CMAT Registration 2017 started on October 10, 2016 and would last till December 15, 2016. The application form can be filled online on the official website for AICTE-CMAT. The application process is a three step process, i.e. Registration, filling application form, and application fee payment. Only candidates who complete the application process on time will be issued the admit card to appear for CMAT exam.
CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is an online test conducted annually by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). All the institutions/Universities affiliated with AICTE accept CMAT scores for MBA Admissions. This year, CMAT will be conducted on January 28, 2017. In order to apply for CMAT, a candidate must have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university in India.

The Registration Process is the first step of CMAT Application Process. Candidates have to provide all the requisite details to complete the registration process. A system generated Unique Password would be sent to the registered email ID of the candidates after completion of CMAT 2017 Registration Process.

After registering yourself successfully, you have to move to step 2 which is the application process wherein you need to fill the remaining part of the form. The candidate must fill in their details correctly in the Application Form in order to avoid rejection of their application. The steps to fill application form are explained below:
The next step after filling up the online Application Form is to remit the application fee. The application fee for different categories is as follows:-
Candidates can pay CMAT 2017 Application fee through following modes:-
1. ONLINE Mode: The payment of the application fee can be done through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
Steps to Pay Online
1. Select the mode through which you want to pay (Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card)
2. Check the declaration box and select 'I agree'.
3. Click on Submit and Pay button.
4. The dialog box directing to the payment will appear.
5. Fill the details as per the requirement.
6. After you have made the payment, an email and a SMS confirming the successful submission of application will be sent to the registered mail ID and mobile number by the CMAT Authorities.
2. CASH PAYMENT: The candidate can also pay by cash if this option is more suitable to him but cash payment is to be made in SBI bank only.
Steps to Pay through Cash
1. Select the option pay by CASH at any of the designated SBI Branch only.
2. After selecting this option, a challan will appear on the screen with your details filled in.
3. Take 3 print outs of the challan copy and fill the necessary details in all the three copies.
4. Move in to the nearest SBI Branch the next day and deposit the cash.
5. The bank will give you one copy of challan with stamp and a journal number written on it.
6. After depositing the cash, wait for 48 hours. Within 48 hours of payment at bank you will receive an email or SMS confirming that the payment has been updated on your registration portal.
7. The last day to pay by cash in bank is 11th December 2017 which will complete your registration by 13th December.
Note that last date of fee payment through cash is December 11, 2016
The Hall Ticket for CMAT 2017 would be issued only to the candidates who have successfully completed the CMAT 2017 Application Process and paid the requisite Application fee. It is a mandatory document for appearing in the CMAT 2017 entrance exam as well as required in the later stages of counselling and admission process. CMAT 2017 Admit card will be available on official website from January 13, 2017 (onwards). Candidates have to download it via following steps:-
Note that competent authority will not sent admit card through post or any other medium. Q. Is there any problem if I use any other email id than mine for the registration process of CMAT 2017?
Ans: Candidates are advised not to use any other email id while registering for CMAT 2017 as the email id should be unique and valid. Also, the ID should be active for next 7-8 months at least.
Q. Is it possible if I pay my fee through bank demand draft or cheque? Where do I have to pay my fee?
Ans: No, the option to pay the fee through bank demand draft or cheque is not available. It must be paid either online or by cash. To remit the fee by cash, candidates have to generate 3 copies of the challan & take printout and visit SBI branch the next day to deposit the cash.
Q. What is the official date decided for CMAT 2017? Is there any way to choose a test city?
Ans: CMAT in India will be held on January 17, 2017. Yes, you can easily choose any three cities as your test cities in India. The order in which you select the test cities will be the order of your preference and will be given due importance.
Q. The last date for registration is 10th of December. So if I generate challan on 10th December and make the payment the next day, will I be able to appear in the test?
Ans: Yes you can appear in the test even if you generate challan on December 10, 2016 and submit cash the next day because for all the existing users who have generated their challan, can complete their application process by December 13, 2016.
Q. Is there any way to change my preferred city after submission of CMAT application form?
Ans: Candidates will not be able to modify any information after submission of the application form.
Q. I have registered for CMAT 2017 and submitted the fee too but now I want to cancel it? Will my fee be refunded?
Ans: No. Refund of fee and withdrawal of application is not allowed under any circumstance.
Q. In case I don’t appear in the test, then my fee will be refunded or not?
Ans: There is no refund of Application fee at the time of CMAT 2017 registration.
