JKCET 2017 COUNSELLING
STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
The JKCET Counselling is conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) for admission to various professional undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, BE, BUMS, BAMS and BPT programs etc. in the Government and private institutions of the Jammu & Kashmir State. JKCET 2017 is scheduled in 28 May, 2017. . The JKCET 2017 Results is expected to be declared in the third week of June, 2017.

The JKCET Result would be declared on the JKBOPEE official website. Candidates can check their results online by using their login credentials. The candidates who have appeared for PCM group can check their score and rank obtained in the JKCET 2017 Result for PCM group while the candidates who have applied for PCB group can check their score and rank in the result declared for PCB group. Candidates will also have the option to download their JKCET 2017 Score Card. Theresult is tentatively scheduled to be declared in the month of June. Last year, the result was declared in June, 2016.
JK BOPEE will prepare the JKCET 2017 Merit Listfor Open Merit Category and for every Reserved Category separately. The merit list is prepared on the basis of inter-se merit of candidates in JKCET 2017. Candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test prescribed for every respective category as per Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules and the MCI/DCI Regulations.
If there are two or more candidates with have the same score, then the inter-se-merit for these candidates will be decided on the basis of following parameters in order of their applicability.
JKCET Counselling provides the opportunity for candidates to choose their respective disciplines and institutions for seat allotment procedure. The counselling fee is INR 500/- through both online and offline mode. Candidates are only allowed to withdraw during the first round of counselling. The candidates are entitled for complete refund of counselling fee if he/she withdraws from the counselling. However, the late fee is not refundable which is paid due to missed counselling or missed admission. Candidates should clearly mention the multiple choices of disciplines/ institutions in the counselling form as per their order of preference. As per the seat matrix released by JK BOPEE, there are 400 seats available for MBBS course and 105 seats for BDS course in 5 government colleges. There are 252 seats reserved for candidates applying different reserved categories. There are 2244 seats available for various Engineering disciplines in different institutions. In the Government College of Engineering and Technology, 150 seats are reserved for various reserved categories.

JKCET 2017 Selection Procedure is primarily based on the merit of eligible candidates calculated on the basis of rank secured by the candidates in JKCET 2017. The JKCET 2017 Seat Allotment would be done through centralized counselling process. The counselling schedule would be announced soon on the official website. Candidates will not be intimated individually for the counselling process. The successful candidates after seat allotment will be granted provisional admission wherein they need to complete the admission formalities at the allotted institute within the stipulated time period. The candidates need to carry certain documents in original as well as Xerox copies at the time of counselling. In case, the candidates fail to produce these documents at the time of counselling, they are liable to be disqualified from the counselling process.
