GAT PGT 2017 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
The exam pattern for GITAM GAT 2017 has been announced by the GITAM University. The exam will take place from April 16 to April 30, 2017 at different GITAM GAT Test Centers. The exam is taken online and candidates are only allowed to give this exam once every year.
The University holds 25% of seats for meritorious students from Karnataka State for admission at Bengaluru Campus. GITAM GAT 2017 has multiple choice questions of four marks each. Each incorrect answer deducts one mark from the candidate’s total. The unanswered questions go unmarked. The duration of the test will be two hours.
Aspiring candidates can also appear for a mock test taken by the GITAM University to get candidates familiar with the types of questions asked, and how to manage the three sections in the given time frame. GITAM Results will be annonced in online mode on May 05, 2016.
GITAM GAT PGT is an online exam with a duration of two hours. The language of the test will be English. GAT PGT will consist of three sections that have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The questions vary from student to student as a number of sets are generated from a large question bank. An expert committee ensures that the question sets are of equal standard level, content, question type, etc.
Each question has a weightage of 4 marks. For each wrong answer, the candidate will get one mark reduced from his/her total marks. Unanswered questions will be awarded no marks. The section-wise detail of the GITAM GAT are as follows:

The syllabus for GITAM GAT is released by the University for every section separately. It is important for the candidates to know the GITAM GAT syllabus so that they can start working on their weak points and strengthening their strong points. The section-wise syllabus, along with the total number of questions in that section, is given below:
