Exam is conducted in two phases- Prelims and Mains. The IBPS Clerk Prelims examination consists of 100 questions. It is an online test of 100 marks. IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2017
IBPS Clerk Recruitment is a two stage process which are:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main examination
The prelims test is conducted in the month of November or December. It is the first stage of the IBPS Clerk Recruitment. It comprises three sections (English, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning) with a total weightage of 100 marks. Depending upon candidate’s performance, an adequate number of candidates in each category will be shortlisted for online main examination.
The candidates shortlisted for the main examination have to appear for the same on December 31, 2017 and January 01, 2018. It is 200 marks examination comprising 5 sections (English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge). The marks obtained during this stage decide the selection of the candidate as a clerk in the desired bank.
IBPS Clerk Provisional Allotment Process
The provisional allotment process is done post conduction of the interview. The various important considerations of the process are given below:
- The scores of Mains are calculated out of 100 instead of 200 marks for the provisional allotment.
- The candidates are chosen to fill the vacancies offered by the Participating Organizations after the completion of the Main Examination.
- Candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organizations, based on merit-cum preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt.
- A candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC who is selected on standards similar to General Category candidates will be selected on their own merit basis.
- As the provisional allotment will be made to participating organizations on merit cum preference basis, once the provisional allotment is made, no request for change shall be entertained.
IBPS Clerk Eligibility 2017
The candidates have to initially satisfy the IBPS Clerk Eligibility for the exam to undergo the IBPS Online Application. The candidates have to fulfil the minimum age requirement, academic qualification and citizenship criteria to be eligible for the IBPS Clerk exam. Any candidate who is found ineligible for the IBPS Clerk at any stage of the IBPS Recruitment Process will be disqualified immediately.
The candidates must carefully mention the category as no change of category will be entertained post submission of the IBPS Online Application. The candidate has to produce the requisite documents to prove the IBPS Clerk Eligibility. The IBPS Clerk Eligibility is explained below:
- Graduation in any discipline.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must be minimum 20 years old.
How to Apply Online for IBPS Clerk 2017
The candidates have to enter basic details about himself/herself during the IBPS Online Registration. Valid personal details and an active e-mail ID and mobile number must be provided as a provisional registration number and password is sent on the same.
After completing the IBPS Online Registration, the candidates have to upload the requisite documents in prescribed format. After that the candidates have to fill a detailed application form for IBPS Clerk with correct and complete information. A preview of the filled application form is also available to check the details entered in the IBPS Clerk Application Form and correct them before the final submission.
Fee remittance is to be carried out at the end of the IBPS Clerk Application Process in online mode only. The steps followed at every stage of the IBPS Clerk Application Process are mentioned below:
The information mentioned in the IBPS Clerk Online Application must be authentic, true and correct to avoid cancellation. The candidates need to upload jpeg format, recent colored image with white background and dimensions (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), file size – 20kb to 50kb and 200 x 230 pixels. Similarly, for signatures, download scanned image (white sheet using Black ink pen of dimensions – 4.5cm x 3.5 cm, file size (10kb – 20kb) and pixels – 140x60).
IBPS Clerk Application Fee 2017
The candidate has to remit the application fee for IBPS Clerk in the last step of the IBPS Online Application. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category are required to pay INR 100 for the IBPS CLERK Online Application whereas other categories have to pay INR 600. The Application fee for IBPS Clerk can be paid only through online mode i.e. payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/IMPS or Mobile Wallets/Cash Cards.

IBPS CLERK Admit Card 2017
The candidates must note that the IBPS Clerk Admit Card will be available for download on the official website of IBPS. No candidate will receive the IBPS Clerk Admit Card via e-mail or post. IBPS publishes different call letters for pre-exam training, prelims and mains. The IBPS Clerk Call Letter for pre-exam training will be avail on the official website from October 25, 2017. IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2017
The main examination of IBPS Clerk 2017 consists of 5 sections namely General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness (banking based) and Computer Awareness.
The candidates are marked negatively for incorrect answers in both prelims and mains for IBPS Clerk exam. Candidates are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. Candidates lose ¼ mark for incorrect answer. No marks is awarded in case of a non-attempted question. The candidates are required to save their answers before saving them.
It is necessary to prepare for IBPS Clerk according to the IBPS Clerk Syllabus. The IBPS Clerk 2017 is an online mode i.e. computer based test. It is a two stage entrance test for recruitment as a Clerk namely Prelims and Mains. There are objective type questions in English and Hindi for each stage of IBPS Clerk exam.
IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern for Main Examination
The candidates are shortlisted for Mains on the basis of their marks obtained in the Prelims. The medium of the IBPS Clerk is English for the General English section whereas it is English and Hindi for other sections. IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern for Preliminary exam
The preliminary examination comprises of 100 multiple choice questions in total which have to be completed in 1 hour (60 minutes). The prelims will be conducted on November 26, 2016, November 27, 2017, December 03, 2017 and December 04, 2017 (if required). The time duration varies for the candidates with disabilities.

IBPS Clerk Exam Center 2017
IBPS is the allocating authority which reserves the rights to allocate the preferred IBPS Clerk Exam Center. The allotted IBPS Clerk Exam Center will be indicated on the IBPS Clerk Admit Card. The candidates have to indicate their choice of IBPS Clerk Exam Center during the IBPS Clerk Application Process while filling the details in the Application Form.

IBPS Clerk Result 2017
The IBPS Clerk Result for will be declared separately for each stage of the IBPS Clerk exam. The result of preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk 2017 helps the candidate to qualify for the main examination of IBPS Clerk. The candidate who scores marks equivalent to the marks in IBPS Clerk Cut off for main examination qualify for the post of the clerk in the desired bank. The IBPS Clerk Result for Pre exam is expected to be declared by the month of November.
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions of the main exam will be normalized using the equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations. There is a combined result or score for qualification to the provisional allotment process.

The official IBPS Clerk Answer Key is different for Prelims and Mains. IBPS does not release the answer key separately, it is released by various private institutes.
