JCECE 2017 Application Process

The JCECE 2017 Application Form will be available from April 3, 2017 on JCECEB website. The exam will be held on May 14, 2017. The candidates can submit only one application form and multiple application forms are liable to be rejected. Candidates need to deposit the application fee of INR 1100 (for PCM – General category) and INR 550 (for PCM – SC/ST category) either through DD/Bank Challan or online using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. Candidates can opt for any mode of registration to apply for JCECE 2017.

Application Form of JCECE will be available in three modes:

  1. Online (official webiste of JCECEB)
  2. ICR Application Form (download section in JCECEB)
  3. OMR Application Form (through designated Post Office)

JCECE 2017 organized by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (JCECEB)  for admissions to undergraduate degree level courses – B.Tech., MBBS, Agriculture and Forestry, Animal Husbandry, BDS and Homeopathy in both Government and Private colleges of Jharkhand.

How to Apply for JCECE 2017?

There are three different modes of applying for JCECE 2017 – Online, ICR Application Form and OMR Application Form from Post Office. Candidates can look at the process for accessing, filling and submitting different modes of JCECE 2017 Application Form.

  1. Online

The candidates can access, “Online Application for JCECE 2017” from the official website of JCECEB, fill in all the required details and upload the required documents. The candidates should keep the following documents ready before applying for JCECE 2017 online.

  • Marks sheet of Intermediate/10+2
  • Scanned Image of Photo
  • Scanned Image of Signature
  • Scanned Image of Left Hand Thumb Impression

Candidates filling JCECE 2017 Application Form through online mode, are not required to submit the hard copy of Application form to the Board Office. However, they must keep 3 or four printouts for future reference.

  1. ICR Application Form

The candidates can access the ICR Application Form, from the “Downloads” section on the Home Page of JCECE Board’s Website. The filled-in Application Form and the requisite Bank Challan/DD should sent to Board’s office.

Mention, “Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination-2017” in bold on the envelope containing Application form. The Application Form should reach the board’s office before the last date of submission. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected.

  1. Purchasing the OMR Application Form through Post Office

Candidates can also purchase JCECE 2017 Application form from any Post Office designated by the board. They should attach a DD or IPO of INR 100/-, if they are selecting PCMB group. The Application Form should reach the board’s office before the last date of submission. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected. Indicate, “Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination-2017” in bold on the envelope of Application form.

NOTE: The ICR Application form and the OMR Application Form obtained from post office should be sent to the address mentioned below.

JCECE 2017 Application Fee

Candidates applying for admission through any mode for JCECE 2017 need to submit the stipulated fee to complete the registration process. The JCECE 2017 Application Fee can be paid through Demand Draft, Bank Challan or online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking depending on the mode of application opted by the candidate. The category wise application fee for JCECE 2017 is indicated in the table below. The exam fee once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstance.

Candidates planning to submit the ICR Application Form downloaded from the official website, need to remit the fee through DD or Bank Challan. Demand Draft would be drawn in favor of “Controller of Examination, JCECEB”, payable at Ranchi. The Bank challan is attached with the ICR Application Form. Candidates can tender the application through Bank Challan at any Branch of United Bank of India as well as from any bank to Account of United Bank of India. Extra Bank Charges are applicable in case of payment through Bank Challan.

NOTE: Candidates purchasing the OMR Application Form from post offices, need to pay an additional fee of INR 100/- if they are opting for PCMB. This fee should be remitted through IPO/DD.

Important Details in JCECE 2017 Application Form

Candidates are required to fill certain details while applying for JCECE 2017. The candidates can refer the details below before filling-in JCECE 2017 Application Form:

While registering, the candidate is required to fill few personal details such as candidate’s name, gender, father’s name and few contact details including the e-mail id, mobile number and landline number (with STD code).

The candidate needs to mention the category he/she belongs to. The following categories are considered in the JCECE 2017:

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)

Academic Details

The candidate must enter the qualifying marks in this section to confirm their eligibility. The minimum marks and percentage as per the eligibility of both class 10th and class 12th are required to be filled. So one must carefully check the eligibility before applying. The candidates who are appearing for the class 12th CBSE/I.SC or any equivalent examination have to mention the name of board only in the class 12th column.

The OMR Application Form is purchased against the cash payment form the designated post offices. However, candidates applying through PCMB group should indicate the details of IPO/DD of INR 100/- which would be attached with the Application Form.

JCECE 2017 Admit Card

Candidate can download the JCECE 2017 Admit Card from the official website of JCECE Board’s website. The Admit Card will not be dispatched through post or courier. The Admit Card would contain candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, SMQ, PH, Photograph, Date of Birth, Subject Group, Name and Address of JCECE 2017 Exam Center.

If there is any discrepancy in the information of admit card, candidates should notify the board immediately. Candidates will be allowed to appear for exam with the same admit card. The board will take the necessary action later to make correction in their records. The admit card must be safely preserved till the completion of admission process.

JCECE 2017 Exam Centers

The Candidates are required to select two options for appearing in JCECE 2017. JCECE Exam Centers for PCM group are Ranchi, Dumka, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Bokaro. JCECE 2017 for PCB and PCMB group would be conducted at Ranchi only.

The Board on their part will made effort to allot the center as per the preferences indicated by the candidate. However, under unforeseen circumstances, Board reserves the right to allot a center other than the preference candidate made by the candidate. The centers are allotted through a computerized process and there is no intervention on the part of the board.

JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates planning to apply for JCECE 2017 should satisfy the various eligibility criteria laid down by JCECEB. These criteria are mentioned below in detail, go through it carefully:

  1. Residential Criteria

Candidates must be an Indian National and a local/permanent resident of Jharkhand. They need to submit a domicile certificate in the prescribed format at the time of Counselling. The certificate must be issued by Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Deputy Commissioner of Jharkhand State.

  1. Educational Qualification

The educational qualification criteria vary for Engineering, Medical, Agriculture and Forestry courses. The criteria is mentioned below for each stream:

EngineeringCandidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry. They should have secured a minimum total aggregate of 45%, and 40% if, candidates belong to reserved category.
MBBS/BDSCandidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. (40% for reserved category and 45% for Physically handicapped category).
B.Sc. AgricultureCandidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry along with Mathematics and Biology.
B.Sc. Forestry
B.V.Sc. & A.H.The minimum qualifying examination is 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 50% aggregate minimum. (40% for reserved category)
BHMSThe candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

  1. Age Limit
  • There is no minimum or maximum age limit for Engineering courses.
  • Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years or will attain the same by Dec. 31, 2017 will be eligible for MBBS/BDS/BHMS coursesas well as B.V.Sc and A.H. courses.
  • For B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Sc. Forestry courses, the minimum and maximum age limit is 17 years and 22 years respectively. There is an age relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit for candidates of SC/ST category.
  1. Physical Criteria

The JCECEB or the participating institution will conduct the Medical Check-up of all the candidates applying for admission and only fit candidates as per the norms of medical board will be eligible for admission.
