DU LLB 2017 Result

DU LLB Exam for admission in LLB Programmes offered by University of Delhi was successfully conducted on June 22, 2017. Now,  DU LLB Results are around and will be declared soon. Post Results, Candidates will be called for DU LLB 2017 Counselling Process according to the prepared merit lists. These Merit Lists are prepared on the basis of prformance of candidates in DU LLB 2017 Exam. Admission to the programmes will solely be dependent upon the Merit List Prepared.

Candidates can review their answers from the official answer key. After the DU LLB Entrance Exam, students will be able to see the proposed answer key of DU LLB entrance examination on the Delhi University official website. Candidates will also be able to report the objection against the answer key or challenge the answer key within 10-15 days after the answer key has been displayed. To challenge the answer key the candidate must have authoritative written proof of the claim of correct answers with supporting documents (not objective test books but from descriptive texts).

The Result is expected to be declared at the official website on or before 1st week of July, 2017. Following Result,DU LLB 2017 Counselling will be scheduled by the 3rd week of July. Out of Total 2611 Seats, 301 seats are reserved for different categories including Physically Handicapped, War widows and Foreign Nationals.

Once the results are declared by the University, they shall remain final and no communications will be further entertained in this regard. On the university website, there will also be a merit list displayed by the university. On the basis of the results, DU LLB counselling will be held by the university to confirm admissions.

How to Check DU LLB 2017 Result?

The DU LLB 2017 Result of the Entrance Test will be displayed by June, 2017 at the University website and the Notice Board of the Admission Committee, Faculty of Law. All notices relating to admission, counselling, etc. shall be displayed only on the Notice Board of the Admission Committee, Faculty of Law or the University website. No individual communication will be sent to any candidate for this purpose.

Candidates can check their DU LLB Results by following given simple steps-

  • Visit to the official website
  • Click on ‘Results’ tab, where you will find, ‘Result of DU LLB Entrance Exam 2017’ link
  • Click  on the ‘Result of DU LLB Entrance Exam 2017’
  • Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth
  • Candidate’s result will be displayed on the screen
  • Save the result and take out its print out

University will also publish a list of the DU LLB result on the website. The list will contain the Candidate’s Name, Category, Marks and Rank as per the result of DU LLB 2017. If selected, the candidate can find his name in the List.

Display of Answer Key

The university will declare the proposed answer key of LLB Entrance Test on the DU website on April, 2017. If the candidate finds any objection regarding the answer(s) or wants to challenge the answer key they will be able to do so in writing a report to the Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. The candidate challenging the answer key will also have to submit authoritative written proof of the claim of correct answers with supporting documents (not objective test books but from descriptive texts). They can do this either:

  • Present physically at the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Law till 05:00 PM , OR
  • By an e-mail to dean_law@du.ac.in with the subject line: ‘Objections to LLB. Answer Key’.

If the report has to be sent, it should be done within 10-15 days after the answer key has been displayed. After reviewing the reports submitted by the candidates, expert body of the Law teachers shall decide whether to make changes in the answer key or not. If changes are to be made, they will do so and notify the candidates soon. However, no objections regarding the final answer key shall be entertained.

Tie-Breaker

If by any chance, two or more candidates secure equal marks, it shall be considered a tie in DU LLB 2017 Results. To generate merit list, tie-breaker is used to define the ranking of the candidates. Given below is the criteria for tie-breaking used for generating merit list:

  • Qualifying marks: Candidates whose scores are tied, the candidate who secures higher marks in qualifying Degree Exam shall be selected for counselling.
  • Age of the Candidate: Out of the two or more candidates whose marks are tied, the candidate with age-wise seniority shall be selected for counselling.
  • Draw of lots: This method might be used by the university if the above two methods fail.

DU LLB 2017 Merit List

After the declaration of result, the University will also put out a Merit List. Merit list of DU LLB 2017 examination will be displayed after the declaration of Result. Based on this Merit List, the counselling procedure for DU LLB 2017 will be carried out and students in order of Merit will be assigned particular dates for DU LLB 2017 Counselling.

DU LLB 2017 Counselling

The Faculty of Law of the University of Delhi will conduct the Counselling based on the Results for admission to DU LLB Programme. The DU LLB counselling process will commence from 2nd week of July, 2017 and will continue till August, 2017 (tentative). Following are the general points regarding counselling-

  • The candidates shall be called in order of merit and asked to fill up Law Centre Option-Cum-Undertaking form.
  • The admission shall be offered as per the preference of the Centre given by the candidate subject to the availability of seats.
  • A candidate who has been offered a seat at a Law Centre will have no right to take admission at any other Law Centre. After admission, no student can claim change of his/her Law Centre.
  • The candidates failing to appear in person on the specified date and time for counselling shall forfeit his/her claim for admission.
  • All candidates including those whose results of the qualifying Degree examinations are awaited, must attend counselling as per the schedule.
  • Parents, relatives or friends of the candidates are not allowed to enter in the counselling hall.
