct score will be counted by calculating the correct answers of the candidate. The corrected score will then be normalized using a minor difficulty level constraint in any of the session of the exam. This score will be the equated Score. Score thus obtained will be equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms

The authorities will thus finally display your test wise scores and total scores upto 2 digits.

Special Guidelines for Scribe/Reader

Candidates who have vision problem or whose writing speed is affected due to any reason can use a scribe or a reader during the exam. For availing this facility you have to follow the following guidelines:-

  • The candidatehave to arrange the scribe/Reader at his own cost.
  • The scribe/Reader should not be a candidate of same examination
  • A person acting as a scribe/Reader will not be allowed to be a scribe/reader to another candidate simultaneously
  • Scribe can be of any stream
  • Both the candidate and the scribe has to provide undertakings to the official  about the authentication of the scribe.
  • Candidate who will use scribe/Reader will be given 20 minutes extra as a compensatory time for completing the exam.

For Locomotors Disability and Celebral palsy

For the candidates who suffer from locomotor disability and Celebral Palsy and the effect is more than 40% then they will get 20 minutes extra time in the form of compensatory time.

Also for visually impaired candidates facility for reader.

Syllabus Wise Analysis

As explained above the question paper will be divided into 4 sections viz logical reasoning, abstract reasoning , Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. Lets now discuss each section separately:-

Logical Reasoning- From this section 75 questions will be asked. The questions will be framed to check how quickly and efficiently you can think. Questions can be figure or statement based and will also cover the verbal Reasoning part.

Quantitative Aptitude- This part will be framed to check how fast and accurately you can calculate the numerical problems. This will judge your strength of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs and charts. There will be 25 questions from this part.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension- This section will check your knowledge about Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Completion, Synonyms & Antonyms, comprehension, passages etc. You will be judged on 2 parameters

  • Efficiency in understanding the contents of the passage
  • Choosing appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.

For every correct answer you will be given 1 mark no matter which section you are attempting. Also you can switch between the sections. There is no prescribed order of the exam. All the questions are jumbled up and within 150 minutes you can attempt any section. Every question will have 4 options. You have to choose the correct option and mark it using the mouse provided.
