JEMAT 2017 Result

JEMAT 2017 Result will be declared on July 21, 2017 in online mode only. JEMAT result will be followed by the schedule defined for GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview). JEMAT 2017 exam is scheduled on July 16, 2017.

  • JEMAT result will be declared in the form of a rank list.
  • The rank list consists of the details of name, registration number and rank obtained by the candidate.
  • On the basis of the JEMAT rank list, the counselling process will start.
  • It is expected that JEMAT counselling will start from October 1, 2017.
  • JEMAT result will be declared in two phases.

JEMAT Result will be declared by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT). Seat allotment will be done on the basis rank list & performance in GD/PI round.

How to check the JEMAT 2017 Result?

As the result is declared in the online, so following the simple 4 step process is good for checking the result:

  1. Open the official website: jemat.eadmissions.net.
  2. Check for the link “JEMAT 2017 result”.
  3. Click on the link and this will take you to a new webpage.
  4. Provide the details of the roll number on the screen.
  5. Click on “Submit” button.
  6. The rank list will be displayed on the screen; if your rank is present it will be displayed on the screen, as highlighted field else rank list will come simply.

JEMAT score card will be displayed after one or two days of the declaration of result, the same will not be available in the online mode only.

JEMAT 2017 Merit List

JEMAT 2017 Result will be released in the form of merit list, so students will have access to the entire PDF document issued or released by the examination authorities. JEMAT 2017 Merit list will be designed on the basis of the performance in the entrance exam.

JEMAT 2017 merit list will contain the following details:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Rank obtained
  3. Date of birth
  4. Father’s name
  5. Marks secured by candidate

Tie breaking criteria for JEMAT 2017: -

In case two or more candidates have score same marks, a tie breaking practice will be followed. The students will be analyzed on the following criteria:

  1. Profile: Here the educational background is analyzed among the two or more students and one best is given the position.
  2. Work experience: this will be used as the second parameter, students who have higher work experience in a managerial position will be given higher marks and the seat will be allotted.
  3. Age: this is the last step; the student older in age will be given the seat.

JEMAT 2017 Cut off

JEMAT cut off is the minimum cut off marks that must be secured by the candidate so that he/she could appear for the further rounds of GD/PI. The cut off is dependent on the following factors:

  1. Number of registered applicants
  2. Total number of test takers
  3. Difficulty level of the exam
  4. Marking scheme
  5. Total number of seats
  6. Reservation policy of the institute

The cut off is different for each of the colleges and so separate list is generated by each college after the counselling is done. Students have to qualify and clear the minimum cut off defined by each of the colleges and their eligibility requirements.


JEMAT 2017 GD/PI Schedule

The counselling will be conducted in two shifts morning and evening shift: Morning session: 10.30 am- 1.30 pm and Afternoon session: 2.30 pm- 5.30 pm

  1. JEMAT 2017 Admit card
  2. A demand draft of Rs.600 drawn in favour of MAKAUTWB-JEMAT and payable at Kolkata

JEMAT 2017 Counselling

JEMAT counselling will be done on the basis of the rank list. Students will be invited by colleges for counselling process. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of the overall performance in the entrance test, GD and PI.

  • Students have to apply separately for the counselling process for each of the college.
  • Students will appear for GD/PI of each college separately.
  • Separate fee has to be paid for each of the college counselling process.
  • Registration is done only once during the counselling process.
  • Seat allotment is confirmed only once the application fee is paid.
