NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST

IIMC Entrance Exam

IIMC (The Indian Institute of Mass Communication) will be conducting the IIMC Entrance Exam 2017 for all the PG Diploma courses in English and Hindi journalism, Radio and TV journalism, Advertising and PR relations and Odia/Malayalam/Marathi/Urdu journalism for the academic year 2017-18 on May 27 & 28, 2017. On the basis of an aspirant's score/rank in the entrance exam and PI/GD, he/she can secure admission at any IIMC campus.

The notification for IIMC Entrance Exam 2017 shall be put on the official website from March 15, 2017, and candidates can apply online/offline until May 5, 2017.

Candidates who wish to pursue PG Diploma courses from this prestigious institute, can register themselves online/offline and take the national level test on May 27/28, 2017. A candidate applying for IIMC 2017 examination must be a citizen of India and must have passed graduation in any discipline. IIMC 2017 examination will be conducted in offline mode. It will contain questions covering different topics in the field of Journalism and Media, based on the course candidate has applied for.

IIMC 2017 results will be declared in the last week of June and the GD/PI will start after that and will continue till the second week of July 2017. Candidates will secure the seat based on their performance in IIMC entrance test and GD/PI.

Availability of Application Form will begin on March 25, 2017, and will continue till May 05, 2017. The last date to apply and submit the form is May 05, 2017. IIMC Entrance Exam will be held on May 27 & 28, 2017. Results of the entrance test will be declared in the last week of June 2017. IIMC Interview will be conducted in the last week of June/First week of July 2017. Final results to be declared in last week of July 2017.

IIMC Eligibility criteria

Candidates seeking admission in PG Diploma courses of IIMC are advised to check IIMC 2017 Eligibility Criteria before applying. It is essential for the candidates to check Eligibility criteria set by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication to be eligible for IIMC 2017 Admission Process. In case, a candidate fails to meet the Criteria, his/her application is liable to be rejected.

Here are the eligibility conditions to know the age required, minimum academic qualification for appearing for IIMC 2017 Exam and Admission Process:

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible for PG Diploma Courses.
  • Academic Qualification: An applicant should be a graduate in any discipline, students appearing for their final year examinations can also appear for the entrance test, showing their final year mark sheet/provisional certificate by August 31, 2016.

Age limit

  • For students from the general category, the date of birth should be August 1, 1992, or later.
  • For the SC/ST/handicapped students, the date of birth should be August 1, 1987, or later.
  • While OBC candidates' date of birth should be August 1, 1989, or later.

IIMC Application Form

How to Apply

IIMC conducts national level examination 2017 for admissions to PG Diploma courses in various IIMC Colleges.

IIMC 2017 Examination will be held on May 27 & 28, 2017, and the application form will be available from March 25 to May 5, 2017. Last Date to submit the IIMC 2017 Application Form is May 5, 2017.

The Candidate is advised to go through the details of the application process and eligibility criteria for IIMC 2017 before starting the application procedure. Procedure (Offline &Online) for filling up the IIMC 2017 application form are given below: -

Online Application

  • Go to the official website of IIMC i.e. www.iimc.nic.in
  • Click on the link for Online Form Filling available on the page.
  • Fill in all the required details carefully and accurately.
  • After filling the details in the form, proceed to the payment gateway.
  • Candidates have to upload a scanned copy of recent passport size photograph and signature as per given instructions.
  • Take the printout of duly filled application form and send the same to the head of the department of Delhi.

Offline Application

Candidates can obtain the application form from the designated centres or campus by paying the required application fees. Fill in the form with details and send the same to the headquarter in Delhi before the last date.

Payment of Fee

Application fee can be submitted via Demand Draft, drawn in favour of Registrar, IIMC New Delhi payable at New Delhi.

For all Applicants excluding SC/ST/PwD category applicants: Rs.1200

For all SC/ST/PwD category applicants: Rs.1100


IIMC Entrance Exam Pattern

IIMC Admit Card

All the applicants must keep in mind that the IIMC Admit Card can only be downloaded from the official website of IIMC. No candidate will receive the Admit card via e-mail or post. IIMC will release the Admit card to only those candidates who have successfully filled the application form with the payment of fees on time.

IIMC Results

Indian Institute of Mass Communication will release the result of the candidate who has successfully appeared in the entrance exam. Candidates can check and download their result online from the official website. Interview dates will be published by the 3rd week of June.

IIMC Selection procedure

The candidates will be selected for the PG Diploma courses at various centres of IIMC on the basis of their performance in the written exam and in Personal Interview/Group Discussion.
