IRMA 2017 Application Process

IThe last date to apply for IRMA 2017 in online mode is December 30, 2016. The exam will be conducted on February 12, 2017. Candidates who wish to apply for the exam need to register on he official website of IRMA. The application fee for candidates applying for one course is different in online mode and offline mode. INR 1200 (General category) and INR 600 (SC/ST and OBC) are the fee of IRMA 2017 online application process. The admit card of IRMA 2017 will be available online in February 2017. The exam pattern of IRMA 2017 includes multiple choice questions format and the duration of the exam is 2 hours. 1 mark is awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Check IRMA Exam Pattern

IRMA Institute of Rural Management Anand provides admission to Post-Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM) and Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). For admission to these programmes IRMA conducts Issues of Social Concern (ISC) Examination. The candidates seeking admission to PRM (Post Graduate program in Rural Management) and FPRM (Fellow program in Rural Management) must also appear in CAT 2016/XAT 2017. The IRMA 2017 Application Form is available in both online and offline mode. The last date of applying to IRMA 2017 is December 23, 2016 for offline mode and December 30, 2016 via online mode.


IRMA 2017 Important Dates

IRMA 2017 Registration

To apply for IRMA 2017 and appear in Issues of Social concern (ISC) 2017 the candidates must register themselves with IRMA. The applicants of both FPRM and PRM need to follow the same IRMA 2017 registration procedure. The step-wise process of IRMA 2017 Registration is mentioned here:

Step 1: Click on the official website of IRMA.

Step 2: The applicant will be redirected to a page: forms.irma.ac.in

Step 3: Register with a valid Email ID.

Step 4: An email will then be sent which will contain a one-time link for setting your profile password.

Step 5: The applicants must click on the link and set a password.

Step 6: This will register the applicant and he/she can log in using the Email ID and password in future.

Note: The registered mobile number & email Id in the profile is important because at various stages of the IRMA application process, details of Roll No., Exam venue, Result, Final selection will be conveyed through them.

If I am not able to proceed further for registration, then what to do?

In such a situation the candidates are advised to ensure that they have turned off "popup-blocker" in their browser's settings option.


IRMA 2017 Application Process

IRMA 2017 have a common exam ISC for admission to PRM and FPRM. Hence the application process for both the course is same. Candidates can apply for both the course but in such a case they must satisfy the eligibility criteria for both. The IRMA 2017 application form is available both online and offline. Following the IRMA 2017 Application Fee Payment mode these are the ways a candidate can apply to IRMA 2017.

IRMA 2017 Application mode I: Online. It can be further divided according to the payment mode.

  • Pay online at the end of IRMA 2017 application process.
  • Payment at any IMS learning center.
  • Pay via SBI challan available on IRMA website in the admission link.

Note: For applicants belonging to (BPL) families, IRMA 2017 application process is available online. They have to follow these steps:

Apply online and send the print out of the filled IRMA 2017 application form along with a photocopy of self-attested valid proof of BPL status. This will exempt them from paying application fees.

The application process of IRMA 2017 via online mode is as follows:

Step 1: The candidates have to log in using the registered Email ID and password.

Step 2: The applicants will then be redirected to the online application form.

Step 3: There are seven steps to follow henceforth.

Personal: This will include the personal details of the applicant.

Address: It will contain the details of correspondence.

Course: The students must fill information about the course they are applying to.

  • For PRM course: The applicants should mention CAT 2016/XAT 2017 registration ID. If the candidates has appeared in both CAT 2016 & XAT 2017, then both the registration ID’s must be provided.
  • For FPRM course: CAT 2017 or XAT 2017 registration ID is required.
  • If the candidate has “PGDRM from IRMA” or “Valid scores of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines” and hence is eligible for exemption from IRMA 2017 ISC exam then also no CAT 2016/ XAT 2017 registration ID is required.

Education: Includes the educational and academic information of the students.

Income Information: Includes the income details of the student’s household.

Documents and Declaration: Includes various documents, affidavits and declarations that need to be signed by the candidate.

Step 4: On completion of filling the IRMA 2017 application form, the students will be redirected to the payment section. There are 3 types of IRMA 2017 Payment method mentioned above.

  • If payment has been made at the IMS Learning Center the applicant can then apply online using that receipt number.
  • If payment has been made through SBI challan, the student can apply online using the unique SBI challan ID issued by the bank and the date of the challan.
  • If the payment is made online, the applicants can pay the application fees online i.e. using Debit card/ Credit card or Net Banking.
  • Such applicants need not send the hard copy of the application form.

Step 5: The applicants must review the entire application form once to ensure there is no incorrect information.

Step 6: Click on the submit button. No changes can be made in the IRMA 2017 application form thereafter.

Step 7: After successful submission an Application No. will be generated which should be saved by the candidate as it will be required for future references.

Step 8: The candidates will also receive an Email in the registered Email ID as soon as the submission is made.

Step 9: On the upper right corner, the students can click on the Profile button and download or print the summary page of the application form.

The applicants can login afterwards and do the same.

IRMA 2017 Application mode II: Offline. The IRMA 2017 application form can be obtained along with prospectus and sample question paper in the Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand - 388 00

Note: For BPL Applicants the candidates can send a request by post or courier for an IRMA application form to the Admissions Office along with a photocopy of self-attested latest proof of BPL status. They will receive a hard copy of prospectus, application form as well as sample question paper.



