KCET 2017 Seat Allotment

KCET 2017 Online Seat Allotment has commenced from June 14, 2017. It will be conducted by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). 

  • The publication of Mock Allotment Results is on June 23, 2017 (after 4.00 PM).
  • The provision to change options begins from June 23 (8 PM) to June 24, 2017 (till 6 pm). 
  • Candidates have to complete the document verification process before obtaining provisional admission.
  • The last day for document verification for spot rank holders at various Helpline centers is June 22, 2017.
  • KCET Result was declared on May 30, 2017.

Candidates will be allotted seats in various programs under different disciplines of Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy. KEA has conducted the First Round of Seat Allotment Process. The Karnataka Examinations Authority had also conducted a Mock Seat Allotment round for the benefit of all the eligible candidates.

KCET 2017 Mock Seat Allotment

KEA will conduct the online seat allotment for admission to various professional courses in the Government/University/Private Aided/Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.

Candidates can practice online option entry through Mock Trial of option entry training session from June 23, 2017 onwards. The successful rank holders should visit the official site and click on “Hands on Training Practice for Option Entry (Practice Operation)” to start Mock Option entry training session.

The practice session is aimed at making candidates confident in option entry for real seat allotment process. Instruction for Mock seat allotment process is provided below.

  • Candidates are required to enter their CET Application Number as Unique keyword for login to get hands-on practice for option entry.
  • Options entry by the candidates during the Mock session will be erased after the practice session and candidates will have to enter fresh options during actual seat allotment.
  • Those who have completed the document verification process can login using the CET Application Number for Unique Key Word and not the Secret key issued to them.
  • Candidates have to verify their mobile number provided earlier and save it along with their email Id during the login process. Mobile Number and Email Id are important primarily for SMS and email alerts.

KCET 2017 Round 1 Seat Allotment

The candidates have to submit the choices for option entry during the first round of KCET 2017 seat allotment. Any modification in the choices can be made from June 23 (8 PM) to June 24, 2017 till 6 pm. The publication of results for round 1 of seat allotment are June 25, 2017 (after 4 PM). 

Candidates have to confirm the choices, pay the requisite fee and download the admission order from June 27 to June 30, 2017. The candidates will then carry the admission order and report to the allotted colleges for obtaining provisional admission. The last day to report at the allotted colleges is June 30, 2017.

The 2nd Round of KCET 2017 Seat Allotment is going to start soon.

Instructions for KCET 2017 Seat Allotment

  1. Login to the KEA website to access your account with Unique Secret Keyword mentioned on the Verification Slip.
  2. Don’t disclose the Keyword and Password to other candidates.
  3. Check the seat matrix for CET 2017 notified by Karnataka Government for Engineering, Architecture, Farm Science, B Pharm and D-Pharm
  4. Download and print the Option Work Sheet / Detailed Option Work Sheet from the official site of KEA  to practice before filling the options online
  5. Candidates can enter as many options as possible. They can enter all colleges and courses in all disciplines in which they have secured ranks as per their priority.
  6. Enter valid email ID and mobile number required for Option Entry to integrate SMS and email alerts for important notifications.
  7. A candidate has the option to modify preferences, add choices, delete choices before confirming of Online option preference multiple times before final deadline and click on “Save” for immediately updating the details.
  8. Make sure to click on “Logout” before leaving the option entry portal after saving the option entry every time.
  9. Take a printout of online option entry. The last saved/confirmed Online Options will be considered at the time of final seat allotment.
  10. No further changes can be made for options entry after the last date and time notified by KEA.

KCET Seat Allotment 2017 Round 2

  • Newly added candidates or those who are unfilled/surrendered/ canceled /fortified are eligible for seat allotment in the second round. 
  • Students who have chosen Choice 2 and 3 in Round 1 can also apply for admission.
  • The process of KCET Seat Allotment Round 2 is similar to Round 1.
  • The same choices for confirmation or rejection of seats will be available in the KCET Seat Allotment Round 2.

KCET 2017 Seat Allotment Extended Round 

  • The eligibility of candidates for KCET 2017 Seat Allotment Extended Round will be same as the second round.

  • In case no seats are allotted to the candidates in this round, then the seats allotted to them in the second round will get confirmed.

  • Candidates are permitted to modify/alter/re-order the preference of their choices. 

Withdrawal of Allotted Seats

  • In case a candidate wants to withdraw his or her seat before the second extended round of counselling, then he or she has to pay a processing fee of Rs. 5000 and remaining fees will be refunded. 

  • In case an applicant withdraws his seat during or after KCET Seat Allotment Second Round, then the entire fee will be forfeited. 

  • In case a candidate fails to submit original admission order, bank challan, green card and verification slip, then he or she will not be permitted to surrender or cancel the seats.

  • If an applicant takes admission in a college but then leaves it, then he/she will have to surrender the seat back to competent authority. KEA wilL make sure that Government Quota Seats are available to all the meritorious candidates.
