How to Apply for IPUCET 2017

The mode of application for IPU CET 2017 is online. The registration is carried out in two parts. Candidates have to regsiter initially by selecting the exam category and entering the personal details. The next step is uploading the image of the required document.

After uploading the images, candidate has to enter the academic details as per the IPU CET ELigibility of the course. The payment of application fee in online mode is the next step after registration part II.

The application fee is INR 1000 per application fee. IPU CET Application form are now available on the official website i.e. www.ipu.ac.in. Last date for the submission of Applications is March 28, 2017. 


Documents Required For IPU CET 2017 Application Process

Candidate has to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression after registering for IPU CET on the official website. The details of the pre-requisites are given below:

Steps To Fill IPU CET 2017 Application Form

The details of the steps involved in application process of IPU CET are Registration, Uploading the images, Form filling and Payment of application fee. After the payment, print the receipt obtained and the completely filled IPU CET Application Form for future correspondence. The details of each step is given below:

Step 1- Visit the official Website of IP University

It is the initial step to apply for IPU CET 2017. Candidates can fill the online application form for Common Entrance Test from the University website. For this, candidates have to visit the official website of the IP University. After this, you need to move on second step.

Step 2- Fill the Application Form

IPU CET 2017 Application form is fully automated and its payment has to be made through online mode only. There are 2 forms- Form 1 & Form 2.

Form 1 is for the personal/ general information. Form 2 is related to the course and payment of fees of IPU CET 2017 Application Form. A candidate has to fill his general information for proceeding towards the course selection and payment section on the Form 2.

Step 3- Choose the Exam Category

While filling the general information in application form, candidate has to select anyone out of the 3 exam categories:

  • Engineering/ Professional/ Medical programmes / M.Phil. /PG Diploma Programmes
  • PhD Programmes
  • Post Graduate Medical Courses (PGMC/ M.D./ M.S./ D.M./ M.Ch)/ Super Specialty Medical Courses (SSMC)

Note- A candidate can select and fill as many courses as he want in the same form, if all the selected courses belongs to a single exam category. If a candidate wants to fill multiple courses across the different exam categories then he will have to register separately for both the courses. Individual registration needs to be done for selecting the courses of separate exam categories.

Step 4- Fill the General Information in Form 1 (Tab 1)

  1. Page 1 of the General Information form contains the personal information fields, such as email ID, mobile number of residence number and all the details are mandatory.
  2. Candidate has to click on ‘here’ to upload his scanned passport sized colour photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression. The uploaded documents should be clearly visible, else his candidature will be cancelled.

  1. Candidates have to upload their recent passport size photograph. It has to be uploaded by clicking on Browse button. Now, select the photograph from the system (where the photograph is stored) and click on Upload. Image should be in .JPEG/.JPG or.GIF format only and it should be less than 80 KB in size.

  1. To upload the Signature, candidate has to click on Signature Tab and upload his scanned signature. It can be uploaded by clicking browse button. Candidate has to select the scanned signature image from the system (where the signature image is stored) and then click on Upload. Image should be in .JPEG/.JPG or.GIF format only and it should be less than 80 KB in size.

  1. For uploading Left Hand Thumb impression, candidate has to select Left Hand Thumb Impression Tab and upload his scanned image. By going through Browse button, candidate has to select his scanned thumb impression image from the system and after that click on Upload button. The image should be in .JPEG/.JPG or.GIF format only and should be less than 80 KB in size.

  1. After uploading the photograph, signature and thumb impression, candidate has to click on “Close This Window” button to close the window, once he gets the message “Your images have been uploaded successfully” in all the 3 tabs. You can preview your uploaded image in the image box displayed on right hand side of the window.
  1. After completing the personal details and uploading the images, click on ‘Next’ to move to the qualification section. Qualification section is the next step after Step 4.

Step 5- Fill the Qualification Details in Form 1 (Tab 2)

  1. On the basis of the selected exam category, Qualification page will appear. Candidate has to fill his all the required academic details. These details are not mandatory and candidates have to fill the details only if they are available with them. Based on the exam category selected, the qualification page will appear as follows:
  • For Engineering/ Professional/ Medical programmes, the qualification page will look like this-

  • For PhD Programme- candidate has to enter the examination details such as class 10, class 12, year of passing, name of institution, name of university and subjects. This section also includes the exams qualified, their scores and work experience. 