IRMA 2017 Application Fee

The IRMA 2017 Application fee varies according to the category of the student, the mode of payment and the number of programmes to which the applicant has applied. The candidates have to apply through the same IRMA application form to both PRM and FPRM course.

IRMA 2017 Payment Mode

There are four different ways of paying the IRMA 2017 Application fee.

At IMS Learning Centre: The applicant has to pay at any IMS Learning Center. A receipt of payment will be issued. The student can use the receipt number to apply online.

SBI challan: The candidate has to download the SBI Challan available in Important Downloads available on IRMA website.Print out the SBI Challan and deposit the application fees in any of the SBI branches through SBI challan. On successful submission, a unique SBI challan ID will be issued which can be used to login to apply online.

Online Payment: The IRMA 2017 application fees can be paid online i.e. using Debit card/ Credit card or Net Banking. This is a table of the Banks and the Bank codes accepted for the DD.

For BPL applicants:

You don’t have to pay the application form fees in this mode. But you are required to attach a self-attested photocopy of latest proof of Below Poverty Line (BPL) status issued by the appropriate authority with the hard copy of your application form to get an exemption from paying the application fee and send it to Admissions Office, IRMA on or before December 23, 2016.

The candidates are advised to opt for offline mode of payment and application process in such a case.

IRMA 2017 Application Status Tracking

The candidates can check their respective application status by following these steps:

  1. Go to the official website of IRMA.
  2. In the admission section, find the URL titled Application Status.
  3. Click on the URL.
  4. Provide these details- form number and date of birth.
  5. This will display the current status of your application.
  6. This will include your form number, roll number, test center and the result of the tests conducted during the admission process.

The candidates can also track the status of their application via SMS service. The steps are listed below:

  1. Type ADM space and then quote your Form No.
  2. Send the SMS to 9687933388.

For example ADM 25633.

Note: The SMS/unicast service is chargeable to the applicant as per SMS agreement.

FAQs Related to IRMA 2017 Application Process

If initially I have applied for one programme, but now I want to apply for additional programmes then what should I do?

The candidates can write an application making a request for addition of another programme to the Admission coordinator with the programme details and pay the respective fees by Demand Draft.

The applicant must mention his/her application form No. Also, the DD should be made in the favor of IRMA and it should be payable at Anand.

How do I correct wrong entries after submissions?

The applicants cannot edit entries online once the form has been submitted. If any important changes have to be made the applicants can follow these steps:

  1. Take a printout of the application form
  2. Make the corrections in the form
  3. Send it to us as per the address of IRMA. But the candidates are strictly advised to be careful before submitting the IRMA Application form.

IRMA 2017 Eligibility

The admission to FPRM and PRM involves the same IRMA Exam i.e. Issues of Social Concern. But the rules of IRMA 2017 Eligibility for both the courses differ from each other. There is no particular age limit for IRMA 2017.

IRMA 2017 Eligibility for FPRM course

The eligibility rules for FPRM 2017 are detailed below. The applicants must fulfill any one of the below listed criteria to be able to apply for FPRM

  1. Post-Graduation from a recognized university or institution(in any discipline )
  • Minimum percentage at PG = 55% marks
  • Minimum marks at UG = 50 %
  1.  Five-year professional degree -medicine, veterinary science, architecture
  • Minimum marks=60%
  • Work experience= At least one year.
  1. Four-year professional degree in any one of the following disciplines-engineering, agricultural sciences
  • Minimum marks=60%
  • Work experience= At least three years

Note: For SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled Persons the eligibility is 5% lower than those mentioned above.

The following applicants are exempted from applying for the IRMA Online test and are directly called for interview:

  • If the applicants have PGDRM from IRMA or
  • PGDRDM from IRMA with one year work experience after diploma.
  • A valid score of UGC JRF in these disciplines-management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.

Note: Only appearing in NET does not qualify the applicants to obtain an exemption from the Admissions test IRMA 2017. The applicants must have an UGC JRF score.

Exceptional case: If a person does not have a PG Degree but possess an exceptional professional experience and proven competence which can be put at equal stature with a PG degree are also considered for admission to the Programme.

  • In such a case the candidate’s work, experience and contributions will be assessed by the FPRM Executive Committee. An equivalence to the respective PG course will be evaluated.

FAQ related to FPRM eligibility: Are Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and Sons & Daughters of Non Resident Indian(s) eligible to apply to Fellow Programme in Rural Management 2017 (FPRM 2017)?

No, foreign students are not able to apply for the Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). But the issue is being debated and the applicants can apply for the same possibly in 2017.


IRMA 2017 Eligibility for PRM course

The applicants who wish to pursue PRM course must have the following IRMA 2017 eligibility:

  1. The applicant must be a Graduate in any discipline (10+2+3, a minimum tenure of 15 years education)
  • Minimum percentage at graduation=50%
  • For SC/ST/DAP*=45 percent
  1. The CGPA must be converted into equivalent marks as per the rules of the concerned university or institution. If not, the equivalence will be established by IRMA
  2. IRMA’s rule of calculating equivalent marks of CGPA: obtained CGPA /the maximum possible CGPA * 100.
  3. Those who are yet to be a graduate but expect to complete all the criteria of graduation before June 12, 2017 can also apply.

IRMA 2017 Reservation

IRMA has not declared any specific IRMA 2017 reservation rules. But certain information is mentioned by IRMA which is stated below:

  • No management quota is available for admission to PRM at IRMA.
  • For reservation of SC/T/OBC/DAP applicants IRMA follows the statutory reservation policy of Government of India.
