There will be separate papers for 23 different engineering disciplines included in GATE 2017. Therefore, candidates need to focus on understanding core concepts & topics as well as go through the previous year question papers for a comprehensive preparation.

In the last few days leading up to GATE exam, candidates should go through the sample papers and mock tests to test their preparation and get hands on practice in solving questions. The question papers and mock tests for individual papers will help the candidates to identify the important topics and their weightage for that particular paper

All the candidates are advised to carefully go through the GATE exam pattern to check the overall marking scheme and scoring system. GATE Exam has mainly 3 sections - General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics and Technical knowledge of that particular subject. There will be total 65 questions and a total of 100 marks allocated for the exam. Around 75% – 80% weightage is given to the technical knowledge of that particular subject.

GATE previous year question papers and mock tests is bound to help the aspirants in familiarizing themselves with the pattern of questions and gain speed & precision required to score well in the exam. Candidates can download GATE previous year question papers, mock tests and section-wise sample papers for all the 23 GATE paper codes from the links provided below.
