IPU CET (IPU ENTRANCE EXAM) 2017 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
STATE LEVEL ONLINE TEST
IPU CET 2017 is a pen and paper format exam i.e. written test. It is expected to be conducted from April 2017- May 2017 as per the course or program. The questions in IP University entrance exam will be objective type and in English Language only.
Candidates have to solve 150 Objective type questions in 2 hours 30 minutes. The sections and IPU CET Syllabus varies for each course. Candidates have to mark the correct choice in the OMR Sheet provided to them using black ball point pen. Every correct answer is awarded 4 marks while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect choice.
Candidates who apply for the B.Tech program through IPU CET 2017 have to follow the structure of the exam as per thr CET Code applied for. Candidates can check the subjects included in the applied course and weightage of the subject in the table below:

Syllabi for CET Code 128, for the prescribed subjects shall be of Diploma level. Syllabi for CET Code 130 and 131, for the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (Botany & Zoology) or Biotechnology shall be up to 12th under the 10+2 Scheme for the students passing class 12th in the year 2016.
Admissions to M.Tech programs offered at IP University are done on the basis of GATE Score or through IPUCET 2017. M.Tech Courses is offered in two modes, Regular and Weekend mode, all the streams are available in regular mode and some of them are available in weekend mode as describe below:

Note: - Admissions to weekend mode programs would be based only on the merit of CET. Thus, all applicants seeking admissions in weekend programs must appear for the respective CET even if they have a valid and qualified GATE score.
IPU Entrance Examfor PGMC Program consists of the entire MBBS Syllabus. The question are divided in each section and have to be solved in 3 hours. The exam will consist of two sections, Section 1 and Section 2. There are 300 MCQ in the IP University Entrance exam.
Section I will have 100 questions to be solved in 1 hour. The total weightage of the section is 400 marks. The Section II comprises 200 questions to be solved in 2 hours. This section has a total weightage of 400 marks.
Section wise topics for PGMC Exam in IPU CET is described in the below table. There are only 4 topics to be asked in section1 and 9 topics are included in the section 2.

IPU CET 2017 test for Super Speciality Medical Course (SSMC) course will consist of subjects of respective super speciality course. The paper is of one & half hour duration which comprises of 100 MCQ with maximum of 400 marks. Zero marks will be awarded for every incorrect & 4 marks for every correct answer.
IPU CET 2017 for MBA will be an objective type paper. Duration will be 3 hours. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.There are 2 exams for MBA and MBA (IT):
The exam comprises of 4 sections with a total of 150 objective questions. The total weightage of the questions is 600 marks. The detailed pattern of the IPU CET 2017 for MBA is given below:

IPU CET 2017 consist of the following subjects for LLM Course. This exam consist of 4 sections and weightage of each section is different mentioned in the below table. The exam pattern for IPU CET 2017 to Masters Course of Law (LLM) is as under:

There will be no entrance exam for weekend programme of LL.M in Cyber & Cyber Crime and LLM in Intellectual & Industrial Property Law. Direct Interview will be held for admission in these courses.

M.Tech programs at IP University are generally offered in the regular mode, though for some programs classes are conducted on the weekends. For the regular mode programs, the admissions would be offered first to candidates with valid GATE score in the relevant disciplines. If seats remain vacant after admissions on the basis of valid and qualified GATE score, seats would be offered to CET qualified students.
The question paper will consist of 150 objective type questions which have to be attempted in 150 minutes. The syllabus for various disciplines is almost similar to GATE.
