IBPS PO 2017 Application Form

IBPS PO 2017 Registration window becomes functional from May/ June 2017. The Application Process will be purely done through Online mode. Before filling the Form, it is important for candidates to go through the IBPS PO Eligibility.

Candidates can access the Online Application Form for IBPS POfrom the official site of the IBPS- ibps.in. Candidates are required to submit the Application Fee for completing the online application process. All the details should be carefully filled and verified as no modifications are possible after final submission of application form.

IBPS PO 2017 Application Fee

The Application fee for IBPS Exam for PO is to be paid within the stipulated deadline for completing the IBPS PO 2017 Registration. By submitting the fee the registration for the exam of IBPS will be final. The fee can be deposited using Debit Cards(RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets facility. There is no offline mode for depositing the Application Fee.

The IBPS PO Application Fee is different for all the categories. Candidates can go through the following table to know about the Fee.

All the bank charges would be borne by the candidates only. For Credit card, charges would be listed in Indian rupee. In case someone will use non-Indian credit card, your bank would convert to your local currency based on the current market exchange rates.

Note: On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form. Please note that if the same cannot be generated online transaction may not have been successful.


How to Apply for IBPS PO 2017?

Candidates are required to register themselves on the official site of IBPS and then fill the remaining application form online. The IBPS PO Application Process is a basically a 5 step process:

Pre-requisites for filling Application Form for IBPS PO

For the form filling process, there are some mandatory documents that a candidate is required to keep with them. A candidate who is fully prepared will make his/ her whole registration process for IBPS PO quick and easy. 

Candidates are required to-

  • scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications.
  • keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges
  • have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of Common Recruitment Process
  • Working Phone/ Mobile number.

Note(s):

  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
  • Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to/ of any other person.

Candidates have to upload their recent passport size photograph and signature in the IBPS PO 2017 Application form. All the applicants are required to upload the documents with proper specifications. The specifications for Photograph and Signature is provided in the table below.

Note: The photograph and signature should be clear and accurate as Application form with unclear images would be summarily rejected.

Procedure for Scanning Photograph and Signature

Candidates must adhere to specific guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature to obtain desired output required for uploading them while filling the online application form.

  • Set resolution of scanner to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)
  • The color should be set to true color
  • Follow the specification for file size as specified above
  • The image in the scanner should be cropped to the edge of photograph/signature and use uploading editor for cropping the file size to get the desired output
  • Image of the file should in .jpg or .jpeg format. The file name should be preferable mentioned as Photograph.jpg or Photograph.jpeg.
  • The photo and signature in the .jpeg format of desired specification (50kb and 20 kb) could be obtained by windows user with the help of MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager
  • Use the ‘Save As’ option in file menu to save scanned image of photograph and signature of any format in .jpg format and with preferred file size. The file size can be reduced below 50kb and 20kb respectively for Photograph and Signature using crop and resize option.
  • Error message would be displayed while uploading if the files are not uploaded in the prescribed file size and format
  • Candidate would be provided with a link to upload their photograph and signature at the time of filling the online application form.

What is the IBPS PO 2017 Application Process?

The Application Process for IBPS PO is divided into 5 steps starting from the online Registration Process followed by uploading images and filling the remaining details. Candidates are required to deposit the fee after filling other details in the online application form. Finally, candidates have to submit all the details and take printout of the confirmation process.

Step 1: Registration

The first step for filling the IBPS PO 2017 Application Form is the online registration. Candidates have to visit the official website of IBPS for online registration and then click on “Click here for New Registration”.

Candidates are then required to enter the details mentioned below. The details are related to name, mobile no., email id, etc. for completing the registration process.

Details entered during Registration should be filled carefully as these details cannot be modified at later stages. The registered mobile number and email address would be used by IBPS for sending any official communication.

After the candidates complete the registration process, the system generated Registration No. and Password would be sent via SMS and email on the mobile number and email address mentioned during registration.

Step 2: Uploading Photograph and Signature

The next step after the completing the registration process is uploading scanned images of photograph and signature. Photograph and signature must be clear and in the required specifications otherwise the Application Form would be liable for rejection.

The steps to be followed for uploading Photograph and Signature:

  • 2 separate links are provided for uploading Photograph and Signature
  • Click on the individual link for “Uploading Photograph” and “Uploading Signature”
  • Browse and find the location where the scanned image for photograph/signature is saved
  • Use the ‘Open/Upload’ button by selecting the file

Note: The face in the photograph or signature should not be unclear or else the application is going to be rejected. Candidates should carefully check and verify that the photograph and signature are properly uploaded. In case of any discrepancy, the candidates have to re-upload their photograph and signature before submitting the application form.

Step 3: Filling Details in the Application form

Candidates have to fill the remaining details in the online application form after uploading Photograph and Signature in the online application. This section is related to filling preference for taking pre-exam training, center for pre-exam training, preference for organization, etc.

Candidates should put the preference for Organization carefully as the provisional allotment after selection process would be done according to the preference indicated by the candidates in the application form.

Candidates can preview theIBPS PO Application Formafter filling in the all the details at this stage by clicking on “Save and Next” option. Candidates cannot modify any details once they click on “Final Submit” button.

In case of any discrepancy, candidates should modify the details accordingly and then submit the details.

Step 4: Fee Payment

The next stage after submission of all the details in the online application form isIBPS PO Registration Fee. Candidates are required to pay the stipulated application fee applicable for their category. The fee can be remitted throughvarious online modes of payment i.e., Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets, etc.

Candidates are re-directed to the merchant website for payment of the application fee. Applicants are required to fill the requisite details to complete the transaction.

The Payment mode and Amount would automatically populate in their respective fields. Candidates are required to enter the “Security Code” and click on “Submit” button. Once they are redirected on the bank’s/merchant’s website, they can fill the remaining details and complete the transaction.

On completion of the payment, candidates would receive an acknowledgment receipt of the payment.

Step 5: Confirmation

The successful payment of application fee marks the end of the Application process. Candidates can download the duly filled application form after checking all the details. The sample for filled IBPS PO Application form is mentioned below.

Retrieving IBPS PO Password

Candidates can the login using the Registration ID and Password for completing the partially filled Application forms. Similarly, login credentials would be required later on for downloading IBPS PO admit card, logging in for the online exam and accessing score card.

There is a possibility that candidates are not able to remember the password for logging in. However, there is no need to fret as the there is an easy option to retrieve the IBPS PO Password. The steps to retrieve the password are mentioned below.
