ISI ADMISSION TEST 2017

NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST

Online Application Procedure for ISI Admission Test is scheduled to begin in the second week of February, 2017 and it will continue till third week of March, 2017. To fill the ISI Application Form candidate will have to visit the official website of ISI. The admit card is scheduled to be released in the first week of April, 2017. Candidates who wish to apply must fulfil the ISI eligibility criteria for each course.

Indian Statistical Institute Admission Test is conducted for admissions to various Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate courses by ISI, Kolkata. Candidates are given admissions on the basis of the marks secured in ISI Admission Test 2017. However, direct admission to candidates with valid GATE score will be given on the basis of personal interview session of shortlisted candidates.

ISI Admission Test is to be held in the second week of May, 2017. ISI Admission Test 2017 Results will be declared for ISI Admission Test 2017 in the second week of June, 2017.

ISI Admission Test 2017 Eligibility

Candidate must fulfill minimum requisite qualification for ISI Entrance Exam 2017. ISI Admission Test 2017 Application fee

After the completion of ISI Application Form, candidate must pay the application fee of INR 600 (General Category) or INR 300 (SC/ST, PwD, OBC Category) through Online or Offline mode.

Online mode: To pay ISI Application fee online, candidate must possess a credit card/debit card or payment can be made via net banking. After filling the application form successfully, candidate will be asked to choose mode of payment at payment gateway. Candidate will have to enter ATM pin, Name, etc. while using Credit/Debit card.

Offline mode: A challan will be generated which will be used for cash payment in case of offline mode of payment. The procedure will take at least two working days from the date of completion of application at the ISI Admission Portal. The SBI will collect appropriate additional bank charges on top of the application fee. Candidate must check the admission status at the ISI Admission Portal for fee verification.


ISI Admission Test 2017 Application Form

Candidates interested in applying for ISI Admission Test 2017 must go for online ISI Application Procedure 2017, which is scheduled to begin from second week of February, 2017.

The candidates will have to create a profile on the official website of ISI. Candidate will have to upload scanned copy of photograph and signatures while filling the application form. For registration follow the steps that are given below:

  • Go to official website of ISI
  • Create a login ID and Password
  • Fill the ISI Application Form 2017 and upload the necessary documents.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 600 or INR 300 (SC/ST, PwD, OBC category) through online or offline payment method.

ISI Admission Test 2017 Admit Card

ISI Admission Test Admit Card will be released on the official website of ISI after first week of April, 2017. The admit card will hold registration number of the candidate along with the details such as name, venue of examination, timings, category, etc.

Candidates will have to save and get a print out of the admit card after reviewing all the details. The admit card must be carried to the test venue of ISI and must be kept secure for further reference.

The ISI Admit Card link is sent on the email id provided by the candidate during application process. Candidate will have to go the link and follow the steps given below to obtain the ISI Admit Card 2017:

ISI Admission Test Results

ISI Results is scheduled to be announced in the second week of June, 2017. Candidates can check their results online on the official website of ISI Kolkata. Given below are the steps to the check ISI Admission Test Results.

  • Enter ISI 2017 Application Number and Password or Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • Your score card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download your result and secure it for further reference.

ISI Admission Test 2017 Cut Off

The admission to various courses offered by ISI are based on the marks by scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. ISI Admission Test cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks a candidate must score in order to get admission. The cutoff marks for various courses is given below:-

ISI Admission Test 2017 Selection Procedure

ISI Selection Procedure will begin after the ISI Admission Test 2017 will be conducted successfully. The selected candidates will be either called for Interview session or direct admission will be given under certain eligibility conditions. Given below are the details of the selection procedure followed for each course:

B. Stat (Hons.)

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the two written tests. ISI will release a cut off on the basis of which candidates will be called for interviews. Also, INMO awardees will be called for interview session directly. Such candidates will not be required to sit for ISI Admission Test 2017.

After the interview session is conducted successfully, a final list will be prepared of the candidates who will qualify in written examinations as well as interview session.

B. Math (Hons.)

Since common admission test is conducted for both B. Stat (Hons.) and B. Math (Hons.), the selection procedure for both the courses remain same.

Selection Procedure for M. Stat and M. Math

Candidates with B. Stat (Hons.) degree from ISI will be admitted directly to M. Stat course without any selection process or interview. Such candidates shall be admitted to study the first year of this programme in Kolkata.

Those who hold B. Stat (Pass) degree or other eligible candidates, selection procedure is such that they will have to appear for the written tests. Candidates who will qualify to the cut off set by ISI shall appear for interview and final list of selected candidates shall be released. Such candidates shall pursue their first year in either Delhi or Chennai for this course.

Selection Procedure for MS (QE) and MS (QMS)

Selection of candidates to MS (QE) programme will be based on performance in written tests and subsequent interview. Academic records may also be taken into consideration.

MS (LIS)

For MS (LIS) programme, candidates will be selected on the basis of marks scored in written tests. Also, past academic records will be taken into consideration.

Selection Procedure for M. Tech. (CS) and M. Tech. (QROR)

After appearing for ISI Admission Test 2017, candidates who will qualify to the cut off set by the Institute will be called for interview. Sponsored candidates and candidates with valid GATE scores too shall appear for the examination as well as interview session. For M. Tech. (CS) programme, candidate with qualifying GATE score shall be called for interview directly.

Like all the other courses a final list shall be released on the basis of total score obtained in written tests as well as Interview.
