IBPS PO Cut off is the minimum mark that a candidate needs to obtain for provisional allotment. Through this, a candidate will get an idea where they stand and if they are qualified for further rounds or not. The cut off will be released post IBPS PO Exam. It will be released on the official website of IBPS- ibps.in.
IBPS recruitment for PO is held in 3 stages. The IBPS PO Prelims exam is the first stage and the qualifying candidates will be called for the IBPS PO Mains exam. IBPS PO Pre is scheduled on October 7, 8, 14 and 15. Whereas IBPS PO Main 2017 is scheduled on November 26, 2017. Candidates qualifying the IBPS PO Prelims are eligible to appear for mains exam. The result of IBPS PO Mains will be declared in December 2017. Cut off of IBPS PO 2017 is expected to be bit more than that of the previous year. There are various factors that affects the same.

Cut off for IBPS PO are the minimum marks that must to be obtained by the candidates to get qualified for the next round of the IBPS PO recruitment procedure 2017. The IBPS Recruitment primarily consists of 3 stages namely- IBPS PO Pre, IBPS PO Mains and IBPS PO Interview. The final score considered for selection of candidates would be derived on the basis of individual weightage assigned to each component of the IBPS PO Selection Process.
IBPS PO Mains 2017 – The 2nd step of the recruitment process is the IBPS PO Mains exam. Candidates should obtain a minimum score in each section of the exam and also a qualifying total score. Those candidates will be qualified for the interview who qualify the minimum requirement of the marks. It depends upon the total number of vacancies what does the cut offs go and what number of candidates are shortlisted for the interview.
The ratio of the IBPS PO CWE and interview would be 80:20. Candidates shortlisted will be recruited for the post of PO/MT in the participating banks only by clearing the interview.
The sectional and overall cut offs are determined by normalizing the cut off score. Sectional cut off is the minimum score in a particular section. Apart from clearing all the sectional cutoffs in IBPS PO exam, candidates have to clear the minimum required marks on the total marks. This is known as overall cut off.
IBPS PO Pre Cut off and IBPS PO Mains cut offs are depended on the following factors:
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for the interview. Cut offs are decided on the number of vacancies. On the basis of this, candidates are shortlisted for the interview. Marks secured by the candidates will not be shared before the completion of interview process.
Candidates should note that the marks scored in the IBPS PO Mains will only be considered for shortlisting for the interview and the merit listing.
By using equi-percentile method, total marks secured by each of the candidate appeared in IBPS PO 2017 are normalized. The average score is round up to the 2 decimal points and then it is considered for the calculation of the IBPS PO cut off score.
Cut offs are applied in 2 stages- sectional score and overall score. ¾ of standard deviation mean is considered cut off for SC/ST/OBC and PWD category candidates.
