GUJCET 2018 Exam Pattern

GUJCET 2018 Exam will be conducted in May, 2018 in offline mode for admission in engineering and medical courses. GUJCET 2018 Exam Pattern comprises of 3 subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. There will be 40 multiple choice questions (MCQ) each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects.

  • Candidates have to complete their exam in 3 hours.
  • 1 mark will be allotted for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • A candidate can score maximum 120 marks in the exam.
  • GUJCET exam can be attempted in three languages viz. English, Hindi and Gujarati.

The questions in the GUJCET 2018 will be asked from the syllabus of Class XII as prescribed by the GSEB Board.

The mode of exam will be conducted in offline mode. There will be a single question paper consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions based on subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

GUJCET 2018 Exam Pattern

GUJCET 2018 exam will consist of total 120 questions. Multiple choice questions will be asked and four options will be provided out of which one option will be the answer. The maximum marks of the examination will be 120 marks

Marking Scheme

GUJCET 2018 Important Instructions

The answer is to be recorded in an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet that will be given with the question paper in the examination hall. There are a few guidelines candidates should follow:

  • OMR sheet and question paper will have A, B, C, D type written on it. Candidates are required to fill the OMR sheet details accordingly.
  • Candidates should check whether the pre-printed type of booklet and answer sheet are same.
  • Candidates are required to circle the correct alternative with a blue or black pen. The circle should be darkened completely.
  • Redoing and darkening two circles or cancelling the darkened circles is not allowed. Candidates must darken only ONE circle.
  • Here is an example:

Ques. Mumbai is the capital of which state?

  1. Tamil Nadu   B. Karnataka C. Gujarat  D. Maharashtra

Ans. Candidate is required to darken the alternative ‘D’ in the given circle in the OMR sheet.

  • If any changes are made after darkening the circle once, it will not be accepted. The negative marking will be applicable for such answers.
