MAH BHMCT CET 2018

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Programs offered by Government Institutions, Government Aided Institutions, and Unaided Self Financed Institutions. State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra conducts MAH BHMCT CET annually.

  • MAH BHMCT CET 2018 is expected to be held in second week of May 2018.
  • The application forms can be filled online only by visiting the official website.
  • It is necessary for candidates to have passed 10+2 examinations to appear for MAH BHMCT CET 2018.
  • MAH BHMCT CET 2018 is an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) entrance exam.
  • Duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes) and test paper consists of 100 objective type questions.
  • It is divided in to 3 sections i.e., General English, General Knowledge and Awareness and Reasoning
  • The result will be disclosed in the third week of May 2018.
  • After the announcement of merit list, applicants will be called for counselling process in the last week of July 2018.

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 differs widely as per the program. However, basic criteria to apply and appear for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 is as mentioned below:

  1. Applicant must be an Indian national.
  2. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks 45%
  3. For SC/ST candidates minimum qualifying marks are from 40%
  4. Candidates who are appearing in final examination of class 12 or has appeared in this exam but awaiting for result can apply for BHMCT CET 2018

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Application Form

Application Form for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 will be available from first week of April 2018. The application form can be obtained through online mode only.

Before proceeding to filling up application form for MAH BHMCT CET 2018, applicant must arrange soft copies of Passport Size Self Photograph (Dimension -200 x 230 pixels; Size Max 50kb and Minimum 20kb in jpg file format) and Signature (Dimension -140 x 60 pixels; Size Max 20kb and Minimum 10kb in jpg file format).

Steps for online submission of MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Application Form are as follows:

  • Visit Admission Portal at dtemaharashtra.gov.in
  • Click on the link stating “Click here for New Registration”
  • A Registration Form will open here
  • Enter details like: Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, etc.
  • Click on Register Button.
  • Next, you will be redirected to Payment Gateway. Click on Pay Now
  • Choose any option for Online Payment (Debit Card / Credit Card [RuPay / Visa / MasterCard / Maestro], Net Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards and Mobile Wallet)
  • E-Receipt will be generated here on successful transaction.
  • Fill Personal Details (Name, Gender, Religion, Mother Tongue, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Region (select from drop down menu), Annual Family Income (select income range from drop down menu, Nationality, Parents’ Name)
  • Address Details (State, Taluka, Village, and District {all these select from drop down menu}
  • Upload files for Self Photograph, Signature  (as per the specification mentioned above)
  • Save and take a review.

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Admit Card

Admit Card for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 will be available on official website. Admit card will not be sent to the candidates via any other channel, it has to be downloaded from the official website as given below:

  • Look for Admit Card for BHMCT CET 2018 link and click on it
  • Login with Registration Number or Roll Number and Password or Date of Birth
  • Click on Submit Button
  • Admit Card will appear on the screen, check all the details and download it.

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Exam Centers

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra State. There is no option for changing the center/venue/date/session for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 therefore no request in this concern shall be entertained.

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Exam Pattern

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 is online Computer Based Test (CBT). Duration of MAH BHMCT CET 2018 will be 90 minutes and there will be 100 objective type questions divided in 3 sections.

  • Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree – identifying relationship among group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, identifying next number in series, etc.

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Result

Result for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 is expected to be announced in the third week of May 2018. Result will be displayed on the official website i.e. dtemaharashtra.gov.in. Before declaration of result for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 entrance exam, answer key of the question paper will be published on official website of MAH BHMCT CET.

Intimation for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Result will be sent to candidate via email and SMS.

MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Counselling

Counselling process is organised under centralised admission process (CAP) system. Commissioner of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State conducts CAP.

Once the results for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 are out, a merit list is disclosed on the official website.

In the second week of June 2018, online registration form for admission will be made available. Submit the application form after choosing institution/colleges. Accordingly, a cut off list will be declared and those who qualify will finally appear for MAH BHMCT CET 2018 Counselling.

  • Mark sheets and pass certificate of H.S.C / S.S.C. / Equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education / CBSE / ICSC as the case may be.
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
  • Migration Certificate from the University / Board of last attended
  • Category certificate like SC / ST / OBC/ PwD, Military ex service man has to be submitted in prescribed formats and should also be attested or issued by competent authority.
  • Physically Handicapped certificate from the competent authority for the respective reserved category
  • Medical Fitness Certificate in prescribed Form issued by competent authority as is instructed in prospectus
  • Residential certificate/Domicile/Bonafide Certificate is required to be submitted if candidate need to be benefitted under Quota for candidate residing natively in State Maharashtra  
  • Aadhaar Card / Passport / Driving Licence / Voter Id Proof etc in original form for identity verification purpose
  • 5 passport size photograph as uploaded in application form
  • Self attested Photocopy sets of all above given documents

In case candidate fails in submitting above mentioned documents during counselling session or within the stipulated time, admission will be cancelled.
