KCET 2017 Exam Centers

Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2017 is scheduled for May 2, 2017 (Biology and Mathematics) and May 3, 2017 (Physics and Chemistry) respectively. KCET 2017 will be conducted across 53 cities, across Karnataka. The Application Process will end on February 27, 2017. KCET 2017 Exam Centers will be allotted by the KEA Computers on random basis.

Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in Karnataka will have to appear for KCET from the same district from where they have completed second year PUC or 12th Standard. Candidates will have the option of picking different exam centers if there are more than one exam center located in the same district.


List of KCET 2017 Exam Centers

Candidates are required to appear at the following exam centers for Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2017.  There are 54 exam cities allotted by KEA (Karnataka Exam Authority) this year. Last year, the exam was conducted across 53 exam cities in Karnataka. So, the number of the exam centers remains fairly same. There were approximately 1.5 lakh candidates who had appeared for KCET 2016.

Those who are seeking eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses should appear for CET-2017 in a test center located at Bangalore only. Candidates should select the test center located in the same district from where they have qualified the PUC / 12th standard / equivalent examination.

KCET 2017 Centers for Practical Test

The candidates seeking seats reserved under Agriculturist Quota will have to appear for KCET Agriculture Practical Test on May 20, 2017. The candidates can carefully go through the guidelines for the practical test as well as the list of practical test centers mentioned below.

  • Candidates are required to the practical test fees on the day of verification of documents at the Practical Test Centers. The fee should be paid through DD. The fee for Gen and OBC candidates is INR 500/- and for SC/ST/Category I is INR 250/-.
  • The candidates will appear for the practical test in the same districts from where they have appeared for the CET exam.
  • Request for change of center is not allowed.
  • All related documents and certificates of the candidates will be verified from May 12 to May 18, 2017 at the centers mentioned below.
  • Candidates should appear for the practical test at the same centers where they will appear for document verification.
  • Those who don’t get their documents verified will not be allowed to give the practical test.

KCET 2017 Exam Center Allotment

The exam center for KCET 2017 are allotted through a randomized method by KEA computers. It is mandatory for Candidates passing the qualifying examination in Karnataka to appear for the test in a center located in the same district from where they pursued 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent. In case, multiple exam centers are allotted in the same district, candidates can choose the examination center according to their own discretion.

The candidates will indicate the place where they want to appear for the entrance exam while filling the online application form. The test code will be automatically fetched by the server when you enter the place of examination. Candidates should finally save the choice after filling all the other details in the application name. They should carefully go through the above mentioned list before filling the place of examination. The exam center and its address would be mentioned in the KCET 2017 admit card.

Applicants who claim reservation meant for Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates, should appear for a Kannada language test on Kannada language test. The test would be conducted on May 6, 2017 at the Bangalore Center only. Hence, these candidates can appear for KCET 2017 at one of the centers located in Bangalore only.

Note: KEA will try to allot the exam centers selected by the candidates only. However, in case of any unforeseen circumstances, KEA reserves the right to allot a different exam center. Any request for change of city will not be entertained by the authority at a later stage.

Candidates are advised to adhere to the guidelines while appearing for the KCET 2017.

  • The candidates should reach the exam center at least an hour before the schedule of exam. They should carry the valid Identity proof documents along with the KCET 2017 admit card to the exam center. Some of the valid ID proofs are:
  • Voter ID card
  • Driving License
  • Pan Card
  • Candidates should go through the instructions carefully before writing the exam.
  • All the candidates appearing for the exam should sign the attendance sheet in the presence of an exam invigilator.
  • Every candidate should take the seat allotted to them only inside the examination hall.
  • Candidates should focus on their exams only and avoid creating any disturbance during the conduct of exam.

Don’ts at the Exam Center

Candidates are prohibited from using any unfair means during the conduct of exam.

  • Candidates should not carry any electronic devices like phones, electronic calculators, pagers, etc. to the exam hall.
  • They should not carry any bits of papers or documents to the exam hall except the KCET 2017 admit card.
  • Candidates are not permitted to go outside the exam hall during the conduct of exam.
  • Any violation of the rules or any unfair means used during the examination could lead to disqualification of the candidature.