  • For Post Graduate Medical Courses (PGMC/ M.D./ M.S./ D.M./ M.Ch) / Super Specialty Medical Courses (SSMC): in this section, a candidate has to fill academic qualification of class 10, class 12 and graduation details with the proof, and work experience details.

  1. After completing the Academic details, as per the exam categories selected, then candidate has to click ‘next’ and he will be directed to the final submit page. Final submit page will open in Tab 3 where declaration of the exam will be done.

Step 6- Declaration (Tab 3)

For Declaration candidate will have to-

  • captcha’,
  • Check the ‘I Agree’ checkbox
  • Click on ‘SUBMIT’ button

  • Click the ‘Submit’ and then following message will appear in the dialog box:

  • If the applicant press CANCEL, then he will be allowed to check and make modifications in his general and academic details.
  • If the applicant presses OK, then he cannot edit the same and have to re-register in case he need to change any personal information.

Step 7- Generate Login ID & Password

  1. When candidate click on OK, another message box will appear asking applicants to note down their login id and password that will be used further to login or to apply for multiple courses:

2. Once an applicant press OK, his Login ID and Password will be generated, which along with the other details are shown in the next window. Applicant can neither take Print out of this page nor can edit his personal details.

Step 8- Course Application Form 2 (Tab 1)

In tab 1 form 2, applicants can go to the Course Application Tab to apply for the courses and will have to click on “Apply for Courses” button. Here is a glimpse of the course application tab-

Step 9- Course Selection Form 2

  1. When you move to the next page, some information of the applicant will get auto updated. Then applicant has to select the course what he wants to apply for from the list provided-

Note: An applicant cannot apply for the same course twice

  1. If applicant selects, B.Tech, MBBS Stage 1, MCA and MBA course in Engineering/ Professional/ Medical Programmes exam category, then he will be given IPU CET 2017 exam centers choices and they are shown in the following picture-

3. Candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 1000 (for General/ OBC/ SC & ST candidates) for each course.

4. After selecting the course, applicant will have to-

  • Check the ’I Agree’ checkbox
  • Click on ‘SUBMIT’ command button

5. On clicking on ‘SUBMIT’, a message box will be shown to the candidate to preview the details that he has filled so that just in case a candidate wants to change any of the details provided by him, then he can click on ‘CANCEL’. Given below is the snapshot of the dialog box as an example-

Step 10- Payment

After checking all the details click on OK button, after that candidate will be directed to the Bill Desk page for the course payment. The payment will be finalized by selecting “Make Payment” command button-

Step 11- Print Out of the Generated Form

After completing the successful transaction applicant will be redirected to the page where candidate’s personal and course details will be provided along with the transaction ID. After this, Candidate can take the printout of this page and keep it safe for future use. Given below is the screen shot of the generated form-

Step 12- Apply for Multiple Courses

  1. Once the applicant has applied for the course then he can view all his course details on the Course Application tab. You can get an idea from the following picture-

  1. By clicking on view, applicants can view their course details
  2. After completing the submission of one course, if an applicant wants to apply for another course, then he can login using his login ID and password. He can switch to the Course details tab and can apply for another course in the same way as applied for the first course.

IPU CET 2017 Application Form Correction

Candidates who have submitted or filled Application Form for IPU CET 2017, can make correction in the particulars filled in the form, if they have made a mistake while filling-in details. The Applicants can make corrections related to DOB, spelling of names etc. by submitting an application in physical form at the Reception, Examination Branch, GGSIPU University. They need to submit a processing fee of Rs.500/- along with the application.

Candidates need to submit the application within 5 working days of the deadline of form submission with the stipulated fee. There is no provision for making any further corrections after this opportunity. In case a candidate has made multiple payments for same CET, the additional amount would be refunded. Applicants are advised to contact the University Help Desk in case the additional amount is not refunded.
