GSAT Application Form 2018

GSAT 2018 Application Form will be available for download from the official website of GITAM University, www.gitam.edu. Application Forms will be available from March and can be accessed till April 2018.

  • The application form can be downloaded online and by post. The candidate can send a letter to the principal requesting for the application form.
  • Post downloading the application form, the candidates will have to fill in all necessary information.
  • The application form should be printed and filled in neatly and legitimately with all necessary information.
  • The exam fees might vary based on the category of the applicant.
  • Candidates appearing for more than one test need to submit separate application along with the prescribed fee of INR 300 for each exam.
  • The demand draft should be drawn in favour of GITAM University and should be payable at any bank in Visakhapatnam. 
  • The filled in application form should be sent to GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM University addressed to the principal.
  • The application form will be evaluated by the authenticity of the information and the candidate will be called for a direct exam.

GSAT (GITAM Science Admission Test) is conducted by GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management) for graduate students who are interested in pursuing UG and PG courses in the field of science. Various courses inclusive of Applied Mathematics, Physics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, etc can be applied through the exam.

GSAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

The minimum eligibility criterion for applying for GSAT 2018 is a graduate degree in the core subject or allied subject. Candidates should have a minimum aggregate percentage of 50% for consideration. The eligibility differs for each major and the candidates are valued through their consistency and performance in the subjects.

The candidates with be selected on merit basis for the examination. The University offers 5 years integrated programs in Biotechnology and Chemistry.


How to Fill GSAT Application Form 2018?

GSAT Application Form 2018 can be downloaded from the official website, www.gitam.edu. The form can be downloaded from the admissions link of the website.

  • The application form should be filled in capital letters.
  • Read through the application form carefully before filling in the information.
  • It is recommended to fill in a Xerox copy of the application form before filling in the original form.
  • The application form should in filled in Blue / Black smudge proof pen.
  • The Test code and centre code details will be available in the application prospectus.

Applications can be obtained by post from Principal, GITAM Institute of Science. A request has to be set on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address, along with a DD of INR 350 (inclusive of Test fee INR 300) which should be drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.

Request by post will be accepted till mid-April 2018. The application fee for five year Integrated M.Sc. Chemistry is INR 500.

Candidates appearing for more than one test need to submit separate application along with the prescribed fee of INR 300 for each exam.

The steps to be followed to fill GSAT Application Form 2018 are:

Step 1: Filling of Details

  • Basic Information- The applicant surname should be filled in first and the name of the father should be filled in Name of the Parent /Guardian. When it comes to selecting an option like Sex or Reservation Category, tick on the right option. The other options can be cancelled through slight neat strike.
  • Examination Details- The Qualifying Exam is the degree completed by the candidate and abbreviation are permitted. Write the group subjects opted and enter the name in full. Do not enter abbreviated and short forms of the subjects. GITAM University permits final year students to apply for the test so pick the appropriate option
  • Address for Communication- the address given for communication should be a functioning address as all correspondence from the college will be sent. The address should be written clearly in capital letters with proper pin-codes. Fill in the phone number with STD code and email address.

Step 2: Photo and Signature detail

The signature of the candidate should be professional and avoid any icons. Affix a recent passport size photograph in the application. The photograph should be taken in a formal dress in a dark background

Step 3: Fee Payment

The exam fees should be paid by Demand Draft in favour GITAM University and payable at all banks in Visakhapatnam. The demand draft should be issued before the completion of the deadline. Plan well in ahead to avoid unforeseen circumstances. Enter the exact demand draft number, date in the prescribed format, Amount inclusive of DD Charges and Bank details. The date should be mentioned in DD/MM/YYYY format.

The duly filled application forms along with attested copies of the required documents and DD must be sent to the following address. The last date to send the application forms for PG courses is April 2018 while UG or Integrated courses applicants can send by May 2018.

  • Birth Certificate
  • 10th / 12th Certificate
  • Degree / provisional certificate of the course completed for PG applicants. If the candidate is in the final year, he can submit a bonafide certificate from the college
  • Caste Certificate issued by proper authority
  • Medical Certificate for candidates applying under Physically Handicapped Category

Application Form Correction

In case of any corrections in the submitted application form post submission, you can send a mail to the university office requesting them to change the details. The letter should be written in a neat white paper and addressed to the principal. Be polite and request for the change in the form. Clearly mention the error and also the data to be corrected to enable them to consider your request
