GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is an online assessment test owned and conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council), a non-profit council of Business Schools all over the world. Along with its service providers-Pearson VUE and ACT, GMAC conducts the GMAT Exam every year for recruiting students to more than 6000 programs provided in the Business Schools globally.
The GMAT Registration Process is available throughout the year. It is the candidates’ discretion as to when and where to take the GMAT Test. However, they have to choose the GMAT Exam Date and center from the list available in the official website.

GMAT is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) and acts as a student recruiting tool for the Graduate Business schools. The aspirants of GMAT can go through the list of myriad universities, fellowships and organizations that either accepts the GMAT score or require GMAT Score for admission to various programs offered in the official website of GMAC. The steps to find the GMAT Score accepting institutes and organization are given below:

There are certain eligibility criteria for applying to GMAT Exam. The candidate must satisfy certain age limit criteria and there are different norms and regulations regarding the number of attempts which are stated below:

Steps to select GMAT Exam Dates and location
Note: One can select up to three GMAT Exam Centers in order to compare the availability.
The GMAT Fee is primarily charged for taking the examination. However, there are other charges incurred for rescheduling the GMAT Exam, canceling the GMAT Test and for requesting additional GMAT Score Report. Besides the registration fee, there are certain tax rates charged in countries wherever applicable. The common fee details are tabulated below:

There are various acceptable modes of payment for the GMAT Exam. A candidate can pay via both online and offline mode.

Note: Certain Indian Banks’ Debit card will not be accepted if the bank doesn’t participate in verified by Visa or Master Card Secure code i.e. it will require the customer to enter a pin number.
If the credit card or debit card is not accepted, the registration will automatically be canceled and the candidate has to schedule for another appointment with a valid mode of payment.
Offline GMAT Fee payment modes:
The candidates aspiring to take the GMAT Test can undergo the GMAT Registration process at any time of the year. However, the provision of taking the test will depend on the availability of GMAT Exam Dates. Hence it is advisable to the candidates that they devise a proper timeline prior to registering for the examination. The GMAT Registration process is accessible in both online and offline modes.
In order to register for the GMAT Exam, the first step is to create an account with GMAC in the official website of GMAT. Once the account is created the candidates can opt for any of the below mentioned GMAT Registration Processes. The same modes are available for rescheduling or canceling the GMAT Test.
In order to schedule the GMAT Exam via online mode, the candidates have to open the official online registration portal and register themselves with GMAC. Once registered, they will need to fill all the required details step-wise and confirm it before submitting it online. The step-wise process of scheduling the GMAT Exam is detailed in the section below:
Step 1: Registration with GMAC
Note: Since this an official GMAT Profile, the Name details and Date of Birth details should exactly match the candidates’ Identification. Once the details are submitted they have to contact the GMAT Customer Services to make any changes.

The next step is verification of all the details entered. Once the candidate has verified all the information entered beforehand, he/she can confirm and submit.
Step 4: Scheduling the test
The candidate is required to select the GMAT Exam Date and Location.

The candidate has to confirm all the exam details entered.
Step 6: Pay the GMAT Fee
The next step is to pay the GMAT Fee. Once the payment is done, the candidates will be directed to the registration confirmation page.
NOTE: Regardless of the mode of GMAT Exam Registration, a registration confirming Email will be sent to the candidate.

The GMAT Exam Date and appointment will confirmed on the call itself.
In case the candidate opts to register via fax the candidate can obtain the International Test scheduling Form from the official website. The completely filled form must be sent seven days prior to the first GMAT Exam Date preference. In order to do so, they have to fill the Appointment Schedule Form.
In this mode of registration, the candidate can pay via Visa, Master card, Credit Card and American Express.

If the candidate is registering by emailing the form, it should be accompanied with money order or credit card information with the form. Those forms received without payment will be returned. Besides, they must also keep in mind that it might take up to 8 weeks for the letters to reach the address. The completed form should be mailed to the following address:

If the candidate wishes to cancel the GMAT Test, he can do so online or via phone. However, there are cancellation charges incurred according to the cancellation date.
Before 7 days of the GMAT Exam, if the GMAT Test is canceled 7 days prior to the exam through online mode, the candidate will receive a refund of US$80. This can be done by logging in to the account of the candidate and canceling the test. If the same is done by phone, a credit of US $80 will be charged along with a service charge of US $80.
Less than 7 days prior to GMAT Exam-In such a case the candidate receives no refund. However, if the cancellation is done by phone a service charge of US $80 is charged.
If you miss your scheduled exam time for any reason, your registration fee will be forfeited
The candidate can reschedule the GMAT Exam online or by phone. The GMAT rescheduling fee is US $50. In doing so via phone an extra service tax of US $10 is charged. Any changes made 24 hours prior to the exam day cannot be processed. If for any reason the candidate misses the exam, he/she can reappear without waiting for 16 days from the Exam date.
GMAC provides the provision of taking the GMAT Test for the Test Takers with disabilities. They are provided with assistance and accommodations upon request within the stipulated time duration before the exam. The process for registering for the GMAT Exam and requesting accommodations is detailed below:
