GSAT Exam Pattern 2018

GSAT 2018 or GITAM Science Admission Test will be conducted by GITAM University for admission into various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Science at GITAM GIS (Institute of Science). The exam will take place in May 2018 at various centres in Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India.

GSAT 2018 entrance test is conducted for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different subjects as mentioned above. With a few exceptions (as discussed later in the article), the general exam pattern for both the graduate programs is as follows:

  • The question paper will contain 60 multiple-choice questions.
  • The question paper will contain 3 Sections: A, B, and C. Each section will be based on syllabus from relevant subjects.
  • The duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark.

The syllabus of GSAT 2018 admission test will be based on the subject in which the admission is being sought.

GSAT Exam pattern 2018

As discussed above, GSAT 2018 entrance test is conducted for both, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different subjects. With a few exceptions (as discussed later in the article), the general exam pattern for both graduate programs are similar.

GSAT 2018 Marking scheme

The general marking scheme of the paper is as follows:

  • The total marks for each paper is 60.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.

Important Guidelines for GSAT 2018

While taking the exam there are some important instructions to keep in mind. They are as follows:

  • Admit Card must be brought by the candidate on the day of exam and preserve it for future use.
  • Admit Card/ Hall ticket of GSAT 2018 is unique and not transferable. The candidature of the candidate will be terminated in any case the admit card is tempered.
  • Candidates are allowed to use only black or blue ball point pen.
  • Candidates are required to bring the admit card, application form, attested copy of the caste certificate.
  • All the electronic gadgets like calculator, log tables, mobile etc are prohibited.
  • You are advised to attempt all the questions as each question carry 1 mark each.
  • Candidate must return the OMR sheet along with the question booklet. Make sure that the OMR sheet should not be tempered and circle the answer option properly
  • The circles that are not marked properly will not be counted.
