DU JAT 2017 RESULT & COUNSELLING

The Joint Admission Test (JAT) by the University of Delhi was successfully conducted on June 20, 2017 in the evening shift from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM. Result of DU JAT 2017 has been declared today. Candidates can check their results from the link mentioned below on the official website.

The University has also released a notice regarding the Group discussion cum personal interview round. It will publish a list of selected candidates category wise on the official website.Candidates have to carry following documents with them to the interview venue :-
Earlier known as DU BMS CET, DU JAT is counducted yearly and is one of the most popular and sought after entrance exams for admission to Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance Investment Analysis(BBA FIA), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and B.A (Hons.) Business Economics courses.
More than 3 lakh candidates applied for DU undergraduate programmes. The seats available in the courses for admission through DU JAT 2017 are limited. The DU JAT 2017 Cut off because of which is expected go higher than the previous years’.
DU JAT 2017 Results will be followed by Admission and Counselling procedure to the participating Institutes. The DU JAT 2017 Counselling and admission to desired branches will solely be done on the basis of Merit List prepared. The Merit List is prepared as per the marks scored by the candidates in DU JAT 2017. Ties among candidates are decided by the their marks in the qualifying exam.

The Final Result of DU JAT 2017 is prepared by considering 50% of the marks scored by the candidates in DU JAT 2017, 50 % of marks secured in the qualifying exam and 10% of marks is considered each from GD and PI. The final result and merit list is prepared on the basis of total marks scored by the candidates after these considerations.

The final DU JAT 2017 result and selection of candidates for BMS and BFIA is on the basis of XII performance in Boards, DU JAT, GD and PI.
While in the case of BA (H) Business Economics the final result and selection is based on XII Boards performance and DU JAT both.
To access their results, the candidates will have to visit the official website and enter their roll number post which the result of the candidate will be displayed. The result displayed will consist of overall and sectional scores.
In case two or more candidate score equal marks in the Final DU JAT 2017 Result, merit of such candidates are decided on the basis of following methods.
The DU JAT 2017 result will be declared at the official website on or before July 04, 2017. The results will be displayed in the form of Score cards to the candidates. DU JAT 2017 Results include Marks scored by candidates in DU JAT 2017, Sectional Marks score in DU JAT 2017 and Final DU JAT 2017 Score. Candidates can take refernce from the mentioned details for better understanding of DU JAT 2017 Result.
Once the final results have been declared, the process of counselling begins for admission to a total of one thousand one hundred and twenty-seven (1127) seats spread across thirteen (13) colleges of DU.
Last year in 2015, under all the six categories around seventeen thousand (17,000) candidates appeared for DU JAT out of which only one thousand nine hundred and sixty-six were shortlisted.
Counselling is conducted for all the categories.
The candidates’ allotment to the respective college and course will be as per their merit rank and the choice of preference as exercised by the candidate at the time of counselling subject to the availability of the seats.
Candidates are required to be personally present in the counselling sessions when their rank is invited. In case a candidate is unable to be present in person, then he/she can send any representative with an authority letter signed by the candidate along with the original copy of the DU JAT 2017 Application Form and Admit Card. In case, candidates or the representatives assigned by them fail to appear on the notified date of counselling when their rank is called for the allotment of course/college, they shall lose their chance and no further request for admission will be entertained.
During the counselling session, candidates shall be issued admission slips mentioning the college and course allotted. Candidates to whom admission slips have been issued are required to report to their allotted college and deposit the fees and fulfil the remaining admission formalities within the stipulated time period.
Candidates must make sure that to avail any change in their college/course preference, the candidate should have deposited the fees and fulfilled the other remaining formalities within the given time period in the college allotted in the last counselling session, failing which the candidate shall lose his/her right to admission as well as right to exercise any choice later.
Moreover, a change of course/college allotted in the previous counselling is available subject to the availability of seats in the course/college concerned as per the candidate’s merit.
Also, at the time of admission in the college, the candidates are required to give n undertaking that he/she has not taken admission to any other course/college in DU.
