NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
IBPS PO Main exam results are out on the official website and can be viewed till December 15, 2016. The Main phase of PO Exam was conducted on November 20, 2016. The exam was reconducted on November 25, 2016 for Lucknow center where exam was cancelled.
With the declaration of the result, IBPS is on schedule for IBPS PO/MT VI recruitment. Candidates who qualify the Main exam will have to appear for Interview round. Based on marks scored in Main exam and Interview, IBPS will prepare the final list of selected candidates. IBPS will soon begin to roll out the interview call letters for the qualified candidates.
The expected schedule for interview is from January 2017 to February 2017. The whole recruitment process for PO/MT VI will be completed by April 2017.
IBPS PO/MT examinations will be conducted in morning and evening shifts on the defined dates. IBPS PO 2016 answer keys will be made available on the official website. The answer keys of IBPS PO will be published in 4 different sets- Set A, Set B, Set C and Set D. After the completion of IBPS PO 2016, answer keys of the same will be published on the official website of IBPS.
Answer Keys plays a very important role in calculating the marks. Either it gives candidates a shock or a pleasant breath! With the increasing demand of Banking Jobs owing to the job security and growth prospect, the exam is growing popular with the coming years. In the previous session of IBPS PO, nearly 1.27 crore candidates registered for exam against the available vacancies of 8822 posts at various banks and insurance organization. The figure is expected to go even higher in the coming session. And with it, the competition and anxiety too.
IBPS exam is held across multiple exam dates, exam centers and shift because huge number of candidates appear for the exam. Each shift has different set of question paper. It is seen that many of the candidates complain about the level of difficulty of questions. But actually it is impossible to set 2 question sets of the same level of difficulty. And this is the reason that some candidates end up by answering easier set and some by the difficult one. Candidates who attempt the easier set of questions have a liability of high cut off as compared the candidates appeared for difficult set of questions.
Due to the variation in the level of difficulty of questions, IBPS has a fair method and it provides equal opportunity to all the candidates. IBPS equates the scores of various candidates appeared in various shifts. The scores secured by each of the candidate are normalized by equipercentile method.
Scores up to 2 decimal numbers are taken for calculating the scores in IBPS Result. The final score of the candidates will be defined on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in IBPS PO Mains and Interview. The weightage ratio of the interview and CWE (mains) is 20:80 respectively.
The first stage of Probationary Officer Recruitment through IBPS is IBPS PO Pre 2016. The total marks allotted for IBPS PO Pre is 100 marks. To get qualified for the next level, candidates should score the minimum qualifying marks at least in the sections of the IBPS PO Pre and the total qualifying marks. The IBPS cutoff will be declared later by IBPS. It is important to note that, the marks scored in IBPS PO Pre are not considered in the final merit list of IBPS PO interview.
IBPS PO Mains 2016 is the 2nd stage for get recruited for the post of Probationary Officer. The total marks allotted for IBPS PO Main 2016 is 200 marks. This year, some changes has been made in the IBPS PO Mains entrance exam. Candidates should obtain a minimum qualifying score in each section of the IBPS PO Mains and also a minimum required total score to get waitlisted for the personal interview.
As per the number of vacancies and the level of difficulty of questions, cut offs are determined and candidates will be waitlisted for the interview. Candidates should note that, marks secured in IBPS PO Mains will only be considered for selecting the candidates for the interview and the final merit list. Before the completion of the interview process, marks will not be disclosed to the candidates.
Candidates who have scored the minimum qualifying marks in IBPS PO Mains 2016 entrance exam, will be finally called for the IBPS PO Interview. The total marks for the interview is 100. Candidates should score at least 40% marks in order to get selected for the post of PO/MT. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories, have to score at least 35% marks in the interview. The selection of the candidates is on the basis of merit list. Candidates who score high marks, be sufficiently high in the merit list and will have chances to get selected for the provisional allotment process.
Whenever the IBPS PO 2016 result will be declared, candidates will receive the notification on their registered mobile number and on the email provided at the time of IBPS Online Registration. Candidates can check their scores by following the given steps:
Selection of the candidates for the recruitment of PO/MT is held in 3 steps- IBPS PO Pre exam, IBPS PO Mains exam and the common interview. Depending upon the vacancies, shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allotted to any one of the participating organizations. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit list, prepared according to the reservation policy.In case, if 2 or more candidates scores the same marks then the candidate older in age will be preferred.
