DMRC 2017 Results

DMRC Result is declared on the official website on different dates for different posts. The result is generated in PDF format with list of candidates who qualify for the next stage of the selection process and their roll number. Candidates have to find their roll number in the given PDF to know if they have qualified for the further stage of the DMRC Selection Process.

The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the DMRC Exam for the post applied by them. The scores obtained by the candidate is compared to the marks mentioned in the DMRC Cutoff of the particular post.

The DMRC Selection Process involves the written exam, Group discussion and Personal Interview. However, DMRC to few posts is carried out without interview but candidates have to undergo a medical examination as the final step.


How to Check DMRC 2017 Result?

The results will be announced on the official website of DMRC three months after the exam for that post has been conducted. Sometimes, there may be a delay in announcement of results due to some valid discrepancy or unavoidable reasons. In such a case, the authorities will release a notice intimating the candidates of the revised schedule. Follow the steps given below to download the DMRC 2017 results:

  • Visit the official website of DMRC.
  • Navigate to the “Careers” section and find the appropriate result link for the relevant exam.
  • Click on the link “shortlisted candidates for the selection process for the post”.
  • The names of the candidate will be displayed on the screen.
  • Selected candidates should report for selection process at the Metro Bhawan, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi – 110001 on mentioned time.

DMRC 2017 Answer Key for SC/TO and JE

DMRC publishes the answer key for the DMRC exam conducted for different posts one week after the exam has been conducted. The DMRC Answer Key is published on the official website of DMRC in the careers Tab. The candidates can access the Answer Key for DMRC 2017 by entering the Registration ID and Password.

There are 120 questions in Paper I and 60 questions in Paper II of DMRC. There is a different set of questions in the Technical section of DMRC Exam while the pattern of general aptitude and english is similar. DMRC 2017 Merit List

After the declaration of results, the official merit list will be made available by the authorities. It must be understood that only those candidates, who are able to obtain the minimum cut-off, will find their roll numbers and names

The names of the DMRC 2017 Merit List will be arranged in the order of their performance in the entrance exam, that is, the marks obtained by them in the written test. All such candidates will be eligible for participating in the next round of DMRC selection process.

For accessing the merit list, the candidates will be required to visit the official website of DMRC and find the relevant link in the “Careers” section. After that, check the relevant link available near the mentioned post.

Candidates who have been selected according to the DMRC 2017 merit list will be called for the next round of GD and Interview. Depending on the post applied for, the selection rounds can vary. There may be two or more further rounds, so the candidates must check the specifics.


DMRC 2017 Selection Process

DMRC Selection Process judges the candidates’ knowledge, skills, experience, aptitude and physical fitness. There are multiple stages defined in the DMRC selection process and they are varied according to the posts.

Written Examination

The candidates have to initially undergo a written examination for DMRC Recruitment. The exam comprises of two papers scheduled in different sessions on the same day. The paper I comprises objective type questions to test the aptitude and technical skills of the candidate. Paper II checks knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary. The duration of the DMRC Recruitment exam is 2 hours 15 minutes.

Candidates have to solve 120 questions in Paper I in 90 minutes and 60 questions in Paper II in 45 minutes. The questions are objective type in nature. Paper I is bilingual (both Hindi and English) while Paper II has questions only in English. Candidates are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer and lose 0.33 mark for every incorrect answer.

Group Discussion

GD (Group Discussion) is an important part of the DMRC recruitment process. In this stage, generally a group of 5-6 candidates are given one topic. It is also termed as a rejection round. A GD is a technique used to check whether the candidate has certain personality traits and skills that are desired for the particular post. The aspects of conducting GD are as follows

  1. Verbal Communication of the candidate
  2. Non-verbal behavior of the candidate
  3. Decision-making ability skills of the candidate
  4. Cooperation ability of the candidate

Personal Interview

PI (Personal Interview) is a crucial component of DMRC selection process. As part of the Personal Interview, a candidate may have to face a panel of 4 or more interviewers. The questions asked in DMRC interview range from questions about Personal life, Educational Qualification, Extra-curricular activities, work experience, outlook on contemporary issues etc.


DMRC Expected Cut Off

The cut-off marks for a competitive DMRC written exam are decided on the basis of various factors. The DMRC 2017 Cutoff score will be determined foremost after considering the highest score achieved by the candidate. It will also be influenced by the number of vacant posts available for recruitment purposes and the reservation applicable for different categories.
