LFAT 2018 APPLICATION FORM

LFAT 2018 application form can be filled online from 1st week of April onwards. The last date to submit the registration form is 2nd week of May 2018.

LFAT 2018 Registration Dates

LFAT 2018 Application form will be available from April 2018. The registration process for the same closes in 2nd week of May 2018. Candidates must keep a track of the following important dates that are applicable to LFAT 2018 Application Form:

LFAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

University of Allahabad defines LFAT 2018 eligibility criteria for the applicants. They are highlighted below: -

  • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level examination from any recognized board by the Central or State governments.
  • They must have scored minimum marks of 45% in their class 12 board exam (for General and OBC candidates).
  • For SC and ST candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% to this mark - that is, they need a minimum of 40% in their class 12 boards.
  • Candidates from General and OBC categories can’t be over 20 years of age in order to be eligible to apply for LFAT 2018.
  • In case of SC or ST candidates, there is a relaxation of 2 years in the upper age limit, that is they can be of maximum 22 years of age at the beginning of the course.

How To Fill LFAT 2018 Application Form?

LFAT 2018 Application Form will be available online on the official portal of University of Allahabad. Candidates can fill the exam form by following the steps listed below:

Step 1 - Visiting the official website

Candidates will have to visit the official website of university of Allahabad. They will have to click on the link that says ‘LFAT 2018 Admission form’.

Step 2 - Creating an account

Candidates will now have to create an account using a valid email ID. They will have to choose a user ID and password which they will need for all future references.

Step 4 - Filling in the form

Fill in all relevant details asked in LFAT 2018 application form. Candidates must note that they cannot leave any field blank. Unless they fill in all the details, they will not be able to submit the application form. Candidates will have to fill in the following details:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Guardian’s name
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Address of communication
  • Contact details (email id and phone number)
  • Educational details
  • Category (GEN/ OBC/ SC/ ST)

Step 5 - Uploading photograph and signature

Candidates will have to upload a passport sized photograph in the space provided for a photo in the application form. They must note the following for the photograph:

  • Candidates need to upload a recently clicked passport size photograph, it should ideally be a colored image and clicked against a light-colored or white background so that they are clearly visible against the background.
  • The image should be front-faced photo without any red eye.
  • In case the candidate is wearing spectacles, he/she must make sure that there is no reflection on the glasses and their eyes can be seen clearly.
  • Candidates should ideally click the photo without any caps, hats and dark glasses. Religious headwear, if any, must not cover the candidate’s face.
  • They will have to upload the photo in the specified dimensions in .jpeg format only.
  • Students should set their scanner to 200 dpi to get optimum results while scanning the photograph.

For the signature,

  • Candidates must use a signature made with a black or blue pen on a white paper.
  • They must be careful that it matches with their official documents.
  • Students will have to upload it in the specified dimensions in .jpeg format only.

Step 6 - Uploading documents

Candidates will now have to take a photocopy of the following documents as proof of validation to the information they have given in the application form and send them along with their application form after self-attesting them.

  • Class 10 and class 12-mark sheets
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Class 10 admit card as age proof
  • Receipt of the payment of fees (if paid in offline mode)

Step 7 - Paying the fee

Candidates will now have to pay the application fee based on their category. Candidates can opt to pay the fees in online or offline mode.

If paid in online mode, candidates can choose to pay it via net banking, credit card or debit card facilities.

If paid in offline mode, candidates will have to take a print out of the eChallan. They can use this to pay at select HDFC bank branches. They will then have to pay the requisite fees in the nearest branch and upload a copy of the receipt along with the other documents.

Step 8 - Submitting the form

Before submitting the form, candidates are advised to take a very careful look at all the data that they have entered. They are also advised to verify all information and documents they have uploaded to avoid any discrepancy later on.

Candidates will have to click on the SUBMIT button to submit their form. They are advised to take a few print outs of the form for any future reference.

LFAT 2018 Application Fee

Application fee for LFAT 2018 will vary depending upon the category of the candidate.

  • For General and OBC category candidates, the application fee is INR 1200.
  • For SC and ST category candidates, the application fee is INR 600.

Correction in LFAT 2018 Application Form

Candidates must note that the University of Allahabad will not allow any changes in the application form once the candidate has sent it to the concerned authorities via mail. They will not entertain any communication related to this for LFAT 2018 application form.

Ans. Allahabad University conducts Law Five Year Admission Test - LFAT for admission to its 5 year integrated BA LLB (Hons) Course.

Ans. LFAT 2018 application forms will be available online on the official website of University of Allahabad.

  1. Can I upload the passport photograph and digital copy of my signature shot with mobile phone camera?

Ans. The photograph and digital copy of signature can be clicked with a mobile phone camera; however, the size of photograph and digital signature will have to be in the prescribed size and format. The image has to be clear and of high quality.

  1. I have filled-up LFAT 2018 Application Form successfully but now, can I change or correct the details that I have entered in the Application form?

Ans. No change can be made after the Final Submission of LFAT 2018 Application Form. However, the candidate can fill in a fresh application form with a new user ID. The application fee for the first one will not be refunded in this case and the second application form will be treated as final.

  1. What is the procedure to make the payment online?

Ans. Candidate will be able to make the payment using either Net-Banking Account facility or a debit or a credit card using an online payment gateway. The charges may vary depending on the chosen payment option.

  1. I always receive the message of ‘invalid phone number’ while filling the application even though I am entering my correct phone number.

Ans. Candidates must check whether they are entering the number in the correct format. No special characters will be allowed.

  1. How will I know if my registration has been accepted?

     Ans. Candidates will be informed about acceptance or non-acceptance status of the registration via an e-mail sent to them on their registered email address.
