MAH MCA CET (DTE MAHARASHTRA) 2017 RESULT & COUNSELLING

DTE Maharashtra has declared MAH MCA CET results March 29, 2017. Candidates can check their results on the official website. Post result declaration, authorities will published merit list online and candidates will be called for MAH MCA CET Counselling Process in the month April and May.
MAH MCA CET was conducted on March 19, 2017, in online mode to select the candidates for admission to first year/second-year lateral entry in MCA. MAH MCA CET score is accepted by Government/Self-financed/Governement affiliated and private colleges in Maharashtra.
Candidates can check their results on the official website of Maharashtra’s directorate of technical education. Steps to check your results are mentioned below.
The scorecard of MAH MCA CET 2017 would show the marks obtained by the candidate (total marks out of 200 after adjusting for negative marks) and their respective rank. This marks and rank would be considered for admission at the time of counseling. There will be two ranks displayed on the scorecard. First one will be the All India Rank and the second would be the category wise rank of the candidate. Score of the candidates in each section of the exam would also be mentioned on the scorecard. The scorecard will be dispatched to the candidate’s permanent address (mentioned at the time of application) within 15 days of the declaration of results. The scorecard will be valid only for one year. The duplicate scorecard will be issued on payment of a fee of INR 200.
Candidates would be granted admission based on their ranks in the merit list. The merit list would be prepared keeping following factors in consideration:-
The score will be displayed in terms of percentile. Three separate merit lists would be prepared based on the above-mentioned criteria. The order of preference at the time of creation of merit list would be ahigher percentage in class XII followed by a higher percentage in class X and a higher percentage in Mathematics class X.
The counseling and seat allotment would be done through centralized allotment process(CAP). There would be a total of three rounds of centralized seat allotment. First two rounds of counseling would be done for candidates falling under Maharashtra state and OMS category. First two rounds of counselling would be done through online mode where as the third and final round of counselling would be done through offline mode and would be done only for Maharashtra state candidates.
Eligible candidates would have to fill an application form in order to take part in the counselling and seat allotment process. Candidates can make an application for the counseling by logging on to the portal on the official website using their credentials. A maximum of 100 and Minimum of one option is allowed per candidate for locking of choices.
Candidates who would get a seat as per first choice in the first round of counselling would not be allowed to participate in further rounds of counselling. These candidates and candidates who are satisfied with the allotted choice would be required to complete the procedural formalities for admission by confirming the same by visiting the institutes. Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotted choice should wait for the subsequent rounds of counselling.
Candidates who are allotted the seats as per their first seven preferences (mentioned at the time of choice locking) would not be allowed to take part in further rounds of counselling. These candidates and candidates who are satisfied with the allotted choice (even if it is not as per the first seven choices mentioned at the time of choice locking) would be required to complete the procedural formalities for admission by confirming the same by visiting the institutes. Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotted choice should wait for the subsequent rounds of counseling
Seats which would remain vacant at the end of two rounds of counselling would be put for allotment in the third and final round of counselling. Candidates who belong to OMS category would not be eligible for the final round of counselling. All seats which fall under different categories are found to be vacant after the two rounds of counselling would be considered as general category seats and would be filled through the third round of counseling. Candidates getting seat allotted at the final round of counseling would be required to confirm their admission by visiting the college to complete procedural formalities.
